Chapter Text

There was a tribe of people with the power to see EM waves... the Mu. That special power of Mu was the object of fear from other peoples of the world, who sought to drive them out. Their search led them to Earth's End. And there they found the Great Being, the source of all EM waves.

The Great Being first gave the Mu language. The Mu used language to control EM waves and create prosperous civilization. The Mu people got their power to manipulate EM waves from the Great Being. The Mu technology for materializing EM waves allowed their civilization to advance. And for a time, lived in peace.

One day Invaders appeared in the Mu's land, Earth's End, and tried to drive out the people of Mu. After the appearance of the invaders, the Mu were divided into those who embraced war and those who rejected it. Humans who rejected war, forsook their land and scattered across the Earth... And those who embraced war, used the power of EM waves to raise their land into the sky. Those Mu who left Earth used EM warriors to wipe out the Invaders.

The Mu in the sky conquered all of the peoples on the ground and ruled the Earth.

That is the history of the Mu people. The civilization that seems to be forgotten. The civilization that many believe to be nothing more than a myth. A myth that one person knows for a fact to be real.

A young child walks around ACDC Town. He had the most unusual appearance. White long hair that contrasts with his tanned skin. Red eyes that intimidate those who stare at it with a red bod lightning facial marking trailing down his left eye. Alongside a pair of earrings, he wears a bodysuit with patterns proceeding from around his stomach to the tips of his feet and the sleeves. In the middle of his chest is the crest of Mu. This child is called Solo, the last descendant of the ancient civilization of Mu.

Solo walks around until he happens to be near what appears to be a playground with a bunch of children around his own age gathering around. Alongside having a conversation with each other they all seem to talk with their Net Navis as well.

“How pathetic” Solo said to himself

The ancient civilization of Mu mostly focuses on EM Waves Technology and yet the world surrounding Solo mainly focuses on data. The internet that connects everyone and everything is what drives society and NetNavis helps humans and assists their operators. As this society advances the bonds between humans and navis grow.

Everything in this world revolves around data and the most EM Technology seems to be used for is to transfer information from the real world to the cyberworld. A downgrade to what it was used for in the past. This society was built on top of the graves of my heritage. This Data, this internet, these bonds this society is nothing but pathetic.

It has been 200 hundred years since the fall of the internet. Humans have since managed to survive and strive since then. Using EM technology to capture what was once invisible to the naked eye and use it to store and organize it society became better than it was before. As EM technology spread across the world data soon started to be dismissed. NetNavis, once were seen as the pillars of human society, were soon tossed away. NetNavis that were once very common to see are now becoming scared with the newer navis paling in comparison to before.

A figure walked along the wave roads. An environment of EM Waves above the earth's surface that replaced the Cyberworld. He wears a cobra-like helmet that had been altered as fins which are mostly straightened out and split off at the bottom to show off the second pair of smaller fins. A blue gem is seen in the middle of the helmet. He has red eyes with purple facial markings spreading down both his eyes. Finally, he covers himself in a brown clock covering the rest of his body. His name is Bass.EXE, he is a netnavi who has lived to see the fall of data and the rise of EM technology.

As Bass walks along the wave roads, he sees a bunch of children who seem to be waiting at a bus stop.

“Humans” Bass says with the most venom in his voice

A traitorous species who do nothing but think for themselves. The same species spend so long talking about bonds and coexistence but then abandon those who weren’t human. The same species that got rid of his own kind just for the sake of convenience.

“I will make you all pay for this”

Chapter Text

The sky is clear without a cloud in sight, the sun is out, and the weather is just right. Yes, it would be the most perfect day as long as you ignore the loud noises of crashes that seem to be coming from one certain house.

“Owww why did everything have to fall on top of me at the same time?”

Under the piles of blueprints, machines parts, bolts, and office supplies lie a 14-year-old girl. She has blond hair with green eyes. The color red is seen throughout her entire outfit which includes a short jacket, shorts and sneakers alongside a black shirt. This girl would be Roll Caskett. The one and only adopted granddaughter and apprentice of Dr Light.

Roll quickly pulls herself away from the piles of items that fell and searches throughout the pile.

“It got to be here somewhere. If it really is him then maybe this time I can…..”

Moments later the door started to open “Roll is everything okay?”

“Megaman!”

A ten-year-old boy with spiky black hair soon appears. While he appears to be a normal boy, he is actually a robot who is well known for being the Blue Bomber Megaman and also Roll brother. “I heard a really loud crash”

Roll quickly stands up straight, brushing off any dust that she could have picked up. “Oh, I was just looking through some blueprints and then everything just suddenly crashed down.”

“Are you hurt?” Megaman asked, concerned. As he walks forwards, he starts to stare at the blueprints. “What are these?”

Roll quickly answers “Oh I was just looking into some blueprints for your armor and weapons. Considering how Dr Wily can announce another evil plan at any moment it wouldn’t help to be prepared.”

