Grian, who wanted nothing more than to forget his Watcher past, was quite happy not to be worshipped at all. So when the Hermits collectively started praying to Xelqua and Grian started to gain a lot of Watcher magic, it put a real damper on his mood, health, self-perception and his relationships. With Mumbo gone off-world, it was now up to Scar, Pearl and Xisuma to worry about him – if Grian would let them. But Grian was nothing if not stubborn. He’d get through this alone, right?

Summary
Deciding when it was necessary to be little vs when it was needed to be big was still an area Etho was figuring out. Especially when some of the hermits (Bdubs and Gem) were still helping him get comfortable with voluntary regression as it came to being small for fun and de-stressing. When was it unnecessary? How did he know when he actually needed it, given he wasn’t really in any high stress situations? There wasn't anything to worry about now that the life series was over.
Unfortunately, Etho didn’t have answers. And he still wasn’t getting any closer to finishing his base (which by now, he’d given up on). Working made him want to flop over and cease to exist, only coaxing on the desire for distraction and procrastination. Which, that was another thing. When was regressing just a form of escapism? Escapism from the little things. When was it pointless or distracting or keeping him from getting through his day?

Or, Etho overthinks matters of regressing yet again, and this time Xisuma helps him through said concerns and confusions.
