Chapter Text

Somewhere around England, there's a boy who lives in a cupboard under the stairs, who would become the one who saves the world from the Dark Lord. His story would be told around the world. But this story wasn't about that boy. There's a burrow, very far away from him. This is a story about a boy who lived there with his 6 siblings and parents. You might be thinking “Wow, what a big family,” but it's not the one thing you should be aware of. That boy knew that he lived inside a world based on a book he once had read in his past life before his soul somehow got transported to that world.

Ronald Bilius Weasley, or Kim Dokja by his actual name, sighed and wondered how in the world his life became like this. He was just a contract employee at a game company whose contract was almost over. He pondered while sitting in the kitchen with his family. On his hand was a book about wizard’s chess. Oh, he hasn't told you that his entire family was a wizard? Well, now you know. He heard footsteps from the stairs coming downward, and based on how loud the sound was he could tell who it was, or who they were.

“Good morning! How's your feeling, Ron?”

“Are you nervous about attending Hogwarts soon?”

These two identical people were his older twin brothers, Fred and George. Kim Dokja has never had a sibling in his past life, he was an only child, so it still felt overwhelming, especially when he had 6 siblings, not counting that his parents were present. In his past life, he didn't have the luxury of having someone who he could call parents, not after that accident in his childhood.

Hogwarts was one of the wizardry schools where you learned how to use and control your magic. All his brothers were or had attended there, even his parents. His family was one of the sacred wizard families in British history, though that didn't mean that he was a royal or something, to be frank, they were the opposite of that. He could describe his family as not bad enough to struggle with daily life expenses but definitely not wealthy enough, which made other sacred families look down on them, some said that they were poor, not that he cared much about it. He didn't mind using second-hand items from his older brothers. In fact, he loved Percy's used book, it had his personal notes that could help his study.

“I’d be lying if I said that I’m not nervous about it,” answered Kim Dokja. His brother, Fred (or George? He still couldn't distinguish them very well, mind you, he just got transported into this world one week ago).

He was uncertain whether to act like how Ronald Weasley was supposed to or just act like himself. He was still a boy so it was still normal for him to change his personality, right? It's not like his personality that matters, he wasn't the book’s main protagonist after all. His plan was just to make sure the dark lord would not be awakened again so he and his family could have a peaceful life. He also would make sure the main protagonist, Harry Potter, still follows the original plot to defeat the Dark Lord. The first book required Kim Dokja’s chess skills, so he needed to learn them, but… He was still bad at playing them, it seems Ronald Weasley's talent had not passed down to him. He had the common knowledge of chess, it was still on his brain thankfully, but when it came to playing it…

“I would say he was more stressed on his loss streak at chess this week," Ginny snickered across from him, staring at his hand, which was holding a book about that specific topic. Ginny was the youngest in this family yet the most chatty one.

“Shush it, Ginny,” He answered sheepishly. It felt weird to express himself this openly, but that's how a child normally acts, Dokja tried to argue with himself.

“Ronald Weasley. Close that book and eat your food, for Merlin's sake,” scolded Molly, his mother.

“Ginny is right though, are you sure you're not sick, Ron?” his father, Arthur, asked him worriedly.

Hearing his parents' words, Kim Dokja finally closed his book and had his breakfast. “I’m fine, Dad,” he replied to his father.

“Don't talk while your mouth is full—”

His other brother’s sentence, Percy, was cut off by the sound of their owl, who was on his way to their house. In this world, wizards also could have a pet like muggles (people who aren't a wizards/witches). The owl is a common pet and is generally used to deliver newspapers or letters. Kim Dokja also wanted to have an owl as a pet, just like the protagonist. But according to the story, he had a rat instead. Said rat was actually an animagus of a criminal who conspired on the murder case of the main protagonist's parents. This was also one of his concerns. Knowing that his pet was a grown-ass man, especially a criminal, disgusted him. Should he kill his rat before he went to Hogwarts? But it would change the plot of the third book entirely. Harry must learn how to use Patronus Charm and meet his godfather. He planned to cast a spell on that rat so he couldn't escape to the Dark Lord and clear Harry’ godfather name, Sirius. Dokja would make sure he used a tracking or even a binding spell on that rat.

