    Tommy is going crazy; he has to be losing his mind. After Tubbo and his friendship ended before the summer, they haven’t spoken a word to each other. Tommy stays in his home pretty much alone all summer, while Tubbo leaves town for a trip. When Tubbo returns from summer vacation with his family, he acts differently. It’s the little things that only Tommy notices. His smile is too wide; his laugh is too strained; and his eyes are too dark. Tommy knows in his heart that’s not the person that used to be his best friend.

    And why does it love Tommy more than the old Tubbo ever did?

    Inspired by The Summer That Hikaru Died, Tubbo dies and is possessed by a monster during a family vacation. Tommy is the only one that can see past the monster’s near perfect deceptions. However, that monster is fond of him, and Tommy can’t help but crave its affections. In a way, he’s gotten his best friend back.

    He just hopes no one else notices that something is inhabiting Tubbo’s body.

    Something that has an iron grip on Tommy… and he’s not sure if he wants it to let go of him.
