Suguru opened his eyes slowly and let out a large yawn, his arms still tightly wound around Satoru’s waist. He rubbed his eyes with his free hand and shoved his head gently into Satoru’s shoulder.
“Suguru,” Satoru mumbled into Suguru's hair, his bright blue eyes illuminating Suguru’s room as they flickered open.
He hummed and gently pulled away from Satoru. He lifted Satoru’s shirt up and gently snaked his hands under the fabric and onto the skin of his back. Late last night, Satoru figured out how to share his infinity. Suguru was not going to keep his hands to himself anymore.
Satoru hummed and met Suguru’s eyes, a smile wide on his lips, “We’re going to be late to class today,” Suguru stated, his hands gently holding his hips (they weren't even a thing, he always had to remind himself).
“It’s the weekend,” Satoru smiled and bent his neck down to kiss his soft black hair.
“We have a mission today,” Suguru fought, his hands coming back to his side as he slowly sat up in his bed.
“Not until later,” Satoru reminded and grabbed Suguru’s shoulders until his body met his again, “just five more minutes.”
Suguru snuck a glance back at his dim digital clock and let his head fall against his small pillow, “Fine.”
Satoru let out a small cheer then wrapped himself over Suguru with a smile.
-
“You do know that you have a mission at one right?” Shoko asked as she peaked her head inside Suguru’s room, her eyebrow up to her hairline.
Suguru nodded, his fingers threading through Satoru’s hair, “Yeah, I know, I promised him five more minutes.”
Shoko smiled, light on her lips, “Just make sure he’s up at least an hour before you have to go, you know how he is,” she waved gently then closed the door softly.
Suguru turned his chin down to gaze at Satoru, his closed eyes and slightly parted lips. He smiled and ran his finger over his white eyelashes.
Satoru’s eyes opened harshly, blown wide in confusion as he looked at Suguru’s shocked face.
Suguru pulled his hands back and held them by his head to surrender as Satoru looked him up and down. Suguru didn’t meet his sharp gaze and instead looked around his room–his posters and small house plants.
“Sorry,” Satoru mumbled, his voice deep and raspy with sleep. He looked at Suguru, his messy hair that somehow ended up down, his large sleep shirt that looked too familiar to be Suguru’s, and his purple eyes.
Suguru smiled and placed his hands back down to his own side as Satoru lifted himself up to meet Suguru’s level.
His eyes blinked slowly, “I thought I asked for a few more minutes.”
“And I gave it to you,” Suguru smiled as he rose from his bed.
Satoru groaned and put his hands over his eyes and threw his head back. Suguru let out a small laugh past his lips then walked to his small bathroom.
He started the water and splashed his face with cool water as he started the water in the small shower. Satoru walked into the small space and looked at himself through the mirror.
Suguru smiled at his ragged movements then stripped himself down. He placed himself under the warm water and sighed. He lifted his head up and let the warm water run down his body.
Satoru whistled lowly and Suguru raised his eyebrow up with a smile. He reached for the thin plastic that wrapped around the small space and Satoru frowned.
“Aw, I was enjoying the show,” he complained and Suguru laughed.
“You’re fine Satoru.”
Satoru sighed, “I guess I’ll live, just very painfully,” he sighed again, this time deeper, “and very lonely.”
Suguru rolled his eyes as he reached for his shampoo that rested next to Satoru’s body wash and spread it over his long hair.
“I don’t know why you’re taking a shower when you know you’re going to have to take another one after this.”
Suguru shrugged his shoulders, “Well, I needed to wash my hair, it was bothering me,” he explained as he rinsed out the suds, his fingers gliding through his silk hair.
Satoru watched Suguru carefully wash his hair though the clear plastic, his focus on Suguru’s gentle face as he took care of himself.
“I can feel you staring at me,” Suguru broke Satoru out of his trace, his eyes soft as he looked at Satoru who was gazing lovingly at him.
Satoru hummed, “I can’t help it,” Suguru opened his conditioner, “You look ethereal.”
Suguru helped the condition through his hair and smiled, “I didn’t know you were the king of compliments today.”
“That extra sleep time was helpful,” Satoru grinned, his eyes meeting Suguru’s.
Suguru broke the contact and let the water push out the rest of the conditioner as he reached for his body wash.
“Good, I hate to have you in a bad mood while we have a mission together.”
Suguru nodded as he watched Suguru carefully wash his body, down his chest to the top of his navel.
