Summary
“I thought I was okay, but I guess I’m not,” Wakatoshi said, just enough for Satori to hear. The latter’s face softened, eyes filled with unrelenting worry and concern for his best friend whom he thinks of as his family—a platonic soulmate that he would risk his life for. “Do you miss him?” He asked straightforwardly which startled the other who looked at him with dull eyes. Wakatoshi thought for a moment and then nodded. “I do,” he answered.
Satori leaned on the counter with his arms crossed and looked at Wakatoshi with a firm gaze. “Then why don’t you go tell him that? Why don’t you do something to take him back? Do you think that moping around like this would bring him back to you? You’re smarter than this, Wakatoshi.” His words were unfiltered and sharp—he learned it was the best way to talk to his friend who almost always fail to communicate in such a straightforward way.
Wakatoshi inhaled sharply and pursed his lips before he spoke. “It’s not that easy, Satori.” Dejection was evident in his words. “Only you can help yourself, Wakatoshi. He’s not going to come back if you don’t do anything—if you don’t give him a reason to come back to you.”
