“James? Mate, are you alright?”
Normally, James Potter was quite good at keeping his cool. Actually, he was often seen as the friend to go to to figure out a difficult situation. The friend who could come up with solutions and solve problems.
But in this moment, James really wouldn’t have been able to cope with even the tiniest of issues. Because he currently had one set of lips kissing over his jawline, nipping at his earlobe and sucking at his neck, while the other set worked in tandem, pressing light kisses over his stomach and chest.
“Er…what?” he asked stupidly into the phone, completely unsure if he was even talking into the right end. He was proud of himself for only gasping slightly when a hand moved to his waist.
“Boys night this Friday? Just us four? I was thinking a bar?”
“Er, right, Sirius. A movie. Sounds great,” James panted, already reaching to end the call.
“But I said-”
But it was too late. The phone clicked and he turned to gaze into two pairs of eyes, both of whom were sending him suggestive and heated glances.
“Funny,” he said, but he was grinning, already heading to the other room. “Care to continue?”
Chuckling, Regulus and Lily followed behind him.

“I….don’t get it,” the bloke at the bar repeated stupidly, eyes narrowed.
Regulus sighed. It wasn’t the first time he’d had to explain the dynamic of his relationship to a stranger, but it didn’t make it any easier.
“That’s my girlfriend,” he said slowly, explaining for the fourth time, pointing to where Lily was dancing in the crowd, a giant grin on her face. “And that is my boyfriend.” He moved his hand to point to James, who was enthusiastically moving next to her, flailing his arms and staring at her adoringly. “They’re also dating each other.”
The bloke nodded, face full of confusion. “And you’re not mad? That they’re doing…that?” he gestured to the two on the dance floor, just in time for Regulus to look over and catch a glimpses of them kissing.
“Well, I’m a bit mad I’m not there to join them,” he sighed, eyeing the three drinks on the bar he was supposed to be bringing back to his partners before he’d gotten distracted.
“Okay, but why can’t you dance with me, then?” the guys asked, eyes full of lust.
But Regulus had just about had it. “Because. Even if we weren’t monogamous, I don’t find stupid people who don’t take no for an answer attractive.”
And, leaving the angry man sputtering, he walked over to James and Lily, kissing them both soundly.

“What the fuck?” Sirius shouted, standing in the doorway of the flat, eyes wide. “What are you two doing?”
Regulus, who was sat squarely on James’s lap, shirt nowhere in sight, blinked. “Well…this is…incriminating,” he murmured, lips quirking in a smile.
But James looked scared.
“Guys, how could you do this to Lily? Where is she? How many lies have you told her? Oh Merlin, our whole friend group is going to-” Sirius started to yell and panic, throwing his arms in the air. But he was cut off by the redhead entering the room, wearing nothing but a sports bra and underwear.
“Alright, boys, I have popcorn! Remember, I chose a sad movie so lots of cudd-” she sang, stopping short when she saw Sirius. “Oh.”
Sirius eyes became so wide that they could have popped out of his head.
“I suppose you have questions, then,” James said in a small voice, gently, removing Regulus from his lap.
“Just a few,” Sirius mumbled, sitting tiredly in a chair.