“Satoru,” Suguru warned Satoru as his eyes traveled too far.
Satoru cleared his throat but continued to watch Suguru finish up his shower.
“Want to hand me my towel?” Suguru asked once he shut off the water.
Satoru rose from where he sat on the toilet and nodded as he handed Suguru his towel.
“Now go get changed, I’ll meet you out there,” he smiled and gave Satoru a gentle kiss on his cheek.
Satoru left the room with a small frown but let Suguru dry himself down as he got dressed for the day.
-
When they stepped out of the small car, Suguru gave a wave to their driver then pulled up a simple veil.
Satoru groaned and rolled his head, “And why do we have to do this again?”
Suguru pushed up his eyebrow and walked to the small gas station where presumably grade ones were waiting, “There’s only a few special grades, don’t whine Satoru.”
They approached the station that was abandoned, and in the middle of nowhere in the deep outskirts of Tokyo.
Satoru sighed, “Just promise me lunch after this?”
Suguru shrugged his shoulders then opened the rusted door for Satoru who walked through with his hands deep in his pockets.
He followed after him and searched through the empty shelves as Satoru carefully stood next to him.
“It’s in the back,” Satoru opened his eyes and looked at Suguru who tipped his head in the direction of the door.
“I’ll follow you.”
Satoru led them outside to the back of the store where old shipping boxes sat, disintegrating into the ground.
Suguru sighed and pushed his bangs back, “Where the hell–”
The curse then burst through the back of the store, bricks raining from the sky. Suguru summoned one of his curses to block the bricks, his body tucking close to the cement floor.
Satoru stood tall, his hands in his pockets, a smile wide on his lips. He looked back to Suguru, “You didn’t have to block,” he sighed, “remember, I shared my infinity with you.”
Suguru stood and dismissed his curse with a flick of his wrist and sighed, “Muscle memory.”
The curse then lunged at Satoru, its sticky limbs flailing in the air. Satoru jumped back as Suguru landed in front of him and threw his leg up in the air, kicking the curse down to the ground.
“Do we even have a plan?” Suguru asked as the curse gargled angrily, its arms coming up to hit Suguru over the head.
Satoru held up his hand and tossed his head to the side. Suguru took the hint and ran to his right to get behind Satoru as he hit the curse with Blue. The curse got flung inward, its body getting sucked to the center of the void Blue made.
“That’s our plan?” Suguru sighed from where he stood behind Satoru who smiled.
“Got a better idea?”
Suguru sighed, “Not until I actually fight it.”
Satoru stepped back, away from the curses range and let Suguru have the stage. He looked back at Satoru who smiled with a small tip of his head.
He watched the curse maneuver carefully as Suguru took in its disadvantages, large, sluggish movements, and its advantages, octopus-like arms (so a good grip), and six eyes.
Suguru chuckled to himself then summoned Rainbow Dragon, a favorite of his and Satoru’s. The dragon lunged at the curse, its jaw capturing the tentacle-like arms while its claws smashed its head to the floor.
Satoru whistled, “Not too bad Suguru,” he smiled as Rainbow Dragon twisted its head, its neck cracking uncomfortably.
Suguru approached the curse and let the Dragon go. He reached his hand out in front of himself to absorb the curse.
Its six eyes blinked quickly as its arms were released. Satoru watched carefully as it stood back up, now towering over Suguru before it lifted up one of its tentacles, ready to crush him.
“Well fuck me,” Suguru hissed before it made contact with his body.
Satoru shot up and flung Red at its head. The curse groaned and flew back on the gas station, its body hitting the old metal roof.
He ran toward Suguru where one of his hookworm curses carefully laid where Suguru was. “Come on, open up Suguru!” Satoru shouted, his knuckle rapping against green nose.
The curse opened its mouth, then disappeared, leaving Suguru clutching his right arm carefully, “Fucking hell,” Satoru groaned and pushed back Suguru’s bangs.
Suguru laughed through clenched teeth, “Fucking curse,” he looked at the top of the gas station and sighed.
“I got it from here,” Satoru frowned and carefully let go of Suguru’s side, “keep yourself propped up,” he called back to Suguru as he floated up to the roof.
Suguru nodded and closed his eyes as Satoru exorcized the curse swiftly.
“Do you want me to teleport you back?” Satoru asked once he came back to his side, his arms carefully bringing him up to his chest.
