Summary
Maru is in a bit of pickle; she has to do a project for her application to grad school, however in order for the project to be accepted she must do an experiment with evidence surrounding the theme. She chose ‘quality of life improval’, so all she has to do is convince one or two people to let her record their lives so she can make a machine that makes those people’s lives easier, thus getting into grad school and having access to research grants and an actual tech lab in the city. Unfortunately, with a town that has the population of 30 (including her), Maru doesn’t have many options. But nothing will stop her from completing this project.
Sam was an easy choice. Reliant, kind, slightly gullible, and in need of the cash. However for her second subject, she sets her sights on Shane, the town drunkard, whose life she desperately believes needs to be improved. Maybe she can unlock his full potential while she’s at it.
But Shane isn’t the only one who is missing out on parts of life, and through what starts as a beneficial agreement for all three of them turns out to be the start to a change in life that they never saw coming.
