[A prequel to Come Home, My Darling] Hmmm. I am beyond grateful for this little extra chapter—I did not exactly doubt Dimitri’s…love…for Byleth, but since she is utterly dependent on him for her very existence, the main story smacks of Stockholm syndrome, with Dimitri working several dark magic angles to secure her devotion. This prequel helps me believe Byleth has been under a dark Magic herself, and he is, at least mostly, setting her free.
