Chapter Text
On their first day together, officially as boyfriends, Tweek thought that something might change between them, and that scared him a little. Maybe the way they talked, the moments they shared, or the late-night messages. He didn’t want to lose any of that.
He had always liked the relationship he had with Craig. As friends, they managed to understand each other and have fun in their own way. It was special, different from any other relationship. They had their own world, one that only they understood. There was magic and meaning in every word and action they shared.
Their knowing smiles and secretive glances were just theirs, no one else’s. The hugs in the dark, the nights spent lying next to each other, telling stories and quietly laughing.
They were walking to their houses, closer than usual. Their arms brushed against each other constantly. Tweek felt a nervous excitement, but he didn’t mind. It was a kind of happiness that made him smile, that made him want to stop time and savor every second a little longer. He glanced to his side. Craig seemed just as nervous; Tweek could see the way he subtly bit his lower lip and how his eyes wandered over everything on the path instead of focusing on a single spot.
Contrary to what Tweek had feared, the day passed by normally, as calmly as any other. Craig was still the same as always; so was he.
The only difference had been the kiss they shared when they said goodbye. A soft touch between their lips that left him wanting a little more. They still had a whole lifetime ahead of them, but now they enjoyed their first day together, one that would never happen again.
Tweek would be lying if he said he didn’t notice how the day seemed brighter, and the air felt warmer.
