"Oh my god."
Keefe and Sophie are on the sofa in Keefe’s dressing room with new scripts on their lap. The title reads "Neverseen, Episode 78.” Keefe’s head is in his hands. His face is pale. He is dead silent, and… shaking?
“Keefe, I’m sure it won’t be that bad, he’ll come back to the Black Swan soon enough, right? He wouldn’t actually leave, he hates his mom too much to join her.”
At this, Keefe starts cackling with laughter, head still in his hands. “Nonono it’s not that-” he chokes, “I owe Biana so much money after this.”
Sophie’s face drops into disappointment. She is far too used to Keefe and Biana’s ridiculous bets.
Speak of the devil, and (s)he doth appear: Biana comes hurtling down the corridor at full speed, almost knocking down Keefe’s door in the process. “Woahhh, slow do-” starts Sophie, only to be cut off by Biana’s shushing gesture.
She’s bent over with her hands on her knees, catching her breath. The room is silent.
She straightens up, points a menacing finger at Keefe, then, “Two hundred dollars. Now.”
Sophie pales. “Two hundred??”
“Biana, please,” Keefe begs, “I’m a poor man, take pit-”
“Oh, come off it, we all know you get paid more than me, pay up.”
“Shit. Uhhhh… I was joking about the bet!”
“Sure, Keefe. So when you said, ‘I’m telling you, he’s never gonna join the Neverseen, he’s not stupid enough to do that’ you were-”
“Deadpan!”
“Dead. Serious.”
“And then after that? When you went, ‘He wouldn’t betray Sophie for a million dollars?’”
Keefe is silent.
“Then when I said, ‘Oh, you wanna bet on it?” and you went, ‘Sure, I’ve got nothing to lose’ and I said, ‘Okay, one hundred dollars,’ and you raised the amount to two hundred?”
“Who’s the one with the photographic fucking memory now?” Keefe mutters under his breath.
“Pay. up.”
“No!” Keefe drops to the floor at Biana’s feet. “Pleasepleasepleaseplease-”
Dex strolls in. “Hey, have you guys seen the script for the new epis-”
He does a double take at the scene in front of him; Keefe nothing short of inconsolable at Biana’s feet, Biana glaring at him, Sophie looking thoroughly amused and desperately trying not to laugh.
“... what the fuck is going on?”
“He OWES me two hundred dollars!”
“She’s crazy!”
“Oh my god, guys.”
“What?? All I’m asking for is my rightfully earned money, you-”
“Okayyyy,” says Dex, slowly backing out of the room. “Forget I said anything. He hits the doorframe on his way out. Keefe snorts. Dex’s “Shut up, Keefe, I know that was you!” echoes down the hallway.

"It means I got more memories back. I’m not like you. You were made to be the hero. I was raised to be something… else." Keefe’s hand reaches towards Sophie, eyebrows furrowed with an unreadable expression. The corner of his mouth twitches. He shakes slightly. Then bursts out laughing.
"Oh my god I cannot take this evil mastermind-ass speech seriously I can’t do this anymore."
"Cut! Keefe, please stop laughing if you want to go home anytime soon." The director's voice is loud over the speaker, but it’s a lost cause. Keefe and Sophie are both bent over, all but hysterical. "Sorry, sorry," Sophie chokes out mid-laugh. "Next take is the last one, I swear!"
"It’d better be, you hear that, Keefe?"
If Keefe’s answering half-nod, half-laugh is anything to go by, next take will be nowhere near the last take.
"Okay, you guys ready now? Scene 78, Take 32, Action!"
