Emily’s eyes lit up like stars as she took her first sip of coffee. Sighing with happiness, she said, "I don't know what this is, but it's wonderful!" Lucifer gave his daughter an amused look. "It's coffee. Try this too; it's pancakes." Emily seemed to melt into her seat as she took her first bite. "Are you going to tell us what happened last night?" Angel asked queasily, taking a deep sip of his coffee. "I found out that Lilith made a deal with Adam and approved the extermination!" Charlie spat out, angry tears forming in the corners of her eyes. Both Husker and Angel exchanged looks as Charlie referred to her mother by name but decided not to say anything. "Emily, sweetheart, be a dear and take over from Charlie," Alastor requested as Lucifer embraced his daughter, wiping the tears from her eyes. Just like the night before, Emily explained everything. She deliberately left out the parts about Charlie and herself been sisters; and Alastor and Lucifer had been married. "I am too sober for this shit," Husker muttered under his breath, taking a gulp from the whiskey bottle in front of him. "So let me get this straight," Angel began. "Smiles here sold his soul to the Queen of Hell and could turn on us at any point." "That would be true if His Majesty hadn't broken my deal with Lilith," Alastor gestured in Lucifer's direction. Charlie and Vaggie exchanged surprised looks, both wondering when Lucifer had the opportunity to free Alastor from his contract. “Does that mean you can free me from my contract with that psycho Val?" Angel questioned with narrowed eyes. "I guess I could," Lucifer said thoughtfully, wiping his mouth clean and getting up. Just like what had happened to Alastor the night before, a chain appeared around Angel's neck. Taking a step forward, Lucifer broke the chain around his neck. Angel fell to his knees, gasping for breath, looking at the deal he had made with Valentino turning into dust. “Alastor, Angel,” Lucifer began, “you are all forbidden from telling anyone that I freed Alastor and Angel from their contracts.” “Don’t worry, Short King, we won’t,” Angel said, winking at Lucifer. Alastor frowned at Angel in disapproval as he flirted with Lucifer, but said nothing. "Sir Pentious and Ms. Cherri Bomb have been redeemed!" Everyone started celebrating. Angel breathed a sigh of relief; he thought his friend had been killed in a turf war. While everyone was celebrating, Charlie took Alastor aside. "Don't you think it's time you freed Husker from his contract with you?" Charlie asked, biting her lip nervously. Alastor gave Charlie a thoughtful look before nodding in agreement. "Husker, my good man, a word if you please," Alastor said. Husker grumbled under his breath. "What does that psycho want now?" Husker thought bitterly. Husker opened his mouth to say something, but Alastor beat him to it. "I have decided to change the terms of our contract." Husker looked at Alastor in disbelief before growling under his breath, “Whatever those terms are, I ain't interested.” Husker turned to walk back to the group but stopped when he felt the firm grip of Alastor’s claws on his shoulder. “You have no say in the matter.” Husker sighed, crossing his arms across his chest as he turned around to face his master. “I am willing to release you from your contract. You will get your soul back, including your power and the souls you owned.” Husker narrowed his eyes in suspicion. “What is the catch?” “The catch, my dear Husker, is that if you decide to gamble your soul again, everything I returned to you will return to me. Do we have a deal?” Husker shrugged; he had already lost everything; what else did he have to lose? “Deal,” Husker said as the room glowed green. Husker gasped in shock. He felt the chains around his neck break as everything he lost to Alastor returned. “It was a pleasure doing business with you,” Alastor said before returning to the group.
Later that morning, Lucifer approached Charlie and Vaggie, saying in a somber voice, “I found a way for Alastor and myself to get our memories back.” “That’s wonderful, Dad!” Charlie said, jumping up and down in her excitement as she hugged Lucifer. Gently pushing his daughter off him, he continued, “We need the hotel to be empty, just the two of us. That’s why I arranged a team-building event, a day at the beach in The Gluttony Ring.” “I understand. I hope you can find those missing memories,” Charlie said, gently holding her father’s hand. Turning to Vaggie, she said in a flirtatious voice, “I can’t wait to see you in a bikini!” causing Vaggie to blush. “Now let’s go tell the others we’re going to be spending a day at the beach de-stressing!”
Both Alastor and Lucifer agreed to meet in the library once everyone had left for the Gluttony ring. Alastor sat by the window; he felt both anxious and nervous, wondering, ever since they first met, he had seen Lucifer as a verbal sparring partner, someone who could give as good as they got. Finding out that Lucifer and Charlie were his family was something he found unnerving. Hopefully, getting his memories back would help. Hearing footsteps, he stood up straight, hiding his true feelings behind a mask of indifference. “Ah, Lucifer. Have you acquired the necessary information?” Lucifer rolled his eyes at this comment but decided to ignore it. Sighing, Lucifer said, “We need an open space to do this spell; we may have to move to the dance studio.” “That won’t be necessary,” Alastor said indifferently, leaning on his cane. “I will simply move the furniture against the wall.” Lucifer threw his hands in the air in frustration, opening the book to the right page. “Fine, let’s begin.” Alastor nodded as they both lay down on the floor; everything went black as Lucifer recited the spell.
Alastor-P.O.V.
Alastor groaned in pain, cursing Lucifer. Opening his eyes, he found himself seated under a tree in the bayou. Getting up, he looked around to see himself feeding one of his victims to the swamp alligators. Funny, he didn’t remember killing the local pastor;