Suguru opened his eyes and sighed, “I’m okay,” he still held his arm close to his chest, “pretty sure I just broke it, not anything that Shoko can’t deal with.”
“You’re bleeding.”
Suguru looked down, “Fuck.”
Satoru sighed, his hand carefully keeping up Suguru’s legs while the other wrapped around his back, and rested carefully on his left shoulder, “I’ll take you back.”
“Only because you said so.”
-
Shoko sighed as Satoru carefully bumped open the door to the infirmary with his hip, carefully holding Suguru who was keeping his hold tight on Satoru’s jacket.
“Satoru,” Shoko frowned as he laid Suguru down on one of the small beds, “What happened?” She asked as she slipped on her plastic gloves.
“A Grade one curse, he thought that it was almost exorcized but it came back and swatted at him. I had infinity around him and he summoned one of his curses, the big ones that swallowed him, but it still got him.”
She huffed under her breath and carefully removed his uniform where blood started to soak through the thick fabric, she looked back at Satoru who was shuffling uncomfortably where he stood.
“I can tell you when I’m done,” Shoko smiled and Satoru left without another word.
-
Suguru woke up with a twinge in his right arm–like Satoru slept too long on it. He opened his eyes and yawned. His eyes traced the room around him and frowned. He was in the infirmary.
“Look who’s finally up,” Satoru called from the left of his bed, his chin resting at the side of Suguru’s leg.
Suguru hummed and let his head fall back down on the stiff pillow, “How long was I out?”
“Only a few hours,” Satoru smiled his hand grabbed Suguru’s with a small smile, “It wasn’t too nasty, Shoko just gave you some meds to help the pain, your bone was fucked up.”
He nodded and put his free hand over his forehead and sighed, “Wanna go back to my room?”
Satoru nodded, “Please.”
Suguru smiled and pulled himself up from the bed. Satoru stood from the raggedy chair and stretched his back carefully as it popped.
“I expect more than five minutes to sleep in tomorrow,” Satoru huffed and led himself and Suguru back to his small room where he curled himself around Suguru who only ran his fingers through his hair.
two
Suguru stretched his arms over his head and yawned as Yaga-Sensei continued to talk in front of the class.
He wasn’t having it today. He got barely any sleep last night because of Satoru shifting back and forth in the bed. He asked if he was okay, but only shook his head and tucked his nose under his chin. Then he woke again to Satoru sitting up, his hands pushed against his eyes.
Now that he looked over to Satoru, he didn’t look too hot either. His eyes behind his sunglasses were tired and red (irritated).
They were almost done, then they could venture back to his room and get much needed sleep.
But Shoko caught his arm before he was safe in his room, “Want to go out with Utahime and I?”
Suguru blinked slowed, “Sorry Shoko, I got no sleep last night, Satoru’s having a rough day, we’ll just stay behind.”
Shoko nodded understandably then left with a small clap to his shoulder.
He was free and soon joined Satoru under his covers with a deep sigh. He got blackout curtains just for this situation.
“Are you okay today, Satoru?” Suguru asked, his hands gently massaging Satoru’s scalp with his dull nails.
Satoru shook his head, his lips shut and Suguru took the hint–shut the fuck up. So he did, and he rested his eyes until there was tapping on his door that jolted him up from his deep sleep.
“Come in,” Suguru sighed, assuming it was Shoko ready to show him and Satoru just what she bought.
But instead of their best friend walking in, Yaga-Sensei opened the door quietly and eyed Suguru up and down.
“Um,” he started, clearly not expecting to see Satoru asleep in his arms, “you two have a new mission.”
That’s when Satoru shot up from Suguru’s hold and stared directly into Yaga’s eyes. His hair was tousled from Suguru’s massaging and his eyes were still pink from the lack of sleep.
He sighed and flopped back on the bed with a groan, “You scared the living shit out of me.”
Yaga curled up an eyebrow then left like he wasn’t even there.
Suguru pushed back Satoru’s messy bangs and rubbed his thumb carefully down his cheek, “Are you feeling any better?”
“Let’s just get this over with, sorry for being a bum today,” Satoru kicked his legs over the side of the bed and carefully dressed himself, his movements sloppy and unbalanced.
-
Satoru yawned again as they arrived just outside a small cemetery where a grade one rested in the back, its long nails tapping against one of the many graves.