His family of course noticed his abrupt change last week. It was more likely because he had asked weird questions like who he was, forgot a lot of things, his awkwardness with his family, and other stuff that maybe he didn't notice. That's how a normal family works, he guessed. They cared for each other so that they could tell immediately if something went wrong.

It felt so foreign to him.

On his very first day, Percy even cast a medical checkup spell on him, worrying something went wrong with his head. It seemed that the twins cast a spell as a prank on Ron and somehow it happened at the same time as Dokja soul's got transported into Ron's body. He wondered if Ron’s was on Kim Dokja's body right now.

After checking on Kim Dokja, Percy scolded the twins because he thought they were the source of the problem. The day after that, Kim Dokja asked the twins to cast yesterday's spell on him again; it might transfer his soul back. But no such luck, he was still stuck in Ronald Weasley’s body.

Kim Dokja might be too focused on reading web novels, especially TWSA on his past life, but thankfully he still remembered the main plot of the Harry Potter Series. He wanted to make it slightly better to him. His effort so far was talking to Percy about Ron's personal problem, prompting Percy to also talk about his own problem. He was also kind to his family and proud of his siblings instead of envying them. He trained on wizard’s chess (and had many losses in the process). He sometimes missed his phone, but the history of the wizardry itself had a lot of interesting stories that he could read. Lots of them were not discussed in deep in the original books. In just one week in he could already say that his current life was much better than his past life. He had something to protect, his family.

After they finished their breakfast Molly congratulated Percy for being a prefect this year, followed by Arthur and his other siblings, Kim Dokja included. Seeing how caring and disciplined Percy was, he believed Percy would be a good prefect. Well, he already knew that fact based on the book anyway. He loved Percy a lot. He loved everyone in his family, okay? No argument is needed. Having a family was a blessing. He kind of felt bad for Harry, the protagonist. Is there a way to save Harry from his awful relatives?

“He will attend Hogwarts this year, right?” asked Ginny enthusiastically. The person she referred to was of course the same boy that Dokja's had just thought about.

“Right, Harry Potter should be attending Hogwarts like Ron this year. Ron, make sure to be kind to him, okay?” said Molly cheerfully. Kim Dokja remembered that in the books Molly was so kind to Harry.

“I wonder which house would Harry go to,” said Fred, to which George replied, “Wanna make a bet?”

“I bet all of my money that he would be a Gryffindor,” Kim Dokja intervened them.

“Ron!” Kim Dokja ignored his mother for once. He knew that Harry Potter would go to Gryffindor after all. The twins smirked at him and also made a bet. Ginny seems tempted to join the bet but chooses not to since she doesn't want to anger her mother further.

Next month, Kim Dokja would go to Hogwarts. There, he would meet other characters like Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Albus Dumbledore, Hagrid, Severus Snape, and of course, the antagonist which was his Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Quirrell.

“You know, I thought you were more mature these days, Ron,” joked Arthur.

“Yeah he was less annoying, with the cost of his self-claimed status as a chess prodigy, I said it was worth it,” Ginny loved to poke on that topic huh?

“...You still lose from me, though.”

“One day I will crush you, just wait for it.”

Kim Dokja smiled and patted Ginny’s head, he never had a family banter before. “Yeah? I'll wait for that time which is wont be happening any sooner.”

Without Kim Dokja knowing it, his action shocked his family. Where did their prideful Ron go? Maybe Ron indeed had matured , this was what all of them were thinking.

“Well, it’s time for me to work, see you later at dinner, make sure to do your summer homework,” Arthur stared at the twins specifically then proceeded to apparate to the Ministry, where he was placed at the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office.

After placing his plate in a self-cleaning sink, Kim Dokja went to his room to pick another book, since he had enough of learning chess today, continued his reading about the history of Goblin. He was still a boy, after all. He wanted to enjoy his free time before going to Hogwarts.

