“Here, why don’t we go out together tonight?” Ryan suggests, moving his hands back to his own chair, “We only have, like, one more scene left to shoot today then we’re done. I’ll take you to one of those karaoke rooms.”
“I just said —“
“I know what you just said,” he interrupts, “But it’ll just be me, and I’ll be singing along with you. It might help ease your nerves for when it’s time to actually get to that scene.”
Oliver takes a moment, flicks through all the tens of thousands of reasons why he definitely shouldn’t be spending time alone with Ryan, and then, because he’s weak, says: “Fine. But you’re paying.”
After Oliver expresses his concerns about the karaoke scene, Ryan takes him out to practice and get over his fears. Somehow, it just makes things worse.
