old habits are hard to break. two years of living together just gets people in a routine. i adapt to you, just as you adapt to me. your space is mine, mine is yours. our 24 hours merge into one long schedule; sometimes i’m out when you are, sometimes you’re out when i’m not.
lately, pezzy’s been feeling this magnetic pull to his housemate, droid. he’s been noticing his subconscious actions and now he can’t stop thinking about them. it starts when droid calls him down to watch a movie he’s been wanting to see for a while; something action, something comedy- a perfect end to the night after the long stream hours. pezzy joins despite the tiredness behind his eyes, eager to be entertained by his housemate more than the movie. droid’s always been such a natural entertainer, pezzy thinks as he watches him load up the film excitedly. a gentle smile is on his face the whole time, to which droid snorts at when he catches him, “why’re you lookin’ at me like that, man?” he presses play before pezzy can answer.
after contagious laughs and banter between the two, pezzy starts to get actually immersed in the film. but a prickly feeling sets in his bones and jerks him out of it. he exhales loudly, rubbing his arms, “hey do we have a blanket or something? why is it suddenly so cold?” droid perks up, “oh, i can fetch you one. thermostat isn’t to your liking, huh?” he jokes as he goes off on the hunt for a blanket. pezzy sighs, feeling defeated at the loss of the only source of warmth he had. he yawns as droid presents one that’s soft and fluffy, “this okay?” pezzy blinks slowly and nods, hurriedly taking it and wrapping it around himself. droid stifles a laugh watching him struggle to get it around the back. so he helps out, carefully tucking loose ends behind pezzy, having to reach over to tuck the other side in.
pezzy will never admit how his heart raced when droid leaned so close to him like that. “all good?” droid asks with a thumbs up. pezzy nods in silence again.
droid’s arm is still there behind him on the upper back of the couch, comfortably resting at pezzy’s shoulder blades. he sinks into the couch (and the fluffy blanket) at the realisation, prompting droid to look at him with worry. pezzy doesn’t catch the way the other has to tear his eyes away from the cute sight in front of him. he wishes he could snap a photo of pezzy looking so adorably stupid, but there’s no good excuse to do that right now. so droid lives with just storing it in his mental memory box. he feels compelled to say something, so he asks, “still cold?” pezzy mumbles, “a little…” for a reason neither of them know, droid gives a little sigh before pulling the bundle of blanket and pezzy closer to him, wrapping his arms around it all.
droid thinks if he says anything, he’ll just make it more awkward. pezzy thinks if he says something, droid will stop.
eventually, pezzy ends up falling asleep. droid repositions him against his chest, grabbing one of the couch pillows for extra support. as a good friend should. the bundle feels extra warm now with how pezzy’s body is regulating his temperature while he sleeps soundly. droid is a little upset that he isn’t awake to finish the film with him, but more mad at himself for taking pezzy away from precious sleep hours after stream. he ends up finishing the movie by himself with a few hushed giggles, but it’s not really the same without someone to commentate alongside.
droid finally shuts everything off and carries pezzy all the way up to his own room to comfortably wake up in tomorrow morning. he also leaves the blanket downstairs in favour of tucking pezzy into his own, doing it the way he knows he prefers. as a good friend should.
he turns off the lights, and leaves.

‘yo usually i’m late to stream but it’s only been an hour? what’s up’ a chat message reads curiously.
“i’m gonna be honest, guys,” pezzy starts, glancing at the flying messages in his stream chat. “i woke up, like, really late today.”
‘someone keeping you up at night huh’ another message says, followed by a slew of laughing emotes. pezzy reads it out loud, the one person coming to mind making himself laugh “honestly…” he trails off, then laughs again, “nah, nothing like that. i guess my body knew it was time to fix… everything,”he gestures wildly. as if on cue, his bedroom door opens slowly, revealing a shadowy figure.
