Gabriel has made his suicide wish for bring back Nathalie to life and join Emilie in afterlife. Marinette is mourned about his ex-enemy's disappearance. He had just requested her to tell to Adrien, his son, he had made efforts to be a good father for the boy. He was Monarch and he has ceased to exist from the universe. All she can see in front of her are the Twin Rings, Gabriel's glasses, Configured Miraculouses, and the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses on the ground.
Tikki and Plagg are just turned back into their normal forms (two little "extra-terrestrial" creatures).
Meanwhile, behind Marinette, an unknown teenage girl is watching the pigtail-haired girl. This mysterious girl held in a pocket of her jeans the Butterfly Miraculous (the brooch that Gabriel held when he was Hawkmoth/Shadowmoth/Monarch and Ladybug/Bug Noire had make it fall in the water under the lair at the end of the battle some moments ago). She had taken the brooch during the Wish processus. Nooroo is hidden behind her back because her new "savior" has quietly ordered him.
The first action she makes is...
...She hugs hers.
The unknown girl shares her sadness with a crying Marinette despite the fact she initially came to enact her revenge against both Ladybug and Monarch. Now, for an unknown reason, the intriguing girl is just feeling compassion and respect for Marinette (who is Ladybug during all this time).
The kwamis are confused. Tikki and Plagg were going to alarm Marinette about the anonymous "intruder" behind her back until the guest make a hug to the mourned girl. Nooroo (who still hides behind the back of the enigmatic girl) is even intrigued about his new holder's gesture.
Marinette, who still sad, seems to not realize yet that is happening with this unexpected person who hugs her. Tikki and Plagg hide each other under the gateway.
A dozen seconds passed since the hug thing, Marinette finally turns her look at the girl. She's a bit surprised and stay away from her at three meters.
The girl: "I haven't planned this in my agenda. I just offer my condoleances, Marinette. But now, I guess you must repair it all now."
Marinette: "Planned what ? Huh ! (careful and intrigued) Who are you, girl ? How do you know my name ?"
In same time, the girl's voice seems too familiar for Marinette.
The girl: "It's not my name that matters, but what I would say to Mr. Agreste."
Marinette (suspicious): "What kind of thing do you have with Mr. Agreste ?"
The girl: "Just an acquaintance. An acquaintance Gab... Monarch rejected me."
Marinette remains wary to this mysterious person.
The girl: "Judging by what I just saw, Sir Gabi has used your Ladybug earrings and the Cat Noir's ring for summon this... divinity: Gimmi. He made his wish and he exchanged something. It seems he exchanged himself ans his wife for another something that I don't have any idea."
Marinette (a bit of flabbergasted): "You have seen it all !? What are you plotting, now ?"
The girl: "Nothing. I have already accomplished my task now. But don't worry, your identity is safe with me."
Marinette: "A task ?"
The girl: "That's none of your business. I just only say Mr Agreste was my inspiration. But now he's gone forever. I express my forgiveness to him."
The anonymous girl sees at the direction of the Emilie's (now empty) coffin, points the finger at the glue (created Lucky Charm) for indicate the bluenette.
The girl: "The most important now is there is still a chaos at outdoor. And you have a duty to accomplish as Ladybug. We will see each other again in a future, Marinette Dupain-Cheng."
The strange girl leaves the place by moving to the climbing rope she has previously but discretly settled since the collapsed first floor of the mansion. In same time, the bluenette is confused about she did with this estrangered person and thinks about the wish moment, the chaos Gabriel has caused as Monarch ans finally the latter's request to tell to Adrien. She remembers the Lucky Charm is still there.
Tikki and Plagg reappear toward her.
Marinette: Tikki ! Plagg ! Are you both okay ?
Tikki: It's terrifying about be forced to merge into Gimmi. But it seems the universe is still the same after Gabriel has made his wish. I'm glad you're still existing, Marinette.
Plagg: I hope the cheeses have still the same taste.
Marinette (saddened): Me too but Mr Agreste isn't here anymore. Nor his wife. They has disappeared.
Tikki: "When Plagg and I were Gimmi, we read his soul. he had good intentions. He was different than when he was Hawkmoth and/or Monarch. He made his wish for atone his faults. So the balance of the Reality remains ensured."
Marinette: "What have Mr Agreste exchanged if the sacrifice was himself ?"
Tikki: "Who have Gabriel has brought back ?"
Marinette: "I want to verify. Tikki, Plagg, unify !"
Marinette transforms into Bug Noire and picks up the glue separate it from the boomerang.
Bug Noire: Miraculous Bug Noire !