Suguru watched the veil go over themselves as Satoru approached it head on, “Wait are we not going to talk about a plan?” Suguru asked as he carefully walked behind Satoru.
He shrugged his shoulders and Suguru clicked his tongue, “The last time we didn’t do that, I made a visit to Shoko.”
Satoru paused then turned around, “Okay fine, you attack from the back, and I’ll get the front, if it makes a run for it, I’ll use Blue.”
“Fine by me.” Suguru sighed and jogged the opposite way of Satoru, drawing one of his smaller weapons and curses and standby.
-
In the end, it did make a run for it, and Satoru apparently has shit aim when he doesn’t get his full ten hours of sleep, because blue grazed past his leg and made a mangled up piece of shit of the limb.
Suguru fell to the ground as the curse was exercised with another wave of blue. Satoru ran over and immediately teleported them back to the school.
“Fuck me,” Satoru cursed under his breath as he looked down but held his breath.
“Not now, Satoru,” Suguru laughed to himself as he set him down on another stiff bed and flipped open his phone to dial Shoko.
“Shoko, you need to come back now,” Satoru stressed, his hand carefully running up and down Suguru’s arm.
“No, we’re not okay, I fucked up,” then Satoru flipped his phone back down and turned back to Suguru who moved his head uncomfortably.
“Want to take out my bun?” He asked and Satoru carefully undid the elastic and slipped the holder onto his wrist for safe keeping.
Satoru sighed and pushed his head down into his hands then flipped open his phone as a chim filled the hallow room. He looked back at Satoru and bent down to leave a long kiss on his forehead, “I’ll be right back,” he warned before he teleported away.
He was only gone for a few minutes, maybe just three, before he showed up again, this time with Shoko and Utahime holding his wrists.
Shoko dropped her bags off to the side and ran to grab a white lab coat that was hanging carefully on a hook, “I have no clue how you’re still awake right now,” she looked down, “but that’s not anything I can’t do.”
Then Satoru and Utahime were gone as Shoko carefully did her “magic.”
-
He woke up in his room, already snug around Satoru who squeezed him like a lifeline. He patted his head and Satoru shot up.
“You’re awake.”
“I am.”
Satoru squeezed him tighter if that was even possible then kissed the crown of his head.
Suguru paused and took Satoru’s face into his hands and kept him close. His nose pushed against Satoru’s as he frowned, “I’m so sorry, Suguru.”
“Then kiss me.”
So he did.
It wasn’t like it was a secret that they loved each other. Hell everyone else knew before they did. But they didn't bring it up, Satoru just contented to sleep in his bed every night like nothing had changed (it hadn’t).
It wasn’t like they didn’t give each other encouraging (forehead) kisses when they noticed the other was down. This wasn’t new.
But it was at the same time.
Satoru was gentle and sweet, careful to make sure he didn’t knock his teeth against Suguru’s as he gently pushed him back down on his pillow.
He was slow and waited for Suguru to give him an okay before he deepened the kiss with a small laugh, his hands coming under Satou’s shirt to hold onto his skin.
And he was okay with Suguru breaking away first, catching his breath as he ran his hands up and down his body with a smile.
“Are you okay?” Satoru asked carefully.
Suguru looked down at his leg and nodded his head, “I’m good, just a pinch here and there,” he sighed, “How bad was it?”
Satoru frowned and gently petted Suguru’s hair, “It didn’t look too bad, but I know that it messed you up on the inside.”
He hummed, “Next time you don’t feel one hundred percent, we’re not going.”
three
Missions never stopped for them. They would rest, wake up, fight another curse, and repeat. And Suguru was tired of it. He had a boyfriend and he was always by his side, but in the end, he never got to spend time with him.
“Suguru,” Satoru pulled him out of his thoughts. It was the morning and they were having their breakfast with Suguru’s coffee and Satoru’s lemon tea. “What’s on your mind?”
“You,” Suguru sighed into his mug and Satoru laughed. Suguru took a long sip of his coffee then looked at Satoru again, “I’m being serious, we need to just hang out again.”
Satoru hummed, “I guess we do,” he set his empty mug down on the coffee table, “how about after this mission we can have a movie night with Shoko.”
Suguru smiled, it had been awhile since it had been just the three of them, “Yeah, let’s do that.”
-
Satoru took the lead first to scour out the special grade in the small town. The report said that children started feeling unsafe at night, and after further investigation, the curse was feeding off of all their fears.