‘pezzy, look behind y-‘
he turns and screams at the figure, headphones flying out of his hands. he ends up on the floor, chair comically rolling to the perfect angle to see (and hear) droid laughing hysterically at the doorway while pezzy lays motionless on the ground recovering from the shock. “dude!” the mic faintly picks up. “please don’t do that again…” he whines. droid’s laughter dies down as he helps his friend up into the chair, repeating apologies amidst the remaining giggles. “i couldn’t resist.”
“what’re you doing now?” droid asks once they’re all situated and the other’s chat is done laughing at their streamer’s misery. he stands behind pezzy’s chair, hands on the edges of the backrest. they all too easily slip down towards pezzy’s shoulder as he talks to his monitors about his plan for the stream that night, throwing out some ideas for the near future if he feels up to it.
of course, droid is listening intently; even if the hand making its way to pezzy’s opposite cheek, wrist resting under his chin suggests otherwise. while still answering and asking questions, while still so easily behaving like everything is normal, droid’s fingers get busy absentmindedly lightly pinching and prodding at pezzy’s cheek. he keeps answering questions and talking, the older not minding as he still calmly converses with his chat.
“oh by the way, i have food for you downstairs. you haven’t eaten yet,” droid says. and it sounds so homey and domestic, pezzy almost (keyword: almost) forgets he’s live. he whips his head to look up and at droid, the younger’s hand now perfectly cupping his cheek, “really?” and- god- what droid would give to experience this moment of pezzy’s eyes virtually sparkling a million times over. “great, you’ve just reminded me i’m starving.”
droid affectionately pats his cheek with a smile, skin feeling hot all of a sudden, “of course, i’ll be right back.” they don’t miss the onslaught of messages in chat that zoom past yelling “AYO?” or some variant of it but choose to ignore it in silence. pezzy has never wished for his lighting to be worse just so that he can hide the red in his cheeks. “um… right, so,” he claps his hands together, trying to shake off the euphoria he just experienced and get his heart rate back to normal. “back to stream. i was recommended this game…”
some time later as pezzy finally loads the game he’s going to play, droid makes sure to announce his presence clearly. “oh shit, thanks,” pezzy says, moving one side of his headphones off his ear before getting a hold of the warm bowl now in his hands. “anything for you,” he almost misses. a quick glance at chat shows no one heard that. pezzy feels a bit dizzy. droid has kind of made himself comfortable with his arms crossed over the top of pezzy’s chair, casually responding to chat. the sounds are all blending together in a blur as pezzy’s inner voice urges him to snap out of it. he’s live, damn it!
“alright, nice talking to y’all,” droid announces, more to alert pezzy and snap him out of his daze. the older suddenly springs to life, blinking rapidly. “uh- oh. y-yeah, bye droid.”
a few nights later, droid lays in bed scrolling his social medias when he comes across something funny enough that he wants to show pezzy. trying to find him in his room seems to be the wrong answer because he isn’t there despite the mood lights being on. raising his eyebrows, droid walks around to find the kitchen lights are on. so he must be there, he thinks.
rewinding the video and pausing it, he approaches the kitchen with a giggle ready to go on his lips. but the sight in front of him is anything to giggle at. pezzy is on the floor leaned up against their island, green bottle in hand. now droid may not be an expert, but he’s seen his fair share of those little green things around the house and their friends to know that is soju. “no…” he quietly says, putting his phone on the counter and squatting next to his housemate with a frown.
pezzy lifts his head, cracking a drunken smile after taking a moment to recognise his friend, “droid~!” he slurs.
“nah man, what are you getting all fucked up for, hm?” pezzy just shrugs gesturing to another already empty bottle next to him, “might as well.” droid sighs, taking the open one in his hand and looking for the cap so he can put it back in the fridge. it’s hard to ignore pezzy’s drunk whines when they sound so cute, but he gets everything put away before deciding how to deal with his friend splayed out on the floor.
droid decides the first step is water, “you need to get all that out of your system.” pezzy frowns at the lack of taste in the liquid but still finishes the cup given to him. he groans, “i… don’t feel good.”
