Chapter Text

Rebecca de Winter had never wanted children, especially not Max’s children, but as she handed her newly born daughter off to the midwife, she supposed she would have to cope with it somehow. Her first order of business was naming her. She would not allow Max to take that choice from her.

She had been rereading Pride and Prejudice recently, enjoying the supporting players so much more than Lizzie and Darcy. They were far too dull. She would much rather the novel be centered around the youngest Bennet sister and her wild escapades.

Lydia de Winter; how elegant that sounded.