“What about that small cabin?” Suguru asked and pointed to a cabin in the distance, it was more run down than the other houses of the village.
“Oh yeah,” Satoru huffed, “that’s a pretty one all right.”
Suguru rolled his eyes and started to venture out across the field on his small stingray curse with Satoru holding his waist, smiling as the wind whipped by.
Suguru pulled a veil up around the small space and allowed Satoru to yank open the large doors.
And there stood the special grade. It was ugly all right, three eyes twitching as Satoru smiled up at the large curse, but It stood no taller than six feet (making Satoru taller).
“I think I have just the thing for you!” Satoru smiled and clapped his hands together, “And he’s called Geto Suguru!”
Suguru laughed as he introduced him with a small jazz hand, “Thanks Satoru, just make sure that you stay nearby, I don’t want this curse to whip my ass when you’re not looking.”
Then the curse ran toward Suguru, its large hands out in front of it trying to reach him with a laugh.
So Suguru called for Rainbow Dragon who swooped in front of him, protecting him from the blow.
She bellowed lowly as it struck right in its stomach. Suguru cursed and pulled her away from the fight.
Alright–next plan.
-
And that’s how Suguru ended up on the ground bombarded by small Grade three’s and Satoru taking over the Special grade.
Turns out that the Special grade can summon some grade three’s (not like it’s a big deal) that it sent at Suguru. And Satoru of course had to jump in and take over.
“Are you good over there?!” Satoru called from the field outside the cabin, the special grade stunned from Red.
“They try to take your fucking flesh off!” Suguru growled and threw one against the wall. It squealed then disappeared with a pop of blood.
One nibbled generously at his side and Suguru grabbed it by its long snout. That was going to leave a mark.
Soon they were gone and held in Suguru’s technique. He held his side cautiously as he felt the blood starting to seep through.
“Its ready for you if you want it,” Satoru called to Suguru as he walked out from the cabin.
Suguru nodded and carefully put the other ball into his large earthworm that took it with a chuff.
“I hate to ruin the mood,” Suguru sighed as he took the other curse into his hand, “But I need to see Shoko before the movie tonight.”
“What?” Satou asked and carefully held his shoulders as Suguru gave the large earthworm the other curse.
“The Grade three’s took a bit too much out of my side then I hoped for,” Suguru sighed and lifted up his shirt to look at the flesh that was taken away.
“Fuck, why isn’t my infinity working?” Satoru cursed and pushed his shirt back down before taking him under his arm again.
The world flickered around them as they arrived back at the school, Shoko sighing from her book.
“What the hell happened now?” She asked, his hand pushing through her short brown hair.
Satoru sighed and carefully placed Suguru on the small bed again, his back straight as Satoru carefully placed his hand on his back, “Just some grade three’s, he said that they go for your flesh.”
“And what happened to him being in your infinity?” Shoko pushed up Suguru’s shirt and clicked her tongue.
Satoru crossed his hands across his chest and squeezed his arms, “I don’t know, It works perfectly until he goes to fight something.”
“I’m going to pull off your shirt, okay Suguru?” Shoko asked and Suguru lifted his arms up as far as they went.
“It hurts to lift them far up,” Suguru gasped as Shoko pushed his arms up more.
“Okay,” she sighed, then grabbed her scissors, “I hope you don’t love this undershirt then,” she warned before she started to cut against the shirt.
She looked at Satoru and he dipped his head as he left out the doors, a pout on his lips.
-
Suguru sat on the small couch they had in their common room, waiting for Shoko to finish popping the popcorn and for Satoru to grab the blankets and pillows from his room.
“Have we even decided what we’re watching?” Shoko asked and handed Suguru the bowl full of popcorn.
He shrugged, “I just wanted to get away from Jujitsu life, and I think you need to too.”
Satoru threw the blankets over Suguru and grinned, “Yeah, it’s always just Suguru and I, we missed you!”
“Well with how much your getting Geto hurt, you see me plenty,” Shoko laughed but took a blanket Satoru offered her.
“Me?” Satoru asked once he flopped down on the couch (Suguru’s left), his arm wrapping around the top of the couch.
Shoko grabbed popcorn from the bucket Suguru held, “Yeah, you were the one who said that you had infinity on Suguru, yet he always sees me the most.”
Satoru huffed and placed his hand on Suguru’s shoulder with a pout, “I don’t know what’s going on with that, okay?”