“yep, i know. we need to get you to bed, man. you should not be drinking the pain away,” droid jokes, getting the other onto his feet. pezzy laughs, “how’d you know about the pain?” something goes off in droid’s head but he answers back comically instead, “don’t we all.”
the original plan is to take pezzy upstairs with his arm around droid’s shoulder, but he sees that’s not really going to work. he’s given the solution though, when pezzy decides to plant himself face first into him, hugging droid tight from the front. the younger has no idea what to do. there’s no manual for this kind of thing, especially not with a friend and housemate that you kind of feel like you’re having a thing with (and even that’s not clear either)!
droid feels himself panic, and that’s when pezzy grumbles into his t-shirt, “your heartbeat is pounding in my ears. you need to stop doing that.” as if it were that easy! droid scoffs, suddenly deciding that nothing is starting to matter anymore. he wraps his arms around pezzy, who only takes it as a sign to drunkenly nuzzle him. droid has to hold in the sound of affection he wants to make, biting the inside of his cheek to keep himself lucid and not give in to the easy desires in front of him. “jesus christ…” he can’t help but slip out in a whisper.
“can we please get you to your room? you need to sleep. now.” droid pats pezzy’s upper back. “you’re comfortable enough, just…” the older trails off, leaving everything to droid’s imagination. whatever the hell could he even say next? “you’re making this really hard, pezz-“
“haha,” he dryly laughs, obviously at the word ‘hard’. droid rolls his eyes, “oh, come on. being sober while dealing with your drunk ass is a whole different beast.” he laments. droid gives a compromise that pezzy finally accepts. which leads him to (once again) carrying pezzy’s almost limp body upstairs, but to droid’s room this time. he sets pezzy on his bed, assuring him that he’ll be back when the older makes a noise of frustration at being left alone. droid goes to shut down pezzy’s room before heading downstairs to grab his forgotten phone off the island and medicine and water for the other tomorrow morning. as a good friend should.
droid returns to see pezzy face down in the pillow, rushing to turn the man over. “you coulda died, dude!” pezzy laughs, eyes already closed, “okay.” droid sighs in relief, shaking his head as he plugs in his phone, arranges his desk, paces the room- anything to distract him from what he knows he can’t avoid. after another bout of pacing, pezzy lifts his head curiously and pats around the noticeably empty space next to him.
“droid.”
“yeap.”
“why aren’t you in bed?”
droid pauses. “right. yea. of course.” pezzy turns back over, silhouette expecting. droid moves the blanket and just sits on the bed for a moment, still feeling nervous about all of this. this is his friend, after all; he shouldn’t be so… troubled. he’s just doing what he should do. as a good friend, of course.
sleep is beginning to call to him now, and the warmth of his bed is becoming too hard to ignore. pezzy feels the weight of the bed shift, humming softly in what sounds like delight. droid turns his head slightly, quietly observing his friend in the dim ambient lights of his room. a thought drifts into his mind.
he’s beautiful.
pezzy turns over to face him, pulling droid from his thoughts. he feels his face go warm at the fact that he’s thinking about such things while said friend is sleeping right next to him. he should not be doing this. at all.
and then pezzy cracks an eye open at droid’s forlorn sigh, before smiling at him. the younger’s heartbeat races yet again with a sharp inhale, frozen to his spot. he curses to himself for getting so flustered so easily. this shouldn’t be happening. not that it’s horrible for it to be happening, but this whole having feelings thing is completely unprecedented and weighing so heavy.
wait, having feelings?