Will he be sorted at Gryffindor, just like the original? He should be, right? His presence is still important after all.

He wanted to change some things like Peter escaping in the third book, the death of Sirius Black in the fifth book, and more importantly, Fred’s death.

Should he prevent Dumbledore's death, though? Is it that worth that he changed the plot entirely? He knew that it was an important event. It was not like Cedric's death that he also planned to prevent. What about the rat problem that he mentioned before, should he kill it?

Kim Dokja glanced towards his rat, Scabber. What a traitor. The only reason he didn't kill that rat on the very first day was because that thing was evidence of Sirius’s innocence. It would make him uncomfortable but he must endure it for two years.

Days flew by and it was finally the day Kim Dokja went to Hogwarts. He felt nervous. He tried to convince himself that everything would be ok. All of his family went to the station together and they one by one went past the barrier. He looked around.

“Excuse me,” said someone to them. There he was, finally. Kim Dokja looked at the boy with messy hair and round glasses… Was it just his imagination or did that boy look like he was beyond mad? His stare alone could make a normal 11-year-old boy run away from him. But Kim Dokja was not a normal 11-year-old boy, so he replied to him.

“You must be a new student at Hogwarts, right? To go to platform 9 ¾ you just need to go run through that barrier,” Kim Dokja answered him as friendly as possible. That boy was startled at first, which might be because he instantly understood what troubled him. He thanked him and then disappeared to the barrier. Kim Dokja also followed him and arrived at the Hogwarts platform. He reminded himself again about his goal to reach the end of the story. He shouldn't play around. This was his second chance that he shouldn't mess up.

After he said goodbye to his family, he got on the train. He and the twins spotted Harry and saw his struggle to lift his trunk so they asked him if he needed their help, to which Harry awkwardly agreed. In the process, Kim Dokja asked him to sit together with him. The boy seemed uncertain but eventually accepted it.

“May I ask for your name?” asked Harry once both of them sat in the compartment.

Huh, It's a little rude to ask a person's name without introducing himself first, but Harry might not know that so he should let it pass.

“My name is Ronald Weasley. You can call me Ron, and you?”

Harry glared at him and mumbled something that Kim Dokja couldn't hear. Is he nervous?

“My name is Harry Potter, thanks for the tips before,” he finally answered.

“Anytime. So, you're the famous Harry Potter? You look like a normal person, unlike what the rumor said,” Kim Dokja tried to hold a conversation with him.

“So there's a rumor about my appearance too.”

Now that his family was not with him, he could drop his (bad) act. But he wasn't a very conversational person. It’s been a while since the last time he talked to a person his age outside of work-related, he even avoided talking to Sangah in his past life.

Should he talk about his inferiority towards his siblings just like in the novel? His thoughts were interrupted by Harry.

“I feel like I can take a nap, don't wake me up unless there's an urgent.”

And there he goes. Well, it's normal for Harry to feel tired. Kim Dokja lost his chance to befriend him but waking Harry up only for unnecessary talk felt wrong. He could see a dark circle under Harry's eyes.

Kim Dokja enjoyed the scenery on the train’s window to reduce his nervousness. It’s okay even if he didn't talk to Harry right now. The snack lady knocked at their compartment door and offered her products. He had his lunch already, but he didn't forget to buy some food for Harry, who was still sleeping. There goes the rest of his allowance. Harry should go to Gryffindor so he could get all his money back.

Away from his siblings, Kim Dokja finally could feel peace. Maybe Harry felt this too then so relaxed that he can't fight his desire to take a deserved nap. This moment reminded him of a moment in his past life when he read the TWSA novel on the subway. He missed it so much that he now felt sad about it. He hoped the author also lived in this world and he lived long enough that he could reread them. Why did he go to the Harry Potter world and not the TWSA world anyway? He wasn't fond of this book as much as the latter. The ending of this book is good already.

