Work Text:
Jason his behind the edge of the doorway and listened carefully for the people inside. He knew they were in there, having seen them enter the warehouse. Both of them were unknowns which made him particularly uncomfortable considering one of them had a cybernetic arm and the other carried a bow and arrows. Ones that looked very similar to the ones that Green Arrow and Arsenal carried. Which meant either copycat or a new rogue.
"We'll figure it out, Bucky," the archer said. "I'm sure we'll find our way home. Or someone will come to get us."
"I don't know," Bucky said. "Something about this feels a lot more permanent than other times."
"It does. But we have to get home. We still have to meet our third."
Their third? They had to be talking about meeting a third soulmate. That didn't make any sense to Jason. There was no sign of a goose so how could they know they had a third? Unless they were talking about getting home to another dimension that did soulmates a different way.
Jason's hand instinctively drifted to his side where the two marks that no one had been able to explain.
"HONK!"
A goose popped out of the air right next to him and started attacking him. He yelped an fell through the door as the goose continued it's attack.
The sounds of a gun being drawn and a bow string were still heard to him over the angry goose hissing.
"GET IT OFF!" he yelled.
Suddenly the goose was picked up and then vanished. Jason looked and saw the baffled face of Bucky.
"What was that?"
"Soulmate goose," Jason said. "It appears if you aren't going to talk to your soulmate."
"I think you're right about not going home," the archer said.
