Summary
Hermione lost both her parents unexpectedly in a plane crash. Facts come to light after she took a heritage test. She was not a muggle-born, but part of the Sacred Twenty-Eight. Harry is in love with Hermione but doesn't realise it. He thinks of her as his best friend. When Malfoy tries to get a betrothal contract with Hermione, James steps in knowing the Wizarding Laws by claiming that he, Hermione, and Harry already have an agreement. Hermione's grandmother is not pleased and tries to circumvent the agreement with nefarious means.