Kim Dokja wondered, Can I save Yoo Joonghyuk if that's the case? Is there a world where I went to the TWSA world instead?

He sighed at his impossible wish. He opened the book that he had picked before to accompany him on his journey to Hogwarts. When he passes 30 pages there's a new knock at the door. There, he could see a girl with bushy brown hair. She was Hermione Granger. She opened the compartment door and stated her business.

“Excuse me, did you see a toad? A student named Neville lost his toad,” asked Hermione. She saw the sleeping boy and then apologized for being noisy. She looked glad that she didn't wake him up.

“No, I didn't think I was aware even if there's a toad around,” answered him honestly. He was too deep in his thoughts after all.

She noticed the book in his hand. As expected from an overachiever Hermione. But her response was a little weird. “How did you read on a train, didn't you feel nauseous?”

Huh, is she worrying about him?

“Do you mind if I search the toad around this compartment for a moment? The owner is too worried about his lost toad that we need to calm him down,” requested Hermione. Kim Dokja nodded. “I’ll help you too.”

“Crap, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Hermione Granger, you?”

Crap?

“I’m Ron, Ronald Weasley. Nice to meet you, Miss Granger,” he introduced himself. He didn't expect Hermione to use that word.

The girl’s eyes were now sparkling. “Nice to meet you too, Ron. You can call me Hermione, we were in the same year, right?” She smiled.

“The sleeping person… Is he Harry Potter?” asked her while peeking at said person.

“Yes, he is.”

How did she know? Is it because she saw his scar?

After searching for a while, they still couldn't find the toad. Hermione bid him farewell as she was going to ask the next compartment.

“What are you guys doing?” asked Harry once the girl was already gone. So he was awake already.

“Oh, you're awake? We searched for a lost toad.”

“...Why didn’t you wake me up?”

“Should I? I’m sorry, I didn't think it was urgent enough to wake you up,” Kim Dokja surprised and apologized to him.

They were once again hit by silence.

Did he make a mistake for not waking Harry up?

“You have not eaten lunch, right? Here, I bought some food for you,” Kim Dokja gave the snack he bought from the lady before.

“...I didn't ask for it.”

Kim Dokja rolled his eyes, as expected from Harry. “Just eat, you are too small even for your age.” And reminded him of his teen past life.

Harry gave in and then ate the offered food. “I can cook better food than this,” he reasoned, yet kept eating the food. Kim Dokja couldn't hold his smile.

“What are you smiling about?”

Kim Dokja considered his answer. He didn't want to offend him. “You are more relaxed right now, compared to when I first saw you at the station. Did you enjoy your nap?”

“... I am. I lost some sleep time these days.”

Not long after Harry finished his lunch, there was another knock at the door. Urgh, Dokja already knew who their last guest was since the snack lady and Hermione already visited them. He forgot the order, but he knew whoever visited this compartment, and the one that hadn't visited them yet was the one he didn't want to meet the most.

“I heard that Harry Potter was on this train,” Malfoy looked over at them. When he saw Kim Dokja he snorted. “A second clothes. Ugly red hair. You must be a Weasley.”

When Malfoy laid his eyes on Harry and his scar he knew who it was. “You must be Harry Potter, am I right?”

“...No.”

What is this guy thinking?

“No? Who are you then?” Malfoy was slightly disappointed.

“Not your business, leave us alone.”

Oi Harry, I know your first impression of Malfoy was bad but this is too much!

“...You must be a mudblood for speaking without manners. Just exactly like what I expected from one of Weasley’s friends,” taunted Malfoy while his gang laughed.

“...We didn't see Harry Potter, you better search for him in the next compartment,” and leave us alone.

Malfoy looked again at them before deciding not to waste his time for a mere mudblood and a blood traitor. He and his gang left abruptly. They didn't even introduce themselves, seeing there was no benefit in interacting with them. Now, he could finally relax until they reached the station.

