Summary
No matter what the ninja told him at the Tournament of the Sources, he didn’t believe their manipulation tactics. He was not a ninja; he never was and will never join their team. But suddenly, during the battle with Thunderfang, he is sent into a coma and wakes up unaware of everything that happened after the Merge, and somehow all his memories from before flood back. Now, he is unaware that his goodness is shattered, unaware of every horrible thing he did. The ninja have to decide what to do when it is unclear whether Jay is back to normal, or still this "Rogue" they've known. Can they outrun what Jay became? Will the ninja tell him the truth, or pretend that everything is normal? And if the truth slips out, will it drive them apart?
Or maybe, the ninja just have to learn to accept him for who he is.

“Jay’s in the next room,” he replied calmly, and noticing her obvious panic, he approached slowly. “He’s fine now. We called a doctor from here to see you as soon as possible.” Then he frowned in concern, his hands clenched as he looked over her shoulder with a frown. He seemed uneasy, downright nervous if Kaida had to guess. “You two look like you’ve been through a lot…”
Kaida grimaced, her hands tightening against the sheets. Something caught her eye, and she couldn’t help but blurt out.
“Do you know him?” she asked, narrowing her eyes at them.
And he chuckled, giving her another reassuring smile, which, if Kaida had been more awake, she would have noticed sooner how similar it was to Jay’s.
“Well, yeah,” he said simply, nodding. “We’re his parents, actually.”
OR: Alternate Ending for chapter 20 of Lightning Pin where Jay and Kaida actually manage to get a break.