All the damages caused by the Operation Perfect Alliance are reverted. All the Miraculized are dismiraculized. Later, the entire world was going to praise Ladybug for stopping the chaos.
Meanwhile, at the mansion, Bug Noire picks up the configured Miraculouses and the weddings rings Gabriel has thrown on the ground before his auto-erasure. She packs the ring-forged Miraculous in her yo-yo. She is suddenly joined by Nathalie.
Bug Noire is amazed. The Gabi's assistant is here in front or her. The woman is standing up without the walking assist device.
Bug Noire: Mrs. Sancoeur. What a prodige ? You're fully healed.
Nathalie: I just make sure if I'm not dreaming or If I am dead. Are we all dead ?
Bug Noire: I just fixed the indicent with
Nathalie: I saw it. When I woke up, my mind was confused. I remember I saw a bright light emerging from everywhere and after I was still in my room. It seems my Miraculous illness wasn't in me and next I watched your magic ladybugs that repairing the landscape.
Bug Noire: Is that Mr. Agreste has exchanged with his life ?
Nathalie: Mister has made WHAT ?! What happened ?
And Bug Noire explains what has happened during the Nathalie's comatose (the battle and the wish and the Gabriel's final request about his son).
Bug Noire (mourned): "Mr Agreste has disappeared from our reality. Her wife too. I'm sorry. He wasn't among us anymore."
Nathalie falls on knees and tears down. Bug Noire hugs her for recomforting her.

After the mourning, the two people discuss about how to explain to Adrien what happened but without reveal to him his father.
But before seeing Adrien to London, Bug Noire frees all the kwamis from their Tsurugi's flying cages under Nathalie's advices.
And now, there is one missing Miraculous: The Butterfly brooch. Bug Noire remembers she has removed the brooch from Gabriel and it has later fallen in the water under the basement. She turns into Aquabug for search but the brooch wasn't here anymore.
She thinks about the mysterious girl with who she previously talked. Her thoughts are: She knows I am Ladybug but I don't who is she. Can be it possible she retrieved the Butterfly miraculous while I battled against Monarch ?
She remembers her stranger's phrase: "We will see each other again in a future, Marinette Dupain-Cheng."
And Bug Noire thinks: What shenanigan(s) has she got now ? After all, she will be back.
She will investigate later. She musts see Adrien before cleaning the things once and all.

Bug Noire (with Space powers) arrives to London and finds Adrien in his white room. The latter boy has just waken up from this sleep. And he hasn't his nightmare dust from the Nightormentor incident anymore (Thanks to the Miraculous Ladybug, he is fully healed). Bug Noire feels relieved her boyfriend is fine she is nervous about telling the Gabriel's disappearance.
Adrien: "Ladybug. Are you okay ?"
Bug Noire (nervous and trying to calm herself down): "Huh... Yeah. It's over. Adrien. Monarch... Monarch is gone once and all."
Adrien: Oh really ? Huh... Without Cat Noir ?
Bug Boire: "Cat Noir has let me his ring and Plagg offered it to me for the support."
Adrien (admirative): "Nice. And the miraculouses, Where are they ?"
Bug Noire: "They are all safe in my yo-yo. The struggle is over."
Adrien (expressing enthutiastic): "Congratulations. Let's celebrate that together. All my friends can make a party together. I hope Father could agree with that and because he has supported the Resistance."
When Adrien says "Father", Bug Noire becomes silent and sad. Adrien looks at her.
Adrien (worried): "Ladybug. What's wrong ?"
And Bug Noire remembers the Gabriel's last request: "Make sure that Adrien never knows about the villain that I was, but instead, that he remembers the times I tried to be a good father."
So she breathes and she takes the speech.
Bug Noire (resigned and guilty): "Gabriel has directly helped for defeating Monarch. She saved me during the battle. I think you must be proud of him."
Adrien is mixed between confusion and admiration.
Adrien: "Oh really ? I can praise him for that but I just want to say me and my father aren't really in good terms these last times. I don't know how to faces him again."
Bug Noire (with a cry start): "Your father is dead."
The ambiance turns into cold. Adrien feels frozen by his former love interest's words.
Adrien: "Huh ?! What do you mean ?"
Bug Noire (tearing down): "He has been a hero. He's the one who saved the day. He did it at the cost of his life. Even the Lucky Charm didn't brought him back."
Adrien hugs Bug Noire. He cries too. They recomfort each other. At this moment, Bug Noire sincerely kisses Adrien on lips. The saddened boy blushes and interupts the kiss.
Adrien: "Forgive me Ladybug. I should have told you I have already a girlfriend."
Bug Noire: "Impos... Huh... Who is she ?"
Adrien: "Marinette Dupain-Cheng. I suppose you heard about her. She's a nice girl at her school. A lot of friends. For me, she's the perfect girl I enjoyed to meet. My real love. That's ironic, before Marinette, you were the one I previously fell in love with."
Bug Noire: "Oh... Thank you much. I'm... honored."
Adrien: "Sure, there was Kagami but we are already in good terms after that. You and I can be in good terms. But today, I love Marinette."
A wondered Bug Noire blushes about what Adrien is saying.
Bug Noire: "Oh... Thank you much. I'm... honored."
But now, let's back about the defunct Gabriel.
Adrien: "But father had made objections about my relationship with her in previous days. I still don't know if he changed his mind during his last time."
She pulls out the Graham de Vanily's alliance rings from her yo-yo. She presents thar to the boy.
Adrien: "But these are my father's rings !"
Bug Noire: "Your father told me to confess to you he tried to be a good father toward you. He was sincere. He admitted to have made a lot of mistakes about his duty as your dad since your mom's disappearance. He has been honest. He wanted you to be happy. And now I'm sure he has accepted the fact you can be yourself."
Bug Noire offers the alliance rings to a now fascinated and reassured Adrien.
Adrien: "Thank you, Ladybug."
They hug together one last time.