“i can feel you thinking, droid.” he pauses. really? “yes,” pezzy responds. then he moves forward, arm across droid’s chest, cheek pressed to his shoulder. the younger sucks in a deep breath, and pezzy mumbles, “what’re you thinking about?” his hand finds its way to droid’s cheek, lightly tapping it, then up to his soft hair. pezzy seems to be happy staying like this as droid stumbles through his words, starting and stopping multiple sentences that make a lot of awkward sounds, before giving up forming anything remotely pride-saving. he admits quietly, “you.”
it’s been days since pezzy woke up in droid’s bed, the two having slept in late. he remembers freaking out at first, but then resigning to fate since it’s already in the past and he can’t do anything to change that. ever since he left droid’s room that afternoon, it’s been getting harder and harder to find the younger around the house. only yesterday pezzy clicked in on a call that puffer and droid were having, unintentionally blocking droid from trying to escape him even if he wanted to. pezzy hopes and prays that he didn’t want to.
a bit later, grizzy joins, turning the atmosphere and vibe meters even higher. discussion turns into bouncing around silly video ideas for shooting real life content, where pezzy suggests the other two come over to film. droid stays unnaturally quiet every time pezzy speaks, the older sensing a tone shift when he speaks after him. he notices how droid’s voice suddenly becomes awkward to listen to, how he finds ways to get distracted by playing with his fingers, headphone wires, or some toy on his desk. pezzy’s never felt distracted by anything when droid talks; something to do with this weird fascination he has with everything droid has to say, and with the way he says them.
but that probably doesn’t mean anything.
next thing he knows, he’s left in the call with grizzy, the green ring around the other’s icon blinking in time with his voice, “hello? you there?” pezzy hurriedly answers and apologises. “is… is everything okay? you doin’ alright?”
he doesn’t really know what to say. what can he even tell grizzy? “oh yeah i’m fine. i’ve just been feeling weirdly domestic and closer than friends with one of my best friends- whom you also are best friends with- and also we slept together once but not like that; also i was drunk and don’t remember if i did anything stupid.”
that? yeah, right. “you’re zoning out again.” pezzy curses and apologises with a heavy sigh carrying the weight of all his troubles. “i just… i’ve been having a lot on my mind. and… and droid’s been ignoring me.” grizzy hums for him to continue. “i dunno if it was something i said, or something i did when i was drunk that one time-“ oh. well-
“drunk?” grizzy restates. “yes…” pezzy admits. just his tone of voice indicates that grizzy thinks something definitely happened. “i can’t help you then. you know drunk you is a whole different beast.” pezzy can’t help but sadly chuckle and smile to himself, “that’s what droid said too…” his head hangs as grizzy comments on how funny it is because it’s droid, of all people. “bro must’ve had a hard time dealing with you.” pezzy chuckles. hard.
“oh grow up,” grizzy says before the two burst into laughter. “look, i don’t know about him avoiding you for no reason. he doesn’t do this sorta shit. maybe something happened but it might not be your fault; just be patient with him, pezzy.”
he tries to take that advice up until the day their friends came over. as the doorbell rings, they finally meet eye contact at the front door greeting their friends. grizzy glances between the housemates, catching pezzy’s eye before he looks at droid conversing happily with puffer. he raises an eyebrow to which pezzy rolls his eyes and gives a small shake of his head. grizzy’s lips form a straight line of disappointment before a sigh leaves them.
“okay!” puffer yells, clapping his hands loudly. pezzy almost topples over, the group laughing for a bit. “let’s start this up.”
the stream goes for a few hours, to which pezzy delights in the fact that droid treats him normally again. that’s if normal includes a lot of hand grabbing, standing really close for no good reason, and suspicious jokes whispered under his breath only to be denied to hell and back if it gets brought up.
pezzy has a good fucking time, though. the sense of normalcy almost got to him until the stream shuts down and puffer complains about being hungry. then droid is detached from pezzy and reattached to puffer. disappointment washes over him at the sight.
