Bill woke up to an empty bed and groaned. Alec must have woken up and went back to work in their at home office. He got up to convince his husband back to bed again. But before heading to the office he hears a familiar voice from the TV. He entered the living room to see Alec curled under a big blue blanket on the couch. He was staring tiredly at the TV. "You know I think it's kind of late at night for puppies and you," Bill whispered as he sat down besides Alec on the couch.
"Sorry," The Scott mumbled not looking away from the TV "tried not wake you up," He said.
"It's okay, I'm glad I did wake up. What's bothering you hun?" Bill placed a hand on Alec's back and rubbed it.
"Nigh'mare," He muttered back quietly tears filling his eyes at the memory of the dream.
"Oh hun, I'm sorry, You want to talk about it?" Bill asked.
"Camp and Joe go bye bye," He said breaking down into tears.
"They'll be back tomorrow. They just were staying with Aziraphale and Crowley cause it's so late," Bill picked up Alec and placed him on his lap.
"What if somethin' happens to them? What if there's a bad guy?" Alec looked at Bill and oh it broke his heart.
"I promise hun nothing will happen. Crowley is to scary for anyone to even think about harming them," He rubbed Alec's back. " You know Aziraphale said he normally doesn't sleep. Do you want to text him and ask just to double check on them?" Bill asked and Alec's eyes lit up and he shook his head yes happily. "My phone is in the bedroom. Do you want me to carry you or stay here or walk?" He told the (mentally) little boy.
"Papa carry me?" Alec asked and wrapped his arms around Bill's shoulder.
"Of course little love," Bill smiled and stood up with Alec in his arms. " Now we are just going to have a quick conversation. It is very very late and we need to get some more sleep," Bill said as he sat down on the bed with Alec sat in his lap once again.
"Mmhm," Alec placed his head on Bill's shoulder and nodded in agreement.
'Hi Aziraphale, sorry to bother you but we just wanted to check in on Campbell and Joe.' Bill texted.
They sat there for a minute. Alec was obviously very tired but Bill knew they both would sleep better if they knew for sure Campbell and Joe.
'You dear's are never a bother. Campbell and Joe are sound asleep in the spare room.' Aziraphale replied.
'Okay thank you, text me when they are heading home please? We're going to try and get a little more sleep.' Bill thanked.
'Of course dear, you two have wonderful sleep.' Aziraphale replied before Bill sat his phone back on the nightstand.
Alec was already basically asleep drooling on Bill's shoulder. "Come on hun, let's lay down correctly. Campbell and Joe are safe," Bill laid down hold Alec.
As Aziraphale whished they did in fact have wonderful dreams.