A lot of days later, Marinette, Adrien, Kagami, Felix, Alya, Nathalie, Amélie, Su-Han, Luka and the rest of the Miraclass are in Agreste mansion garden (where there is already a pool and flowers). They have a party together.
Later, Marinette and Adrien have a discussion about Gabriel's legacy. Adrien hesitating to wear the rings.
Marinette: "You're not wearing it?"
Adrien: "When Ladybug gave it to me, she told me how my father helped her to defeat Monarch, at the cost of his life. I don't know if I'll ever manage to be like him."
Marinette: "You don't need to be like him. Just be yourself."
The bluenette wears the twin rings on his left ring finger. Adrien blushes.
Marinette: "Adrien, you're the only one who can decide what you make of your life."
Adrien: "You always find the right words, Marinette. When I'm with you, I feel so... free !"
Adrien and Marinette (in unison): "I love you!"
They happily kiss together.

Another ellipse again.
At Marinette's house, at her room, the bakery girl has finished to forge the Miraculouses back to their initial forms.
Su-Han: "Still no trace of the Miraculous of the Butterfly?"
Marinette: "After the wish, all I could find was the double wedding ring, along with the Miraculous that Monarch had turned into rings and Cat Noir's and mine. I transformed into Aquabug and searched the basement but nothing. Even after repairing everything, it's as if the brooch had... disappeared! But whatever happens, we'll be ready."
Alya: "About "whatever happens", you must refer to this mysterious girl nothing had heard about."
Marinette: "That's right, Alya. I suspect her to getting Nooroo and his brooch. Meanwhile, she told me we will meet again. And more she knows I am Ladybug. I have no idea of trusting this girl. She seemed familiar to me."
Alya: "If she wanted to be your enemy as a villain, you no longer wanted to be Ladybug since a long time. Or she should have revealed your real identity. It seems we must wait the actual Butterfly holder makes her appearance to everyone. So We can get her."
Marinette: "We'll find out that, Alya. Together."

At the Plage (Lila Cerise's hideout), Cerise (formely and falsely claimed to be Lila Rossi) has just called Mr Damoclès on phone for submit her registration to the new high school where the old man is the new director. She makes her registration under the name of "Iris Verdi" and an upcoming disguise. Nextly, she looks toward Nooroo who is intrigued but wary.
Nooroo: "What is your goal in here ? "Sociabilize" with other ?"
Cerise:/The girl (acting joyful): "Marinette Dupain-Cheng plans to register in this place for the next school year. I just realize my promise I made to Marinette. Or I must say Ladybug. Now I have all my interest on her."
Nooroo: "Oh ! And what if she discovered the truth about you ?"
Cerise: "I will not commit fake steps unlike to the time I was "Lila Rossi"."
Nooroo: "Do you want to seek problems, Cerise ?"
Cerise: "Before ? Yeah. But I have better plans for her. And you will help me for that."
Nooroo (unsure): "Don't you believe you must confess all what you think of her but with your real name ? Making sure she accepts your real self ?"
Nooroo's words annoy Cerise.
Cerise (pissed off): "I am the one who decides what kind of relation with Marinette I can be. She doesn't know but she's already mine."
Nooroo is worried. But her holder suddenly calms down.
Cerise (confident): "Don't worry, Nooroo. I don't to harm you or fear you. I want just you work with me."
Nooroo (sighing, resigned): "I will. Cerise."
Cerise: "Thank for the assistance, Nooroo."
Cerise looks at the brooch under her vest.
Cerise: "I look forward to seeing you again, Marinette Dupain-Cheng."
