After saving Baldur’s Gate Astarion and Red begin searching for a cure for him, together, as equals. As their relationship grows without the constant threat of death looming over them, Red begins to see a new, sweeter, side of Astarion, but as the days pass, and he begins to heal, she starts to notice a few strange things happening. With each well fed, well loved day that passes, he begins to look more and more… well, alive.Basically, as Astarion becomes healthier, he begins to look, act and feel more elf-like.

chapter preview:“Where two fangs had once been now sat two completely normal canine teeth. Red's mouth fell open.
“They’re gone aren’t they! Get the wizard!” Astarion cried, scrambling towards the edge of the bed with eyes on the door.
“Stop it! Astarion!” Red grabbed his wrist before he hauled the door open and forced him to look at her. With two hands on the side of his face she was able to catch his eyes.
“They are not gone,” she said, “i just- well i can’t see them”
“Then that means they’re gone!”
