"Oh, no," Xie Lian laughs, patting Mu Qing's shoulder. "We're perfectly fine. We decided to have an open relationship."
"And you want to add me to that 'open relationship'?" Mu Qing asks suspiciously.
"Yes!" Xie Lian says, bouncing on his toes. "I know you don't like San Lang or Feng Xin very much, but you won't have to be together with them. Just me."
"Feng Xin is involved?!" Mu Qing asks incredulously.
"Yes, we started holding hands sometimes after talking about it last week," Xie Lian says, blushing. "It's very nice."
Gears visibly turn in Mu Qing's head. The embarrassment of being romantically involved with someone versus the idea of being romantically involved with Xie Lian… plus the opportunity to one-up Feng Xin...
"Yes," he says firmly at last.
Xie Lian beams. "Great!" he says, and tackles his new partner in a hug.