She just shrugged and reached for another piece of popcorn but was pushed back by infinity, “What the fuck Satoru,” she frowned at Satoru shrugged his shoulders.
“What?” he asked and popped a piece in his mouth.
Suguru sighed but pulled Satoru down so his head rested gently on his shoulder, “No more fighting, Satoru you choose the movie if you’re going to be a dick.”
“I’m not a dick,” Satoru pouted but picked up the remote anyways (whatever Suguru says).
plus one
Suguru sat under the shade provided by a large tree that covered a large patch of grass. Though it was the start of the winter, it was comfortable outside. His book lay abandoned by his side, his eyes drifting closed.
“Suguru!” Satoru called before he flopped down on Suguru’s legs, his hair falling across his thick pants, “I’m cold, how can you just sit out here?”
He opened his eyes and pushed his hand through his hair, “It’s not even that cold, Satoru,” he sighed and messed with his white hair.
“We have a mission at ten tonight,” Satoru sighed and turned his body to the side so he faced Suguru's stomach.
He hummed, “Overnight?”
“If you want it to be,” Satoru smiled and wiggled his eyebrows.
Suguru pushed his bangs up, “It’ll be overnight.”
“Okay boss,” then Satoru sat up and placed his head on his shoulder. They stayed quiet until Satoru shifted again, an uncomfortable groan pushing past his lips.
Suguru looked his way, “What’s bothering you?”
“They’ve started to become more sensitive lately,” Satoru sighed, “My eyes.”
“Have you ever thought about a blindfold?” Suguru asked, his arm secured around his waist.
Satoru chuckled, “Only if you buy it for me.”
Suguru clicked his tongue then bumped their shoulders together, “Just think about it.”
-
It was dark and Suguru was tired. He just threw a few pieces of clothes into his overnight bag, along with his shampoo and phone charger.
They checked into their hotel first, then they went straight to where the report of the curse was.
“Grade one,” Satoru yawned, “take a left and there’s a gym, that’s where it’s at.”
Suguru took his hand while his eyes were focused on the curse, their fingers threading easily.
“Ugh,” Satoru groaned, “and some grade two’s just sitting around,” he blinked and met Suguru’s eyes, “I’ll take the big one?”
Suguru pushed up his eyebrow, his hand on the cool metal of the old gym doors, “Last time that was a plan, Shoko had to heal the chunk missing from my side.”
“You’ll take the big one,” Satoru winced and bit the inside of his cheek.
Suguru pushed open the doors and quickly took out his katana from the handy storage curse that he had taken from Toji. He didn’t like to think about that too often.
The grade one snarled and rose from where it rested on the top of the old wooden bleachers. Its long tail swished and bared its teeth and jumped down to stand right in front of Suguru.
-
Satoru huffed and pushed back his bangs that tickled his forehand, “Alright guys, let’s make this quick.”
The grade twos chirruped and flapped their wings. They were larger than the grade one, but threw their attacks sloppily.
They were easy to take out, with only a flash of Red followed by Blue. He looked back at Suguru who swiped the curse with his katana.
He carefully closed his eyes and searched throughout the school. His six eyes dug out the crevasses of the dark school where a special grade waited impatiently in another classroom.
He blinked and shook his head. Suguru surely wouldn't mind if he ran off by himself (they’re the strongest anyways).
So Satoru watched Suguru kill the grade one with his swordsmanship for only a minute before he ran down the hallway and deeper into the school.
“Damn,” he huffed after he almost sunk into the basement as his foot crashed through the rotten wood floors.
Satoru opened the small door and let himself in the classroom. He sighed and met eye contact with the special grade that breathed deeply on his face.
“Well hello beautiful, how about we walk you to my boyfriend! I think he would love to have you,” Satoru smiled and pushed his palm on the backside of its neck and out the door.
It chased him through the halls and back into the gym where Suguru carefully tossed the curse into one of his storage curses, “Satoru,” he sighed, “there you are.”
“And I have a gift for you,” Satoru smiled as the curse burst through the old doors with a crash.
Suguru sighed, “A wonderful thought, but can you take this one, I’ll absorb it afterwards.”
Satoru shrugged then thrust his leg up to kick it right in its eye. Its back hit the wall and huffed, its strong tail whipping back and forth.
He threw blue at the small dragon and it hissed in his direction again. It held up his claw and flung it up in the air.