droid seems to try to be as far away from pezzy as he can at any given moment. their friends obviously pick up on it but choose to keep the peace. once the highs have mellowed out and a few beers have been knocked back by the collective, they gather comfortably around the couches, taking up as much real estate as they each want. droid- surprisingly- sits on the three-seater with pezzy, who chooses not to say anything about it. something good is finally happening and he does not want to ruin this.
slowly but surely, droid inches his way closer to pezzy. first it’s just a lot of shifting in his seat. then, pezzy feels fingers brush his arm every time droid leans over to gesture accusingly at puffer. then his knee pokes at him, their legs touch and overlap, droid’s hand rests on pezzy’s thigh, one arm behind pezzy on the back of the couch-
if he keeps up with being aware of every movement happening between the drunk thoughts and loud banter, pezzy’s sure his head will explode. he kicks back more beer.
“you’ve been weirdly quiet, pezz. everything good?” puffer asks. pezzy stumbles over his words, not expecting to be put on the spot suddenly. “ah… uh… nothing to worry about.” then he feels the weight of their stares off of him, looking down to focus on himself again. out of the corner of his eye, he sees how close droid’s gotten to him, and how their hands are mere centimetres apart. as if sensing his piercing stare, droid puts his hand on pezzy’s, thumb rubbing soothingly on the back of it to calm him down. he says nothing. conversation is back to vaguely talking about internet things, their shared interests, or something crazy they’ve seen. pezzy doesn’t join in, feeling extra exhausted. he leaves to the kitchen for a moment.
droid’s mind is clouded. days have been going by in a blur, often making him lose track of time. spending the day with his friends is probably the thing droid needs to finally let loose and get his mind away from things. he lays down at pezzy’s absence, listening intently on some wisdom grizzy is sharing, with puffer adding some of his thoughts and some jokes here and there. it’s fun. pezzy comes back just to stand still, obviously wondering where his seat went. “oh, i’m sorry,” droid says quietly, starting to get up, when pezzy just shakes his head. he holds droid up long enough to sit down under him, making him put his head on a pillow on his lap instead.
puffer and grizzy are too engrossed in a completely new argument to say anything about what just happened, leaving the other two to stew in silence over their actions for a bit. a little bit passes before pezzy gives a very enthusiastic agreement toward something grizzy said, jostling droid below him. the younger makes a small noise that goes unheard when puffer loudly joins in the conversation, pezzy then looking down and apologising softly with a gentle pat to his hair.
the hand stays there for a while, only leaving when droid sits up to swig his beer, but it comes back the moment he lays back down. his eyes want to close, the gentle rubbing motions putting him to sleep. he can feel the weight and pressure of pezzy’s numerous bracelets on his wrist rolling against his head, only adding on to the soothing feeling. droid feels so comfortable, so serene, that he almost forgets his friends are here too; that this isn’t just him and pezzy anymore, and they have obligations to behave accordingly in front of their friends. his eyes fly open.
“alright, i’m sorry but i can’t just ignore this anymore- what- is something going on with you two?” the room drops degrees. “what do you mean?” droid jumps up straight in his seat. the shake in pezzy’s voice tells droid that he’s not feeling alone in this and it gives him some comfort. puffer frowns, “just look at you two! i mean, i get it, content. but there are no cameras right now.” he raises his hands at grizzy’s accusatory stare, “chill! i’m just asking!”
the two housemates spend a long time staying quiet, as if they were being interrogated in school. “i… i don’t know.” pezzy admits. droid turns to him. “what do you mean?” grizzy asks. droid didn’t expect to get his and pezzy’s quiet suffering all aired out and discussed with their friends, but he guesses this is probably healthier than keeping everything in. pezzy meets droid’s eye for a split second, as if asking for permission or hesitating. “i- he- we-…” he hangs his head. “i don’t know, okay? droid’s been avoiding me the whole week and some more since…” puffer’s hand moves in a circle asking pezzy to continue.