Or so he thought. There's a girl with black bob hair looking at them from the compartment door that was left open by Malfoy's gang. Her eyes analyze them like they know everything about them. Dokja had a bad feeling.

“You might have fooled them but don't underestimate me. I know who you two are, Ron Weasley and Harry Potter.”

“...Who are you?” asked Kim Dokja. He didn't remember they encountered this kind of girl in the original plot.

“How rude. Well, I already said your name first though, so it's fair. Nice to meet you, my name is Pansy Parkinson… I prefer to be called Han Sooyoung, to be honest. I am… a diviner you could say. I know your future, golden boys.”

Han Sooyoung. That name didn't ring any bell.

So she was another world traveler like him?

“I don't trust you. You are friends with that bastard,” replied Harry.

Did sleeping affect him so much that his personality changed?!

Pansy, or Han Sooyoung, was speechless after hearing that reply. If you put Dokja in the same position as her, he would definitely do the same. She inhaled deeply and found her words again.

“I’m not planning to stick around that guy anymore, you know? I despised him as much as you do,” when she noticed that she didn't convince them enough she added, “...if you ever need any tips feel free to search for me and ask me anything, excuse me.”

Han Sooyoung left their compartment just like that. She’s not planning to destroy the plot or siding with the Dark Lord. Her character was not important so there should not be a problem if they befriend her. If he remembered correctly, Pansy Parkinson was a Slytherin. I should keep an eye on her, Kim Dokja decided. Based on her name, she was probably a Korean like him, so there's another similarity besides the fact that both of them were world travelers.

“What a weird girl,” Dokja finally said to break the silence.

“What is that book?” Harry changed the topic while pointing to the book that he was holding.

“Oh, this? It's just a book about the history of wizards, are you curious?”

“I didn't know you like to read, Ron.”

“Rude.”

“Hmph, tell me about it.”

Kim Dokja planned to introduce that topic to him anyway. That's the reason he chose to bring this book with him. However, he seemed too late to tell Harry how to act properly towards purebloods like Malfoy and not make enemies with them. He explained many things to Harry until they heard an announcement that they had almost arrived at their destination.

They changed into their robes and when the train finally stopped they got off the train. Harry and Hagrid exchanged glances before Hagrid escorted the first-year student to the lake and boarded with them towards a castle that he had read the description of before.

“So that's Hogwarts…” said one of the first-year students who was on the same boat with them.

It resembles the one in the movies…

It's beautiful.

Next, they're led by Professor McGonagall inside the castle. Kim Dokja caught Malfoy staring at him, and when Malfoy realized that Kim Dokja saw him, he was glaring hard at him. Kim Dokja was the one who averted his eyes first. He was an adult, after all, he didn't mind if it made Malfoy feel like he won their staring contest.

After explaining about Hogwarts generally, Professor McGonagall left them alone to check whether it was time for first-year students to enter the Great Hall yet. Kim Dokja looked around and he saw a boy with a toad and Hermione on his side. He must be Neville Longbottom. Weirdly enough, he felt something was wrong though he couldn't pinpoint it. Neville wasn't as nervous as he expected. Hermione was also friendly with her peers. Did Sooyoung already do something to them?

Hermione saw her and waved her hand at him. Dokja waved back when he felt someone bumped his stomach. It's Han Sooyoung.

“I’m the one who underestimated you. You waste no time, Weasley,” she said while grinning.

“...What are you doing, Han Sooyoung? Shouldn't you avoid us while still in front of Malfoy?” Kim Dokja whispered to her. She looked happy when he called her by her real name.

“I’m touched by your concern, golden boy. Rest assured, I’ll make sure that I get sorted into Gryffindor so I can leave that spoiled brat behind. I’m also a woman, so there's no need for me to accompany him even if I got sorted into Slytherin.”

Kim Dokja was curious about the real age of this Han Sooyoung, who calls herself a woman. He chose to touch on that topic.

“A woman ? You are 11.”

“What are you guys talking about?” asked Harry.

This might be a problem for them to talk about this in front of the protagonist. Han Sooyoung was holding a different opinion, unfortunately.

