Seasons changed swiftly in Shen Qingqiu’s secluded life with his beloved wife, Luo Binghe. Each season brought new dishes to Shen Qingqiu’s taste as Luo Binghe experimented with the trends. So as autumn bloomed into the present, the dishes became pumpkin-flavored and hearty meats. Often, Shen Qingqiu would sit silently enjoying the sweet treats of autumn, inwardly praising her wife at each bite.
She missed her wife.
In truth, Luo Binghe was gone from their palace. For a week every month, Luo Binghe would disappear. She would leave plenty of treats for Shen Qingqiu while she was gone, but Shen Qingqiu would much rather have her wife.
Shen Qingqiu sighed, What should I do today, then? Roam the halls and cry until she returns? When Shen Qingqiu would ask where Luo Binghe had gone, she would go quiet and refuse to answer. So, each time, Shen Qingqiu would worry a little more.
Night came soon, a pale moon hung in the sky beautifully. Shen Qingqiu sat by an open window, practicing calligraphy with only the light of a tiny candle and the moon to guide her. She wore a comfy bedtime robe, knowing soon she would have to slumber. She was hesitant to sleep without her needy wife spooning her tightly all night.
She gazed out upon the moon, feeling the cool breeze of the night caress her skin. Then, a hand grabbed onto the window stool. Shen Qingqiu jumped, but then soon realized it was Luo Binghe, as she pulled herself up. Luo Binghe seemed in a daze, confused. Shen Qingqiu helped her in.
“Where have you been? You need to start telling me where you run off to every month!”
But Luo Binghe was still looking around, as if she didn’t recognize where she was. She seemed pale. When she saw Shen Qingqiu, she seemed to come back to her senses, and panicked.
“I shouldn’t be here-”
“Nonsense! Wash up and come to bed with me. You’re back early and I’m glad.”
“No,” Luo Binghe seemed to be shaking, “I need to go.” But before she could turn away and leave, Shen Qingqiu grabbed her hand. She noticed how her wife’s claws seemed longer than usual. Not only that, but she seemed to shiver with the touch.
“Shizun, please let me go.” Shen Qingqiu was really nervous now. Shen Qingqiu let her hand go.
“What’s wrong, Binghe?”
“I can’t control myself…your flesh…”
Now Shen Qingqiu was really confused. What about my flesh?! Did you turn into some damn zombie?
“Shizun, I want to bite you so bad…”
Shen Qingqiu was really going through a range of emotions now.
“You bite me all the time.” You beast. “Why now are you so… strange?”
Luo Binghe grabbed her head, “No, you don't get it…” She seemed to be in pain just from looking at Shen Qingqiu, and Shen Qingqiu hated seeing her wife in pain.
“I-I need your blood.”
Shen Qingqiu just sighed. She didn’t want to see her wife in pain anymore. She walked over to the bed and sat down, undoing the top half of her robe, exposing herself.
“Luo Binghe.”
She looked over, hands still gripping her head, saliva trickling down her mouth like a beast. She stared in awe.
“Come here.”
Luo Binghe obeyed, crawling on top of her wife with a hungry look. Shen Qingqiu laid back; neck exposed. She couldn’t stop thinking about how beautiful her wife looked in the glow of the moon.
“Bite me.”
She found herself grabbing Luo Binghe’s waist as she leaned forward. Shen Qingqiu closed her eyes, bracing for impact. She could feel Luo Binghe’s fangs press against her skin, hesitating, before committing and biting deep into her neck. Shen Qingqiu groaned out in pain, but soon it dulled, as if some kind of anesthetic was flushed into her bloodstream. Surprisingly, it became somewhat pleasurable. And Luo Binghe was being gentle with her, drinking her blood slowly.
She wanted to touch her wife even more, but Shen Qingiu was growing sleepy. Before she realized, she passed out under her wife.
❣❤❣
She woke up with her wife at the foot of the bed, holding a tray of delicious meat stew. Her neck was unbelievably sore, wincing rising up. Luo Binghe sat the tray on the nightstand.
“I’m sorry, Shizun! I couldn’t control myself and took too much…” Shen Qingqiu dismissed her with a wave of her hand.
“It’s alright, Binghe. I’m just glad you’re home.” Luo Binghe’s eyes seemed to sparkle with that last part. Shen Qingqiu felt her heart race, seeing her wife so happy — that or it was her heart battling with her new-found anemia.
My wife is a fucking vampire!
End.