Satoru pushed his arms above his head. The claws effortlessly cut through his skin, gently slicing to the bone.
“Fucking hell,” Satoru gasped as he fell back, already ripping his coat off to wrap it around one of his arms.
Suguru shot up, “What the fuck happened?” He tore his own coat off and tied it around his other arm.
“You know the other missions when you get hurt?” Satoru sighed, his eyes darting to the curse and Suguru, “I transferred most of my infinity to you while I ran away,” he looked back at the curse, angrily huffing in the corner, “just kill it.”
Suguru carefully nodded and summoned his small stingray curse to carefully keep him upright as he exorcized the curse quickly with his double katana’s.
-
“Maybe I shouldn’t have done that,” Satoru gasped as Suguru carefully transported them back to the hotel.
Suguru shook his head as he carefully unlocked their door, “Maybe not,” he opened the door and the curse floated in, “do you want to gather our things then call somebody, or are you losing too much blood.”
Satoru reached for his arms and winced, “I think I can take us back to the school, just pack for me.”
So he did as he said, carefully packing their belongings in their suitcases as Satoru still carefully rested on his stingray, arms closed over his stomach.
-
They arrived back at the school at around 3 am (give or take, Suguru didn’t care much about the time), to wake up Shoko who swatted at Suguru with a groan.
“What the hell do you want, I thought you and Satoru had an overnight?” She yawned and pulled up her sleep mask with a frown.
Suguru sighed and turned on the small lamp next to her bed, “Satoru fucked up and needs help, the curse got him pretty good, straight to the bone.”
She shot up and put on her slippers, “What the fuck happened to infinity?” She cursed as they made their way to the infirmary.
“He ran off without me, so he thought it was a good idea to send it all over to me because I’m the one who gets hurt,” Suguru shook his head, “I don’t know what he was thinking.”
Shoko pushed open the metal doors, “He was thinking, “I love you,”” she frowned and pulled a white coat over her shoulders followed by her gloves and mask.
“Alright, I’m going to take this off, and it’s going to hurt like shit,” Shoko warned before she gently untied the coats and placed the fabric on the bed next to him.
The wounds were wide and uncomfortable from the way Satoru was squirming. She took a small look at his frown then frowned at Suguru, “Get out of here, loverboy.”
Suguru nodded and took his leave as Shoko worked her magic, carefully repairing Satoru’s damaged muscle.
-
Suguru pushed his hand through Satoru’s smooth hair and sighed, his back uncomfortably curved as he laid his head on Satoru’s stomach.
He stirred and pulled his arm up to push the hair out of his eyes then placed it back down on the bed, “Bad idea,” Satoru sighed and pulled his eyes open all the way, “Suguru,” he smiled.
“How are you feeling, Satoru?” Suguru asked, his hand still carefully brushing through his hair.
Satoru hummed, “Better now that I know you’re here,” he smiled, “but still like shit, how do you deal with this?”
“It’s different when you deal with pain your whole life,” Suguru laughed, “that’s why I wasn’t worried about infinity, I can take some cuts and bruises.”
“But I can’t take it,” Satoru pouted, “It hurts to see you hurt.”
Suguru paused, but continued to run his fingers through his hair, “Well, now I know how you feel.”
“Not good, right?” Satoru asked as he carefully sat up.
“Nope, not good,” he shook his head and sat up with Satoru, “but I would feel better if we could go back to the room?”
Satoru nodded his head, “Please.”
So he carefully led Satoru to their room and laid him down on their bed with a smile as Satoru latched around him gently.
“Promise that after this, we’ll get a house together?” Satoru asked, his nose carefully placed on Suguru’s.
Suguru chuckled and planted a small kiss on his lips, “I want a king size mattress.”
“Anything you want,” Satoru sighed and pulled him back for more, mindful of his still sore arms that rested by Suguru’s hips.
“Anything?” Suguru pushed and Satoru laughed as he let out a slow nod, “then I think we should put in–”
“Suguru?” Satoru asked and Suguru carefully directed his attention toward him, “after I killed Toji, he told me he had a son.”
Suguru waited.
“And while you were busy one day I went to go check on him and his sister so I’ve been sending them money because I know we can’t take them in right now,” he sighed and looked at Suguru, “What I’m trying to say is, can we take them in?”
“What are their names?”
“Megumi and Tsumiki Fushiguro.”
“I think we need an upstairs.”
