Kazuma Kiryu strolled through the botanical gardens, relishing the rare moments of peace. The sun filtered through the canopy of leaves, casting dappled shadows on the path. Flowers in full bloom painted the landscape in a riot of colors, and the air was filled with their sweet fragrance.
Kiryu took a deep breath, enjoying the tranquility. It was a welcome change from the usual chaos of Kamurocho. As he walked, he admired the variety of flora—roses, lilies, orchids—all meticulously cared for. He paused by a pond, watching koi fish swim lazily beneath the water's surface.
Continuing his leisurely walk, Kiryu found himself in a clearing at the center of the gardens. There, amidst a backdrop of blooming cherry blossoms, a wedding was taking place. Guests were seated on white chairs, the bride and groom standing before a minister who, oddly, wore flashy sunglasses.
Kiryu raised an eyebrow, recognizing the garish style. His heart sank. "Oh god, not again."
Sure enough, as Kiryu stepped closer, the minister turned, and their eyes met. It was none other than Daisaku Kuze, former lieutenant of the Dojima Family. Kuze's face twisted with a mixture of surprise and rage.
"KIRYU!" Kuze bellowed, abandoning the ceremony. The bride and groom looked bewildered as their minister stormed down the aisle, his sunglasses glinting in the sunlight.
Kiryu sighed. "Kuze, what are you doing here? You're supposed to be marrying those two."
Kuze ignored him, jabbing a finger in Kiryu's direction. "Don't play dumb with me! I know you're still messing with the Empty Lot! You think you can just walk around, smelling flowers while I'm stuck dealing with this shit?"
The wedding guests gasped, and the bride looked mortified. "Excuse me, minister, but—"
"Quiet! I'm dealing with something important!" Kuze snapped, before turning back to Kiryu. "You and that damned lot! Always causing trouble. Do you have any idea how much stress you've caused me?"
Kiryu rubbed his temples. "Kuze, this isn't the time or place. You're ruining these people's wedding."
Kuze crossed his arms, sunglasses slipping down his nose. "I'll ruin more than that if you don't come clean. What's your plan, huh? What are you doing here?"
"I came for a walk," Kiryu replied, exasperated. "To relax. Believe it or not, I don't spend every waking moment plotting against you."
The groom stepped forward, trying to regain some control. "Minister, please, this is our special day—"
"Back off, kid!" Kuze barked, then turned to Kiryu again. "You think you can just waltz into these gardens, act all innocent, while I'm trying to marry these people?"
Kiryu sighed deeply. "Kuze, you're a terrible minister."
Kuze's face turned red. "That's it! I don't care if it's your day off. We're settling this right now!"
As Kuze lunged at Kiryu, the guests scattered, some pulling out their phones to record the spectacle. Kiryu sidestepped the attack, grabbing Kuze by the collar and dragging him away from the bewildered bride and groom.
"Listen, Kuze," Kiryu said, keeping his voice low. "I'll meet you later to talk about the lot. But right now, you're going to finish this wedding. These people deserve a happy day, not your nonsense."
Kuze struggled for a moment, then reluctantly nodded. "Fine. But don't think this is over, Kiryu."
Kiryu released him, watching as Kuze adjusted his sunglasses and marched back to the altar. The guests hesitantly returned to their seats, and the ceremony continued, albeit with a much more subdued minister.
As Kiryu walked away, he couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of it all. Even in the most peaceful places, chaos seemed to follow him. But at least, for now, the gardens had returned to their serene state, and a couple's special day was saved—if not made even more memorable.
