"Alec, please eat your food. You can play with the trucks later," Tess asked.
"No, not hungry," He mumbled looking away from her and the food looking at the television. " Trucks and Paw Patrol," He crossed his arms and pouted.
"Please love, at least eat some of your strawberries," She sat down besides him. "You can play if you eat your fruit," she smiled lightly. He grumbled but turned around to face his plate again. "Thank you!" She praised.
After Alec finished his strawberries Tess was expecting to put the rest of the food up for later. Instead he took a bite of his sandwich. "I knew you were hungry. Why do you have to be such a stubborn little boy?" She chuckled and patted his head.
"Mmhmn not stubborn, want trucks," He mumbled.
"Don't talk with food in your mouth," Tess reminded. "You can play with them when you finish eating," She promised him.
"Trucks," Alec said when he finished eating
Tess sighed. "Yes go play with your trucks. I'll put Paw Patrol on in a minute," She let Alec get out of his seat to go into the living room. "Now see, you eat and you get your trucks," Tess came in from the kitchen turning on the TV.
Alec only nodded not really paying attention. "Paw'trol," He muttered loud enough for her to hear.
"I know, I know the TV has to load," She replied.
The rest of the afternoon went well. Alec playing with his trucks and watching Paw Patrol for about an hour or two before climbing on the sofa with Tess. "Oh, someone getting sleepy?" She placed a hand on his head. He shook his head no and layed his head on her shoulder. "Of course not, how silly of me." She chuckled. "Well we'll just lay here for a bit anyways. Have some quite time," She whispered rubbing his back.
Tess was right 20 minutes later and Alec was out like a light.
