Chapter Text

The sun cast golden rays against the sharp tiled pavement, the soft clack of boots ringing around the school. Crowly burst into the staff room with a much too-happy grin for this early morning. Trein flopped against a desk, his tired face worn, the years of teaching catching up to him. It was shocking the man was still a teacher, it had been almost 2 decades since that odd little human appeared randomly at orientation, sadly they never did figure out how to send them home, but Yuu didn't have many complaints after all he was now co-ruler of briar valley, married to the great mage/king malleus. The new year was approaching quickly and there were still many things to do, so Crowly strode up to the walking dinosaur and grabbed his shoulders, dragging him from the desk, this year shall be an interesting one!

Malleus was awoken by a soft trill, shifting within his bedding he turned over to see his daughter's green reptilian eyes glaring back at him,

“Father! Wake up!”

The king groaned, turning over, flopping his arm over his husband, and tucking his head away into his human back, the young woman whined,

“Father-, please wake up! I go to NRC in 3 days! Please!”

Malleus puffs out a cloud of smoke, his tail thrashing angrily,

“Mhnnm, couldn't you go to a different school?... I don't trust that clown with a stick, let alone my only heir”

Yuu giggled, the young man flipping over to press kisses over Malleus's head, dusting over his horns,

“Now, now Hornton, I agree, but it's your daughter's decree, don't worry Melnior, I'll get you father up~ go have breakfast, we’ll see you when we come upstairs”

The young woman lit up, scurrying out of the room, shooting down the hallway, weaving past servants and maids, till her shoulder collided with Sebek, the tall guard gave a warm smile, his wide bulky frame hard to miss.

“Good morning lady Melnior, where are you off to in such a rush?”

The dragonette grinned, her tail swishing,

“I'm going to have breakfast uncle! Father and Dad are waking up!”

The green-haired guard nodded softly, letting the exuberant princess run off.

This year would be great, she just felt it!

“Floyd! Dear have you seen Alex’s bag!? I can't seem to find it!”

The tall eel poked his head out of the kitchen, his small, redheaded husband stressing out, rushing over the house looking for the school bag. The teel-haired man walked up, grabbing his goldfish by the shoulders, pressing a soft warm kiss onto his lips,

“Relax~ Its ok kingyo-chan~”

The redhead seemed to melt at his husband's soothing, leaning into the taller’s arms,

“I apologize, I'm just worried, you know I truly dislike that school”

Floyd smiled, his warm goofy grin silencing all nevers that sprung up along his spine.

“He’ll be ok~ we taught him well, he’ll be fine~”

Just as the ex-house warden calmed their son walked in with his little sister,

“Ew! Get a room!”

Floyd cackled, letting go of his lover and walking over to his son and daughter, scooping them into a tight warm hug,

“You’ll be fine~”

“Dad! Get your lazy ass out of bed! I will kick you!”

Leona groaned as he heard his son's annoying chirping, the yowling had been going on for hours, Leona had raised the young cub by himself (he had Ruggies help), and the kid's mother was unknown, Leona was common for being quite the slut, sleeping with whoever wanted him. So imagine his surprise when a child was dumped at his door, a slip of paper saying “yours” stuck to the infant's head, And since that day the pesky cub hadn't left him alone. Leona stirred, turning over to see his son's diamond blue eyes, the only thing that wasn't from his genetics. The boy lit up, grasping his father's arm and dragging him from the bed.

“Common! I got to NRC soon! You need to help me pack!”

Leona whined but followed his silly boy to his room, he couldn't help the small bubble of pride in his chest, the cub was a random thing he would have never expected, but, Leona couldn’t think of a life without the little gremlin.

“Alright! I'm coming, geez Kanu, you'll kill me here”

Azul was stressed, no he was more than stressed he was frantic. His boy, His little boy was going to a school that had no mental health awareness! Common for crying out loud! Why didn't he have to choose that school out of all of them? Currently, he was tucked away in his grotto, his large tentacles twined and tugged around Jade's lithe form, his mate snoozing away giddily, and not to mention their little oddball, who was curled against the two. The young man had always had an odd look, well obviously, his lineage was a mix of two separate species, an eel, and an octopus. He was worried he supposed. At least his cousin would go with him, so he wouldn't be all alone. Jade stirred, his tail curling around their son, trilling to the boy…he would be ok…his little Uka.

The stress was getting to vil, he tried everything, but he still felt ill, His little angel was going to be under the care of…of…crowly! Can you imagine!...hevans! He didn't need this, it’ll give him wrinkles! His son walked in, his face soft and plump, not at all like his,

“Hello, father! Papa was just helping me pack! He was telling me about the best places to watch everyone!”

Vil shot his son a deadpanned look, turning back and shouting into their large house,

“Rook! Our son is not a stalker!”

Rook replied down the hall, his thick accent calling out from his lips,

“I am not a stalker either mon amor! I simply enjoy observing people!”

Vil sighed deeply, massaging his temple hoping to stunt the growing headache forming behind his eyes,

“Please do not…observe people like your father, it is rude”

The boy nodded,

“Sorry Father, I won't”

Vil stood from his chair, striding over to the young man, and pressing a kiss against his forehead, worry evident within his eyes,

“Just…be careful my boy, my darling gem”

Lucus nodded.

Jamil sighed deeply, flopping against Kalim as the sultan carded his well-manicured hands through his lover's hair, each strand catching on pampered skin. Jamil cuddled closer, looking up at his husband,

“Three days to go”

Kalim smiled, giving a nod,

“Don't worry jam jam, I'm sure the twins will be ok, they have each other right?”

Jamil sighed,

“I know, I know…but I’m worried ya know? What if something happens, what if someone tried to kill one of them what-”

Kalim silenced his lover’s rant with a small kiss,

“They will be ok, I swear it”

Jamil hummed, nuzzling closer to his husband,

“Alright…I trust you”

Kalim lit up,

“Asad and Amir can handle themselves, I wouldn't let them go if I didn't think they were ready”

Jamil smiled softly, lifting his head to press tiny baby-soft kisses along his lover's jaw.
