It all started with Ace, your average guy, coming across a supposedly haunted abstract painting at a strange antique store and suddenly feeling compelled to take it home with him, despite not having any interest in art. Now, he's trapped in a weird, nightmarish world with said painting—which has now turned into a colorless yet attractive visage of a young man who wants Ace to 'complete' him, as every other painter before him has failed.
Except this painting is a brat who quickly resorts to less than savoury acts if Ace, with his somewhat limited artistic abilities, fails to match up with the former's impossible expectations. Coupled with the chilling last recounts of previous victims and the weird memories—that were not his own, he's sure—flooding his mind about a young conman in the distant past biting off more than he can chew and getting stuck painting a model with one too many secrets behind his proper decorum, Ace has a lot on his paint palette.
And it really doesn't help that the model in his 'memories' looks exactly like the one in the painting.
(No prior knowledge of Death Palette needed, but there will be spoilers for the game.)

Summary
After an international coalition of scientists come together in order to solve the issue of global climate change, one can expect some level of chaos. Chaos of the turning forests glow-in-the-dark and creating real-life Jaws animals variety. So when the supervisory board of the new coalition need to split up the core squad of chaos-bringers, field researcher and mischief-maker Alfred Jones and his climatologist husband Ivan Braginsky are tag-teamed and sent to Siberia in order to collect data on the permafrost. The only problem?
Alfred thinks they're going to Antarctica, and is expecting penguins. Ivan's not exactly telling him otherwise.
It's his father-in-law's idea of petty that caused the miscommunication, and his husband's predilection for vengefulness is entirely genetic. He's so not getting in the middle of that.

Albedo rushes up to her, easily picking her up and heading towards her room. “Hey! No, let me go! Mister Swan said Kaeya was hurt!” She protests, and almost kicks at Albedo’s chest before he puts her down swiftly in the middle of her room.
Albedo runs a hand through her hair, and she can feel it shaking. “Stay here. I’ll be back for you in a bit, yeah? Just gotta take care of some things. Can you do that for me?”
“Okay.” Obviously, she's not going to do that for him. Klee is now on a quest to one, find kaeya and see what happened to him, two, fix him up, somehow. That's what a little sister should do for her big brother.

Alternatively, Kaeya gets stabbed, Klee thinks she's a god, which is definitely Venti's fault, Albedo is stressed but put together, and Diluc is in desperate need of therapy. Klee takes it upon herself as a god to see to it that Kaeya heals, her big brothers stay safe (and in love), and Diluc gets the help he desperately needs with working things out with Kaeya.