“As you can tell, I’m a genius diviner and a success writer. My real age is 26,” she said proudly.

“I heard girls like to act more mature than their real age is. You must fall into that category,” commented Kim Dokja.

“You are as annoying as I expected, Ron.”

“Oh, so we are on a first-name basis now?”

“You are a brat anyway. Did you prefer to be called golden boy then?”

“You are the brat one and stop calling me golden boy. I have a name.”

Weird, shouldn't he have this kind of banter with Hermione? Is it because this person doesn't know that I also have the same fate as him so she thinks she could talk freely?

Kim Dokja felt a tug at his clothes. It was Harry. “Stop talking to her. She is insane.”

“I can hear that clearly, you know? At least whisper if you want to talk bad of a person in front of you.”

“Leave us alone, Miss Parkinson.”

“How about no? I want to be friends with Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived, after all.”

Did Han Sooyoung know that you shouldn't annoy a person you want to be friends with?

Those spoken words sparked a commotion among other students. He forgot that Harry had not been introduced yet.

“So it was true.”

“Harry Potter has arrived at Hogwarts!”

“Can you see his scar?”

“I want to see it!”

“Harry Potter!”

Harry stayed silent.

“...How annoying,” he whispered while glaring at the crowd. Some students who saw that took a step back.

Their life was saved by Professor McGonagall who was back and called them to follow her into the Great Hall.

“See you later, losers,” said Han Sooyoung to both of them.

Kim Dokja forgot to ask Han Sooyoung about Hermione's abnormal behavior. He would ask her when they had a class together with Slytherin.

The grand door in front of them opened. He could see the teachers who sat at the most northern table while the older students sat in front of four different tables. They walked towards a hat in front of the teacher's table. Somehow Dokja felt his nervousness rising again. What if he wasn't brave enough to be sorted into Gryffindor? What if he didn't have any necessary qualities for other houses too? He tried to end his life once, there's nothing brave about him. He chose to give up. He wasn't that genius enough that he got rejected while enrolling for college. He didn't have anyone for him to be loyal to. Lastly, he wasn't cunning. His hands were already shaking when he realized it happened.

“Calm down, Ron. I know your true value so you shouldn't belittle yourself,” Harry, who noticed him, tried to calm him down.

How pitiful was he? He was 28 years old yet got appeased by an 11-year-old kid's words.

“...Thank you, Harry.”

“I just tried to pay my debt.”

What debt was he talking about? Was it about his lunch?

Professor McGonagall started to call the first-year students one by one. Hermione and Neville went to Gryffindor. Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle went to Slytherin. Kim Dokja didn't spot any irregularities like Han Sooyoung if he ignored Hermione who was friendly and close to Neville. The next person to be sorted was the irregular herself.

“Parkinson, Pansy.”

She walked elegantly towards the hat. She sat there and let the hat decide her house. They took so long, the longest one so far. Han Sooyoung's face didn't indicate any expression, she must have been very serious when she said she would be sorted into Gryffindor. Was she threatening that hat to sort her into Gryffindor? She definitely knew that Harry also begged the hat to not sort him into Slytherin in the original book. Suddenly, Han Sooyoung's expression went into a satisfied face. That was his last warning before the hat announced her house.

“GRYFFINDOR!”

…Dear Merlin. Well, at least this makes it easier to keep an eye on her.

“Potter, Harry.”

The Great Hall went silent, it's not like they're not like that before, after a student's name was announced, but this is by far the most silent one. No one dares hold a conversation. Some of them even hold their breath. Even the teacher and Dumbledore, the headmaster, focused on them, waiting for Harry to step forward.

“I’ll be waiting for you, Ron,” Harry said before he went towards the hat bravely. Kim Dokja definitely changed Harry unconsciously. They talked a lot in their compartment so he couldn't find out which one changed him. Harry looked so confident and dare he say, cool. All eyes automatically fall on Harry. They watched every move he made.

