Summary
In a world where food is poorly managed and often dredged by starvation, Scar leaves his planet often where the space travel is plentiful, and the other peoples on those ships make excellent meals.
However, he ends up on the wrong ship, a human prison locked in a forced time loop that resets each time everyone on board perishes, a frequent occurance when the ship is riddled with traps and tripwires and pressure plates designed to end the lives of the unwilling partipants. The only escape is waiting the duration of their ten year sentence, or solving the intricate escape room over months of inprisonment, and with only each other for company, it's far more likely Cub and Cleo kill each other before the ship kills them. With the addition of an extremely hostile Scar, getting along will be far more of a challenge than the puzzles they need to solve.
Maybe it's not a bad thing. After five years of hitting your head against a wall and being driven to madness by the dire states of your own company (or lacktherof), murder feels like a much better pastime.
