Summary
Mickey wasn’t ever expecting to see him again. Not after Mickey’s farce of a wedding to a Russian hooker, after Mickey told him to leave and never come back. Mickey was scared, he knows that intimately now just how scared he was about how he felt about Ian but even now he wishes he ran away with him when he asked. At least they would’ve had each other. Ian was the first home that Mickey knew so it’s no surprise that Mickey, in a brilliant show of self-destruction, broke Ian’s heart and made him cry.

Where Mickey ends their relationship at the wedding and Ian decides to channel his heartbreak into West Point and the army. This is just an idea that came to my mind like an hour ago and I had to write it. Basic premise is that Ian went to the army legally and married Mandy to take care of her, they live a happy life and shit because they deserve it. They go to Terry's funeral (not sure if there would actually be a funeral but it's an important plot point dude to let me have it, this is my fan fic so sod you) and Mandy tells Mickey to buck up and stop being a coward.
Basically this is four thousand words of Angsty Mickey, Soft Mandy and Caretaker Ian.