“You don’t have to worry about him” Megaman replied “The police seem to be searching for him everywhere”

“You know how Dr Wily is” Soon Roll grab some of the blueprints and place them into Megaman hands “Well since you're here why don’t you help me carry some of these to the lab”

Soon both of them started to walk towards their home as Roll try to put the thoughts that haunted her head in the back of her mind.

An airship flies in the air. Its destination is an ancient looking tower that seems to be called the Ocean Tower. Flying the ship appears to be a 10-year-old looking girl with blond hair and blue eyes. She wears a red dress with a hoodie while her hair is tied in a ponytail by a green ribbon.

“Megaman sure is taking a while.”

Her name is Roll and the most interesting thing about her is that she is completely robotic. In this world being known as Carbon are common. Organic beings who are made of flesh, but with the ability to replace their regular body parts with mechanical implants. Yet in Roll case it appears that she never once had an organic part in her entire body.

Soon someone else appears in the room. A brown-haired boy with green eyes. His entire body is covered in blue armor and appears to be robotic. He started to walk up to Roll.

“Is that Ocean Tower?”

“Yep” Roll replied, “Do you have everything you need to get the Refractor?”

“Don’t worry about me. I can take on any traps and hostile Reaverbots” Megaman said in confidence. “Who knows maybe I can find clues on who you are?”

Another interesting thing about Roll is in fact that she was discovered by Barrell Casket in a ruin, and she has no idea who she is or how she got there. Barrel was kind enough to take her in and soon Megaman joined their little family as well.

“Don’t worry if you don’t end up finding anything and besides, I know you're strong.”

Megaman blush at Roll comment and smiled.

Chapter Text

The Maverick Wars, a series of global armed conflicts between legions of Mavericks led by Sigma. These wars had cost numerous damages, injuries and casualties world wide and the main source of it all seems to be what is being called the Maverick Virus. While there had been Reploids who had turned Maverick on their own free will the majority of them were simply infected by the virus.

To protect humans and the world from these Maverick attacks the Maverick Hunters was formed. Groups of powerful Reploids are deployed to stop Mavericks before they can cause any harm. While they have managed to defeat many Mavericks in the past, many of those very same Reploids have fallen victim to the virus. These wars had mainly been fought by Reploids as humans simply stayed in the background. Not once had a human joined the war to fight in the frontlines until the day a human named Atlas decided to join the Maverick Hunters.

She is a young woman with a muscular physique. She has dual-toned spiky hair, thick eyebrows and a fierce expression. She wears a vibrant orange vest and white pants. Many believe that she would simply be placed as a navigator but were surprised to see her fighting alongside her fellow hunter with high tech weaponry.

“You know we already received another complaint about having a human fight alongside us” A red reploid with long blond hair said

“Let them complain.” Atlas replied “Ever since this war started technology has improved to the point where many hunters have to keep up with me. Besides, it’s about time we humans should stop leaving you reploids to do everything.”

Zero smirked “Then I guess you believe that your skills are enough to keep up with me”

Atlas face Zero with her own smirked “Why don’t we head towards the training room to prove it”

In the background a blue Reploid sign as the sight of these two in the training room had become a common sight.

Chapter Text

Reploids must now have limited lifespans while humans must now gain mechanical parts. Reploids now have the ability to eat organic food and be available to gain blood transfusions from humans with the reverse being the same. This was all in the effort of bringing equality to humans and reploids. In fact, the only way to tell if someone is a reploid is simply because they had a red triangle in the center of their foreheads.

A young reploid stands on top of a field of ice. She has long brown hair tied in a ponytail with green eyes. Her armor consists of a blue and red scheme with yellow accents which takes the form of a dress. The most interesting thing about her appearance is the fact that despite being a reploid she doesn’t have a red triangle in the center of her foreheads. Her name is Iris

This law had made both reploids and humans equal but at the same time stripped each of the characteristics that made each unique. The characteristics that are simply being stripped away because of this law. Yes, the world seems peaceful but was that worth taking away each species individuality, worth and differences to simply fit into what one company says.

Would it really be worth more than the dreams my brother died for.

Suddenly a young reploid with blue hair appeared “Are you ready?”

“Yes” Iris replied

The Game of Destiny, a game where each Mega Man fights against each other to see who is worthy of ruling the world as Mega Man King. The winner can re shape the world as they see fit

“For a world where only Reploids exist”

Chapter Text

In the middle of a net area a single figure stands alone. He wore a black suit covered in black armor bracelet in one arm while his other was covered in purple flames. In the middle of his chest is a crimson red crest of Mu.

As the figure starts to move, he gets sliced in half by a sword held by Solo who is now in his EM Wave form called Rogue.

“That should be the last of those pathetic copies”

EM Wave Change is an ability that has been used by the Mu people that allows someone to turn into EM waves. While EM technology is not as advanced compared towards the past it is adaptable with the data and the internet. Rogue has become somewhat of a myth or legend around the Net. A mysterious “navi” whose battle moves seem far too complex that no normal navi can copy or replicate. The most mysterious part is that some had claimed to see this “navi” in the real world as well.

