Han was at the studio working on his part of a group track, he was a bit behind since he had been sick the week before so now he was trying to catch up. He checked the lyrics and crinkled up the paper in frustration. A text appeared from Lee Know asking when he’d be home, ‘I don’t think I will tonight, don’t wait for me,’ he replied, ‘Be safe and take care,’ a reply so full of care but Han just put his phone away and continued to work. Han and Lee Know had been dating for a year but recently they had been so busy that the two barely saw each other but Han didn’t notice since he had so much to do. For Lee Know however it was very noticeable, he would finish his dancing and go to his vocal lessons and then he’d wait for Han to come home but he’d always fall asleep. Even on days Han would work shorter he wouldn’t come home until later and to say that Lee Know was feeling hurt and ignored was an understatement. “Why don’t you talk to him?” Chan asked Lee Know as they were cooking for the others, “There’s never any time,” the younger said sadly, “Let me talk to him then,” Chan urged but Lee Know shook his head. “Even if I appreciate your concern this has nothing to do with all of you and it’s for us to solve,” Lee Know said and went to tell the others that food was ready. They all could see him glance at the empty seat beside him but they just let him be like he asked. Han had gotten a coffee and a sandwich from the cafeteria at the company and then he continued to work. After some hours he checked the time, “2 am, I should go home,” he said and packed up before he left the company. When he got home he got into bed beside his boyfriend and drifted off to sleep almost instantly.
In the morning when Lee Know woke up Han was still sleeping, no matter how fed up and hurt he was there was something comforting about his boyfriend sleeping so peacefully. He carefully got up and went to wash up and eat something, as he was eating by the TV the others left to do their things until it was only him and Han left at the dorm. Lee Know noticed Han get up and almost instantly walk towards the door as soon as he was dressed and ready without even a word to Lee Know. “You’re not even going to say goodbye to me anymore?” Lee Know asked which startled Han, “I have to hurry and work,” Han said, “So even a goodbye or a kiss is too much to ask for from you now?” Lee Know asked and he could already feel himself losing his cool. “You know I have a lot to do, why are you talking about this now?” Han asked with a tired expression, “When then? Tell me Han, when should I talk about it?” Lee Know asked and stood up from the sofa. “Just let me finish working on this album,” Han said and shrugged but that little shrug was the drop for Lee Know. “You’re seriously going to just shrug and ignore me, even the days you stop working early you don’t come home… Do you have any idea of how much I miss you, it’s been a month now. It hurts…” Lee Know was crying at this point. “The others are still here though,” Han said shortly and Lee Know couldn’t believe what he just heard. “The others aren’t you though, they’re not my boyfriends Han, I need you and your attention. Our 1 year anniversary was when you were sick so I understand but still we could’ve celebrated another day but no then you went right back to ignoring me and just focusing at work and whatever it is you do…” Lee Knows’ words came out as broken, pleading screams but Han just turned and walked out but not before throwing a line back. “If you’re not happy with this then leave,” and with that Han went to the company, Lee Know just sank to the floor shaking with sobs. He cried until his tears dried out, “Maybe he’s right… Maybe I should just leave,” he sighed and went to their bedroom to pack. Seungmin came to the dorm to pick something up after his vocal lesson before he would go to the company when he saw the bags. “Hyung?” he called out since he knew these were Lee Knows’, when there was no answer he opened the door to the bedroom slightly only for Lee Know to push it close which kept the younger out.
