The thin red line that marks a jagged edge on Izzy's forehead is a mystery that's just too good to ignore. From where he sits, turned ever so slightly to the side, it’s very visible to Lucius’s curious eyes. Sure, the missing leg and haunted expression to match the rest of the Leather Crew from Ed's Kraken Era are interesting enough-if disturbing-but Lucius knows about those things.
He thinks.
Admittedly, nobody's really gotten Jim, Archie (who Lucius is a little intimidated by), Fang, Frenchie, or Izzy to talk about their time under Blackbeard's sole employment, but Lucius thinks he can imagine. Ivan is gone, to where nobody will tell him. When he’d asked, Fang had burst into tears."
Listen, I know this sounds super dramatic, but in truth it's pretty damn soft. I wrote it for my brain to take a break from being stressed, so hopefully it'll do that for yours, too.
