TIKTOK CHALLENGE

Summary:

Jonathan had seen this ridiculous video about lifting your partner onto the kitchen counter to see how they react. Jon hadn't expected Damian to react so well — well enough to want to kiss him right there in the kitchen of Wayne Manor.

Work Text:

ONESHOT

There was no way not to love this — sitting at the kitchen island, watching Damian Wayne calmly wait for the tea water to boil. Not every partner in the Wayne family could be at Wayne Manor at this hour, but Jonathan had earned a few extra points with the in-laws (and the father-in-law) by maintaining a respectful demeanor in front of them, avoiding romantic hugs or kisses when the Waynes were around.

This dynamic quickly changed when they were alone. Jon had a habit of leaving Damian breathless with long kisses, excusing it by saying he loved how gorgeous Damian looked when he tried to catch his breath. And he'd never tell the in-laws how much he loved the swollen lips Damian had after going down on him. But he loved it.

"What are you thinking about, Smallville?"

"Are you okay? Are you hurt from patrol?" Jon’s hands moved to his boyfriend's hips, and with a quick motion, he lifted him onto the counter. The vigilante couldn’t hide his surprise. "If you need help."

"That’s an interesting way to ask if I need help." A playful smile formed on Damian's lips as he watched him. "What are you up to, Jonathan?"

"Nothing, just making sure you're okay."

Damian raised an eyebrow, a skeptical look spreading across his face. "You’re telling me you put me on the counter to check my ribs?" He crossed his arms, clearly amused by the situation, but still maintaining his serious demeanor. "Tell me the truth."

Jonathan smiled and leaned a little closer, his hands still on Damian's hips. "I really can’t hide anything from you, can I?"

"You’ve never been good at it, and I like that." He admitted with a mischievous gleam in his eyes.

"Maybe I saw a video, you know, where people put their boyfriends on the counter to see how they react, and I thought you’d look cute like that."

"A challenge?" Damian repeated, his voice tinged with slight disbelief. "Superboy, are you telling me you’re following an... Internet trend?" He seemed ready to make a cutting remark, but Jon noticed a small smile trying to break free. "I really hope you didn’t find anyone else cute in those videos, Samuel."

Damian had the habit of calling his boyfriend by his middle name when he was being serious, but he rarely succeeded in keeping up the stern tone, always softening around Jon.

Jon laughed and brought his lips close to Damian’s ear. "How could I, knowing how jealous my man is? I just thought you’d like it. And it seems I was right." He slid his hands up, lightly tracing the line of Damian’s back until they rested on his shoulders. "You seem quite happy to be up there."

Damian let out a sigh and closed his eyes. It was impossible for him not to let Kent read him. It was a skill the Kryptonian had cultivated for a long time: breaking down the walls Damian had spent years building, effortlessly.

"Looks like you won this time, farmer ."

Before Jon could respond, Damian grabbed the front of his shirt and pulled him in for a quick but intense kiss. The familiar taste of his lips was a reminder of how many times they'd been in this exact position: alone, with the night surrounding them and the world seeming a little less complicated. When they finally parted, Jon rested his forehead against Damian’s and smiled softly.

"You know, if your brothers see this..." That reminded Wayne that the family was still home. "We’ll be back to meeting on the living room couch under supervision."

"If they see this, Jonathan Samuel Kent, I guarantee it will be the last time you put me on a counter. Understand?"

Jon couldn’t hold back a laugh and threw his head back. "Understood, Mr. Wayne."

But as they exchanged glances, the heat between them grew in an inevitable way. It was a dance they knew well, a game of teasing and intimacy that, despite the risks and differences between them, made them feel complete.

Damian jumped down from the counter, adjusting his posture as he looked at Jon. "Now, if you’re done playing with silly videos, how about we go somewhere that doesn’t compromise the privacy of our relationship?"

Jon’s eyes gleamed. "Yes, sir." He grabbed his lover’s hips again. "But I’ll get you back on that counter sooner or later."

Damian gave a small smile, his voice laced with sarcasm. "I’ll be waiting."
