Shane rolled his eyes and tilted his head back, ready to chirp back with a teasing grin on his face. Instead, he didn't even have time to acknowledge Ilya's body tensing under his touch that his husband was snapping at their friend.
"Блять, Wyatt, can you just let this go for a day? Fuck!" His voice boomed through the room and Shane flinched at the anger in his words. At the sudden change of tone.
The silence that dropped in the room was deafening. Ilya was red in the face, half turned towards Hayes as he breathed hard. His hold on Shane's hand tightened and it felt almost protective in a way Ilya hadn't had to be in almost a year now.
or: Ilya has reached the limit of how many times his teammates can tease him about loving his husband so loudly.