“pezzy was drunk one night and he slept in my bed.” droid states with a heavy exhale, pulling at his face. grizzy’s mouth falls open as he looks at pezzy, puffer taking off his glasses to rub his eyes before leaning back into his chair.
“but i only did that because of last time!”
“last time?!” grizzy asks, laughing forward in his seat. pezzy holds his face in his hands, “oh my god… guys- i… i don’t want to get deep into this.” droid shakes his head, “for the record though, i wasn’t avoiding you.” pezzy tilts his head with a frown, “uh, yeah you were. i barely saw you whether i was upstairs or down here. you never looked at your messages either when i was trying to get a hold of you.”
“look, man, i was just… those nights fucked me over a little bit, okay? you’re not exactly making it easy for me to deal with…”
(puffer mouths to grizzy, “‘those nights’?” the other only shrugs.)
“with what, droid? what’s so hard for you that you can’t even talk to me about? that you had to go out of your way to ignore me? i thought… i thought it-“
droid grits his teeth, trying to contain his emotions. he wants to lash out at pezzy for being so unreasonable. he wants to ignore their friends and cry out his frustration. how weird it is that even through the anger and the despair, droid still thinks pezzy looks beautiful? this might be love, he thinks. or maybe he’s thinking too much. droid deflates a little, then says in a small voice, “it’s just- hard to deal with these new feelings, okay?”
any semblance of anger melts from pezzy’s face, “what…?”
“there’s just a lot. i-i don’t wanna get into it-“
“thank god,” puffer groans, making pezzy laugh when all eyes turn to him. “huh? oh, please go ahead. don’t let me interrupt.”
droid smiles, “as i was saying. every little bit of every day i’ve spent with you has come up to this. i can’t even begin to describe these feelings and the way things changed within me. it’s tough, dude. feelings are cringe.” pezzy raises an eyebrow. “i mean they’re cool but, like, also kinda cringe ‘cus like, damn why am i feeling so gooey right now, y’know?” everyone begins to relax as the high tension breaks. droid’s grateful no one has zeroed in on the whole having feelings part of his little speech. pezzy takes a moment after the giggles die down, “guys if it’s okay, can we stop talking about this? we’ll… we’ll figure it out.” grizzy spreads his hands open in the air like a sign of surrender, “of course.” he points at puffer, “anymore drinks?” they leave to the kitchen to check.
pezzy takes this brief moment alone to shift closer and lean toward droid, who- out of habit- puts his arm around the back of the couch for pezzy to get comfortable beside him and put his head on his open shoulder. “you wanna talk about this later?” droid nods, “better earlier. i think this alcohol is giving me superpowers.” pezzy giggles and droid smiles at the sound of it. this is how it’s meant to be. grizzy and puffer come back with the last four bottles, everyone opening one to clink together. the night moves on with more light hearted conversations and even a small drinking game.
by the time puffer and grizzy leave, the moon has already started to welcome the sun. the housemates clean up and wash up in silence. they stay separate, each waiting for the other to knock or to come in to their rooms. minutes pass before pezzy decides to take matters into his own hands. “looks like we had the same idea,” droid says as they meet in the hallway. pezzy nervously laughs. “my room or yours?” he immediately says droid’s, shyly adding, “i just like your room more.”
they take a moment to settle in the ambient room, accepting it’s okay for them to both sit and be close on the bed. “pezz, i just wanna say i’m sorry for being a douche after… y’know. i think i started really considering stuff when you stayed up to watch that show with me even though i knew you’d just ended a long stream. i kinda still kick myself for it.” droid’s eyes move a bit further down pezzy’s face, “i mean it probably contributed to these, right?” he reaches out to trace the other’s dark circles with his thumb, the motion so unexpected that pezzy flinches a little.
