   Here, Xie Lian was at a bit of a loss. What was he willing to risk, for the possibility of finding Wu Ming? “I am truly humble. I own nothing but the clothes on my back. All I have to bet is myself and my time, I suppose. Would twenty years of service suffice?”
   The crowd exploded into commentary again. Truly, this seemed to be quite the spectator event.
   “Work him hard, Chengzhu!” someone shouted.
   “I see what that sly daozhang is getting at,” someone else commented. “He is pretty, however. Hopefully Chengzhu gets good use out of him.”
