Scar... I killed him... I did it... Where am I? I'm back? In the void? Right... I'm a watcher after all. I have to watch. At least until I can free us all.
Unlike usual. There is a chair maybe a throne. Grian sits. It's comfy. Not what he's used to. Usually in the void he just floats and back in Third Life he sat on sand chairs, sand beds or the sand ground. He lived in the desert after all. In the desert with Scar. At least they were happy together no matter what they had.
A figure looms behind Grian with another not far away. He knew exactly who it was, not bothering to even give them a glance.
Watcher 1 - "Hello Xequla. You enjoyed your little game? You see how emotions are annoying. You miss him. You felt something towards that mortal. You should allow us to turn you into a full watcher. Lose those emotions of yours and join us."
Grian - "I'm sorry but I'll have to turn down your request. Emotions aren't a bad thing. They just- I dunno."
Watcher 2 - "To bad. I guess you shall go through another season of this if you want to escape."
Grian - "So when is it?"
Watcher 1 - "Whenever you want."
Watcher 2 - "To make it more interesting, why not we change it up this next game."
Watcher 1 - "Ooo, like add a new mechanic to the game."
Watcher 2 - "That's a wonderful idea! A new mechanic. Xequla, what do you think the new mechanic should be?"
Grian - "I dunno. Don't ask me."
Watcher 1 - "What about some randomness? Like you get a random amount of lives and maybe a random player gets selected to kill another!"
Grian - "What? How would that work?"
Watcher 2 - "I see what you're thinking. Maybe every player starts with 1 - 5 lives."
Watcher 1 - "Hmmm... 1 - 5 might be a bit low. I was thinking that each session a random player has to kill another so there wouldn't be enough lives if that happened."
Watcher 2 - "2 - 6?"
Watcher 1 - "I think that's reasonable"
Grian - "It's that a bit... mean? Like what if I get 2 lives?"
Watcher 2 - "Eh. I mean, what if you get 6 and everyone else gets 2. Maybe we can add that you can gift lives. Everyone will be begging each other for lives."
Watcher 1 - "That's perfect! Xequla, what do you think?"
Grian - "I don't care..."
Watcher 2 - "Why not you come up with a different mechanic for each life series. Then you can tell us and we'll get it to happen."
Watcher 1 - "We'll do that for the rest of the games."
Grian doesn't care. He just wants it to be over. He just wants to free his friends. He just wants to help.
He listens to the other watchers blab on for a while until the next game comes up. Last Life. This will definitely be something.