Harry’s sorting didn't take as long as Han Sooyoung's. Unlike Han Sooyoung's emotionless expression, Harry’s expression was more on the calm side. Unlike the person himself, almost all of the students were nervous, Kim Dokja included. All his money was on this after all.

Please Harry, just follow the original plot.

“GRYFFINDOR!”

Kim Dokja finally exhaled the breath that he had held. The Great Hall filled with overjoyed Gryffindor sounds. A lot of teachers were clapping. Some girls were even screaming. That's the popularity of the Protagonist, as he expected. He sneaked a glance at the twins and grinned. He could see Harry walking to the Gryffindor table and sat there, looking at him. Now it's all on him to not mess the plot up.

If Han Sooyoung succeeded in convincing the hat, so could he.

The hat continued the sorting, and the upper students congratulated the new student.

Harry trusted him, so he shouldn't betray that trust.

“Weasley, Ronald.”

It’s his turn. Why is it suddenly hard to breathe? He needs to calm down, he had a presentation in front of his boss before, and this is nothing compared to that. He just needs to sit there, in front of a lot of students that’s not going to judge him. He was just an ordinary Weasley after all, no one paid attention to him besides his siblings.

“I’ll be waiting for you, Ron,”

…Fuck you, Harry, for giving him an extra burden in his mind.

He stepped forward and by no time he was already in front of the hat. He gulped. He sat on the chair then Professor McGonagall placed the hat on him.

“Huh, another world traveler! I wonder if you are the last one… Gryffindor again? You guys shouldn't look down on other houses and should start appreciating your own values. I hate it when students feel lonely, caged, and can't fully open their potential value because they got sorted into the wrong house. I feel conflicted right now, what was my purpose if you guys didn't hear me out?”

...He blamed this moody hat because of Han Sooyoung.

“Stop thinking unnecessary thoughts. Now, let me see… Your loyalty is still hidden inside yet you are willing to do everything to protect your loved ones. Hmm, not a quite knowledgeable one for sure but really open with imaginary stories like a dreamer, very visionary. Oh, what is it? Why do you want to be sorted into Gryffindor when you already evaluate yourself that you didn't have the value for Gryffindor? Hmm…such a difficult boy.”

“...You are even willing to do anything to reach your goal, even if you know it's near impossible. How ambitious, or are you simply a fool? No, you still hold some realistic view that you believe that all good things in the end require a good amount of sacrifices. What a depressed and selfish person, yet selfless towards himself who didn't know anything about self-preservation. I think I found my answer.”

“Do not place me in Slytherin.”

“Is it a rule for world travelers not to be sorted into Slytherin? Will you die if you were placed on Slytherin like what that girl was saying?”

...So that's how Han Sooyoung threatened the hat.

“You think that girl was threatening me? Hah! What a funny guess. You know that your guys' accumulated age is still much younger than my age, right?”

“...I want to be brave. I got my second chance at living. I want to act and not escape from my own problems. I’ll face anything, even the Dark Lord. Even if Harry was dying, I would fight for his sake. I’m not going to give up on this world.”

Like Yoo Joonghyuk.

Kim Dokja started receiving stares from other students as he took a very long time there. He couldn't compare it to Sooyoung, but he realized that he had taken too long. He accidentally locked eyes with his siblings, they were waiting for him.

“...I didn't want to use this card. But, as you can see, I’m a Weasley, you know? Just place me at Gryffindor already.”

“Pfffft—Hahaha! So that's your last card? I see, I understand your resolution. You better not waste this opportunity, boy.”

His heart was pumping on a crazy beat he didn't know he was capable of. He felt sweaty. He closed his eyes while waiting for the hat to announce its final decision on him.

“Your house better be…”

“GRYFFINDOR!”

Notes:

The next chapter will be a bonus chapter. It's a sneak peek from Han Sooyoung's POV based on this chapter and much shorter than this one.

Extra note: I apologize in advance if I didn't get the plot and detail correctly. I cross-checked with the plot description from a wiki.
