Summary
When a single night turns Smiling Valley into a dangerous, paranoia-inducing, monster-filled nightmare, stress begins piling on top of DogDay, leader of the Smiling Critters, causing him to buckle under its weight. Life's already hard when the stars themselves seem judge you, after all. But when scavenging leads him to a bunker deep in the woods, he finds more than answers. Hello All! This is my second (technically first) fic ever, and is one that I have already written and am almost finished writing on FanFiction.net. Unfortunately, while there are some things I like about that story, it doesn't hit the mark in terms of pacing, coherency, and decent writing for me, personally. At times while reading, things felt as if they were simultaneously shambling slowly and moving way too fast (Almost the whole thing takes course in the span of less than a day.) I will continue that fic until I reach what I feel is an acceptable endpoint, which is soon, but as for right now, I wanted to rewrite bits, add more flesh, and fix some issues I felt with the pacing. Thus, I present: StarChild, rewritten and remastered. Please enjoy, and feedback is greatly appreciated! :)