“it takes hard work to get them,” he jokes in return to ease droid’s shock as his hand retracts. pezzy lets loose his thoughts. he thinks there’s no point trying to keep anything quiet anymore. puffer’s gone and blown the lid off their nicely kept (but falling apart) secret. maybe that’s a good thing. he tells droid about forgetting what happened after he drank and woke up in his bed, apologising if something happened that made him distant. “no, you had nothing to apologise for. i mean, you… uh- you just hugged me really nice and… you were so soft and cuddly.” droid’s eyes fall away guiltily from his figure, “you always are when you get drunk, you know that?”
pezzy feels heat on his cheeks, he knows exactly why he was drinking in the first place. “no, i… didn’t know that. well, uhm,” he clears his throat and shifts in his seat. “since you confessed then i will too. i… was drinking that night because something was telling me that this growing ball of…” pezzy pauses his wild gesturing, his eyes carefully flickering between the sheets and droid’s concentrated stare as he continues, “feelings… i was harbouring for you was gonna end up nowhere. i’d convinced myself that i was doing all this in vain, that i could never realistically have you.” his voice wobbles at the end.
“but you have me.”
pezzy deflates, feeling tears in his eyes at droid’s words. “you’ve always had me. you always will; whether romantically or not, i will always be here. you can’t get rid of me that easily, pezz.” and they laugh for a moment, the tears that collected rolling down. droid stops for a moment to wipe them away in a panic, “holy shit, i’m sorry! is this my fault?” pezzy continues laughing while swiping the other’s hands away. it’s devolved into a purposeful bit of droid putting his hands all up in pezzy’s face and him pushing them away. “no, no! these are happy tears- droid!”
“you’re really beautiful, y’know?”
“well that came out of nowhere.” droid grins, both of them settling back down, “so did my feelings, pezz. that’s how i work, baby.” he smiles like a dork, pezzy thinks. it’s so adorable. and so where does this go now that they’ve both bared their hearts for each other? pezzy fidgets with his fingers. “so… now what?”
“wanna kiss?”
“droid!”
“what?! am i wrong? is this not the time to ask that?” pezzy falls over on his side from laughing so hard, droid leaning to follow after him. “oh my god!” he wipes new tears from his eyes. “you’re the funniest thing ever, oh my god. ah- i mean i guess? but- jesus- i dunno, yeah there’s not really an order to any of this but…”
“okay, sweet. so, you wanna kiss the homie goodnight, or…?” droid gestures. pezzy can’t suppress the smile on his face as he motions for droid to move closer to him. the younger gets comfortable on his stomach, propped up by his elbows with their faces inches apart, just looking at each other for the time being, both nervous to do anything now that things are getting real (and warm). “you really are so pretty,” droid mumbles, eyes flicking from his lips. pezzy covers his face, “stop it…”
“i’m so serious. i’ve never been more serious in my life.” droid removes the hands one by one to smile at the older below him. pezzy’s hand shakily makes contact with droid’s cheek, the younger giving it a slight nuzzle and a chaste kiss with a smile. pezzy blushes. and everything is feeling so brand new, as if he’s falling in love for the first time. then he guides droid closer to him, hand now moving to the back of his neck. their heads turn the way they should, eyes fluttering close as their lips finally touch. there’s a little more movement and readjustment, but then they’re dancing with each other, minds melting to the thrill of the ride.
neither of them have ever felt such a strong force of euphoria that it feels dizzying. it’s so powerful and every block of tension in their bodies melt away just by the mere presence of each other. not a single thought invade either of their minds, being so preoccupied with just being in the moment, feelings these emotions, and existing with each other, in each other.
this is real. this is the satisfying end to their dance around each other. this is everything they’ve ever wanted. to be honest, even if they hadn’t gotten pushed to the brink by puffer, droid would’ve still ended up taking care of pezzy as he always has, and vice versa. droid’s right about one thing, that pezzy will never be able to get rid of him easily. he’ll always be there, whether he wants to, consciously or not. that’s just how powerful their orbits are to each other.
i adapt to you, you adapt to me.
i wake you up with coffee and toast, and you come lay me down and soothe my soul.