Han was at the company but he couldn’t focus, his body and mind was screaming, then a text from Seungmin appeared, ‘Um… soo I know it’s not my thing to ask but did you guys fight?’ it read and Han replied with a shrug emoji, ‘You want him to leave? He’s packing and I can’t go in to him,’ Seungmins’ next text read. “Fuck…” Han swore, which made Chan and Changbin stare at him, “Hannie?” Chan asked carefully but Han just ran out without grabbing his things. Regret was eating him up, he hadn’t meant for Lee Know to actually leave, he ran faster than ever before to the dorm, he didn’t bother to ask for a ride and just ran. When he got there Seungmin was still trying to talk to Lee Know but to no avail, the two younger locked eyes and Seungmin nodded before he left. When Lee Know thought he was alone he finally left the room, his eyes red and puffy and his hair a mess, then he saw Han but ignored him and took his bags and went to the door. “Don’t go…” Han said, “You told me to,” Lee Know replied coldly, “I… I… Fuck…” Han couldn’t get his words out and tears spilled over as he ran over to Lee Know and hugged him from the back. “Let me go…” Lee Know said, “No, I won’t… I can’t… I’m sorry… I hurt you… I know I deserve this but please don’t leave, I’ll be better…” Han was shaking and crying so hard now as he clung to Lee Know. “You have work so go work…” Lee Know said, “I don’t want to work if you're not a part of it,” Han cried. “I need love and attention Han, I’m not just there to give it to you, I need it back and if you won’t give me that then I can just leave,” Lee Know said. “I’m sorry…” Hans’ voice had been reduced to a broken whisper and his grip on Lee Know loosened. Lee Knows’ anger melted away as he felt the loosening of the grip because he also felt Han fall, not sink to his knees but really fall. Quickly Lee Know turned around and caught Han before he hit the ground, “Hannie?” Lee Know was shaking him and just trying to wake him up but Han had passed out. Lee Know picked him up and took him to their bedroom where he put him on the bed before he ran and got a wet cloth. “Seems like I can’t leave you after all…” Lee Know whispered as he cared for his boyfriend. When Han woke up he felt weak, “Min…” he cried thinking that Lee Know was gone, “I’m here baby,” a soft voice came from beside him and he turned quickly to see Lee Know laying beside him. “I’m sorry…” was all Han could say before he started to cry again, but Lee Know just pulled him close and let the younger one cry against him. “I’m not leaving but we have to fix this,” he whispered as he held Han close, “Are you willing to fix it?” Han whispered since he now understood how much he hurt his Lee Know. “I am but we both have to put in the effort,” Lee Know said and Han nodded against his chest. “For now you should rest though, you’ve been working too much,” Lee Know whispered and held Han until the younger fell asleep in his arms. When the others came back they found the two sleeping close together all wrapped up in each other, Chan smiled and put the blanket properly over them. “Let’s let them be for a bit,” he said as he went out to the others, they all agreed and went to eat dinner at a restaurant. When Han woke up he felt so safe and comfortable, “How did I ever do what I did…” he whispered as he caressed Lee Knows’ face, “Just don’t do it again,” Lee Know whispered and leaned forward and planted a kiss on Hans' lips. Han kissed back and they melted into each other, “Let’s get something to eat,” Lee Know said as they pulled away. “Can you make the ramyeon you always made for me before?” Han asked carefully and Lee Know smiled gently, “Of course, come let’s take a shower and then I make it,” Lee Know said and got up. Han looked at him, “You coming?” the older asked and held his hand out to Han who carefully reached over and took it. The way Lee Know held his hand during the short walk from the bedroom to the bathroom felt so familiar yet so new and when he let go to undress Han the younger whined at the loss of the comforting hold. As their clothes were discarded they got into the shower and Lee Know pulled Han close to him as the water soaked them the older connected their lips and kissed Han with all the love that Han had forgotten. “Can you stay home and rest for a couple days?” Lee Know asked but Han shook his head, “I have to catch up,” he said quietly, “Then let me be there with you in the studio,” Lee Know said and Han nodded, “Please be with me,” he pleaded and Lee Know smiled and started to wash the youngers’ hair. After their shower Lee Know made the food while Han was hugging him from behind almost scared to let go. When the others got back after dinner they found the two watching a movie, their big empty bowls on the table and their bodies close together, “Are you two okay now?” Chan asked and Lee Know nodded which made everyone let out a sigh of relief.
After the make-up Lee Know started being with Han in the studio when he worked and Han also sometimes worked on his phone or laptop in the dance room while Lee Know practiced stuff. Lee Know also made sure Han rested and ate properly and also that he didn’t overwork, the incident brought them closer and they became a stronger couple thanks to the trial. “I love you, don’t ever forget that and know that I will never leave you,” Lee Know whispered to Han as they laid in the bed one night, “I love you too, I won’t forget again and please always stay with me,” Han whispered back, “I promise,” Lee Know replied and kissed Hans’ lips before they cuddled close and fell asleep.
