Red was staring at the pocket watch in her hand laying on the bed of the person of whom she was waiting for, watching the hands slowly move around its face listening to the calming sounds of the gears clicking and chiming.
Its brings a smile to her face as her memories playback the events that just over a Month ago, when she traveled back to the Days Auradon Prep was still being called Merlin Academy, her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of door handle being moved up and down as if the person was checking to see if it was locked.
Her smile still gracing her features as she looks at the watch one last time before sticking it in her pocket “ She's Late” Red mumble to herself as she sits up on the bed in a straightened and regal Posture as the door finally creaks open and her Roommate finally walks in with her Blue Hair tied into a Messy Bun the smile never leaving Reds face as she clears her throat and adopts a tone that is both stern and playful.
CHLOE CHARMING WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN! YOU ARE LATE!!
Red Laughs softly as she watches her roommate , her best friend , Jump in surprise at the sudden voice breaking the silence “ RED! Why would you do that ! “ Chloe responses in a mock anger and slightly frazzled voice turning to face her tormentor who now has a cheshire grin on her face
Do what exactly? Ask you where you have been ? or tell you that you were late coming back by 10 minutes ?!?! like who does that if it was any later and i might have thought something Happened OR that you were avoiding me” Red answered back giving Chloe a wink as she got up off the bed wrapping her arms around the Princess giving her a welcome back hug.
Chloe smiles while shaking her head and rolling her eyes as she returns Reds hug “ well to answer your questions its Wednesday you know i had Swords and shield training I just got a bit distracted and I just lost track of time I’m sorry?” Chloe says questionably raising an eyebrow as they separated from their hug
“OOOH thats right you did have Swords today, but even then 10 minutes is awfully late, just text next time Boo and besides i have something to give you which is the real reason i was waiting for you” Red turned and walked over to her side of the room and grabbed two sealed letters off of her Black Cherry Wooden desk “ Maddox had Told me to be on the lookout for these and also give you one “ Red handed Chloe a Letter “ i'm Assuming that one goes to you since it has Blue wax on it” Chloe took it and inspected the seal It was indeed blue wax with the Crest of a heart with a Crown on top and two scepters next to the heart.
Chloe looked up at red who was holding her own letter that was sealed with Red wax “ so what are these? Red rolls her eyes “ well Princess these just so happen to be Personally Written or atleast Magically Dictated Letters from the Queen of Hearts herself and I know That .”
“Because Only my Mother uses that particular crest , so whatever these say she wrote them herself instead of letting Maddox write them, cause he has his own crest his has the letter M with a top Hat under the point of the M.”
Chloe once again looked down at the letter down in her hand and pulled it open and once opened the disembodied and Gentle Voice of the Queen began reading
“ Dear , Chloe How wonderful it is that you and Red are Roommates I knew The Two of you would be besties in school , I remember When your Mom wrote to me shortly after you were born.
She was So Excited and over the moon In Love with you so i baked her some cookies and sent them to her, and ask her to hold an unbirthday tea party in your honor, as we did here in Wonderland it was so fun and even Red was giddy about it , The Queen is heard letting out a sigh before her voice continues I regret that the two of you didn't see more of each other earlier in life But I Digress it has occurred to me that you never had the chance to Visit Wonderland So as The Queen Regnant I cordially Invite you Her Royal Highness Princess Chloe The Grand Duchess of Cinderellasburg to Come to the Palace for your Mid-Term Break from Auradon Prep, Sincerely Yours The Queen of Hearts. P.S. How is swords and shields going for you? heard you are quite the competitor Any who sorry for the Formalities it was needed.” after the voice disappeared Chloe Look back at red with a confused look “What was that about?”
Red Sighed not sure “ That was the Polite Way to put a Royal Summons, Which Means My Mom is planning something “Red continues as she looks down at her own letter “ Which means i know what this going to be about” Chloe gave her Friend a comforting and supportive Look “well open it cause im still a little Confused about whats going on .”
Red took a deep breath and Muttered " Fine lets get this over with" as she finally broke the Seal opening the Letter and once again the warm and comforting voice of Bridget is heard.
“ Greetings My Precious little Rose , Im aware that your Mid-Term Break is coming up in two days of this letter being delivered which is great timing, cause you'll be Home for your Birthday which Also Means that you'll be here for our Annual Meeting and we have much to discuss this year My Love, I also Invited Chloe to come with you … Scratch that Inviting would imply I gave her a choice. I kinda gave her a Royal order, So Hopefully having your Bestie here will mean that you will actually be focused on the task at Hand and be productive. I get the Feeling that you will be, and also it's in the cards. I love you Red and I look forward to seeing you and Chloe again.. Sincerely Mom P.S. I almost forgot to tell you that I received the last painting you sent me, It is Very Beautiful I enjoyed the way you blended your paints. and by the way, tell Chloe that I already cleared everything with Ella and she was supportive of the idea of her coming here So YOU have nowhere to go but home.” and once more Bridget’s Voice Vanished, leaving Red and Chloe to their Thoughts..
“ So that actually happened right? “ Chloe asked Red breaking the Silence “ Care to Fill in the Blanks? CauseI Still a little confused here" yes I know i still have Royal Duties and Obligations to uphold being the Grand Duchess and all But with Chad being the Heir Apparent For our Family i dont have as many .” Red nod her head “ Oh How I Envy you Boo, In Wonderland Like here with the other Royal Families I Have My Own Royal Duties and Obligations that i tried to avoid for example before our travel through time that included executions , But with the Changes It seems like its more Traditional that i still tried to avoid” Chloe steps a little closer to Red grasping her hand and giving it a gentle squeeze encouraging her to continue.
“so what's Basically Happening Is My Mom Is Calling court in Wonderland which will Gather the Representatives all across the Wonderlandian Kingdom , and With Our Moms Being Besties Your mom holds a seat in her court “ Chloe keeps listening as a thought occurs to her “ That's Why She Invoked My Titles even though Im the “Spare” Royal cause I can Substitute for anyone In Any Official Acts which include Meetings in Foreign Lands.”
Red Nods verifying Chloe thought “ and that's why she said she Cleared it with Queen Ella cause of your Royal Position you would be the last Person they would ask, again i Envy Boo , Cause not only am I the Heir but I also inherited the position My Mom held when she was still the That Pink Haired Baking Machine we met at Merlin Academy.”
Chloe Smiled at Red giving her Hand Another Squeeze “ Soo off we go to Wonderland? Cause I always wondered what it would be like there.
Red Couldn't help But Smile “ Seems Like we have little choice so , Maybe i'll introduce you to the JabberWocky, seems my mom isnt the only Change there.