“To try to make a copy of me while using this replacement.” After deleting his copy Rogue makes his way towards the network of a certain apartment until he finds himself in a certain room. EM Wave Change turns the user into EM waves which allows them to move around the internet and the real world. While in the real world the user is invisible to the average person unless they allow themself to be seen or in a Visible Zone which happens when there are frequency fluctuations that cause EM waves to become visible to the average human.

Soon Rogue starts to grab the person who he believed to be responsible for creating all those copies.

“He’s floating!? How is that possible” said Lan Hikari who had just defeated the bug beast Gospel alongside his net navi MegaMan.EXE.

“Wait” Soon he started to notice another figure in the room “Is that a navi?”

Chapter Text

Bass stands along the edge of the floor. Standing there waiting.

“So, I see you finally came”

A blue armored figure appeared. He wears red visualizers and has brown hair sticking out of his helmet. In the middle of his chest a golden star-shaped pendant and in one of his arms a beast head takes its place. The blue armored figure is the combination of the human Geo Stelar and the AM-ian Omega-Xis. Together they EM Wave Change to form Mega Man.

“200 hundred years ago you humans made us navis, talked about how both species can work side by side together and rely on each other only to discard us as if we were nothing. You all strive to make sure your species survive and improve while leaving us behind. Even those who work together with you humans didn’t get spared.”

“Bass” MegaMan began to say, “I won’t try to tell you that what happened to the navis wasn’t wrong but I'm not just going to sit by and do nothing while you try to destroy the world.”

MegaMan stands firmed “What you doing isn’t going to fix the wrongs that happened in the past”

“You only say that because you are a human, because you belong to a species who always somehow manage to remain in the top even if you don’t deserve it.”

Soon Bass begins to face Megaman. “Right now, I'm about to change that status quo.”

The area around them begins to shake and crumble.

“Kid” Omega-Xis shouted, “Get ready, something is coming!”

A large figure soon starts to appear behind Bass. Its aura can be compared to that of a god. Le Mu, the once ruler of the continent of Mu and the one responsible for its destruction. The one that Bass had set loose in order to achieve humankind destruction.

Chapter Text

The sound of machines played in the background has the night gone by. Everybody else had simply gone to sleep in their warm beds, resting until the next day where they would continue their work. Nothing but machines lay inside that room until the door started to open. A little girl soon entered.

“Wow!” She said in excitement.

Soon she starts to wander around endlessly. Her eyes stared in wonder at all the machines and devices that were placed around the room. The ones that she was told not to touch, the ones that were simply toys that she could play with and were too dangerous for someone for her to mess around with.

A big computer monitor appeared in front of her and soon the girl started to move her hand closer to it.

“Don’t touch that”

The girl was startled at the sound of the voice.

“Your Roll, Dr Light granddaughter” Roll turned around to see where the voice was coming from. She saw a robot with brown hair and sunglasses. “You shouldn’t be here.”

“I wasn’t going to touch anything” Roll said in a whisper

The robot soon reaches out his hand “Let’s take you back to your room”

Years later Roll can still perfectly recall the day she met Protoman before her grandfather officially introduced her. It was a memory she still remembers fondly.

“It was thanks to him that I got rescued and managed to reveal the truth about how Dr Wily was blackmailing my father.”

The girl next to Roll finished her story. Her name is Kalinka Cossack. She has blond hair and wears a red fur coat with a skirt alongside tan boots. She also has a black ushanka on top of her head. Recently she got kidnapped by Dr Wily and was being held hostage but got saved by Protoman.

“Do you know where he went?” Roll Asked

“No” Kalinka replied “After he sent me to Megaman he just disappeared. I never even got a chance to say thank you.”

So, he’s still alive. It’s a good thing he’s not working for Dr Wily anymore and attacking Megaman as well, once I find him, he’s going to get the most intense lector of his whole life.

The two girls sit down and continue talking as the snow soon starts to fall from the sky. Both girls recall the events that happened these past few days.

Chapter Text

Megaman continues to walk across the ruins and soon comes face to face with a familiar looking door.

“What’s happening to me?” Megaman said in frustration. “This is the first time I've ever been here, but I feel like I’ve seen this before. Something is telling me that there’s danger here. That it shouldn’t be opened.”

Soon a light glowed, and the door started to open on its own. As it opened a figure was shown.

Megaman looked at the figure in bewilderment. “It’s a man? A person!?”

The figure soon stepped out of the door. He wore black armor with gold lining with his chest having a crystal triangle in the middle of it. His helmet features large yellow fins that resemble that of a cobra with purple stripes running down his eyes.

“Was it you who awoke me?” The figure replied. Soon his red eyes stared directly into Megaman. “Your…Your Megaman Trigger.”

“You know me!?” Megaman soon starts to walk closely to the figure.

Soon the figure turned his arm into a cannon, and he pointed it directly at Megaman.

“Fight me”

He shot a blast and Megaman quickly dodge it. “Hey, what was that for!? Why are you even attacking me? I don’t even know you?”

The figure continues to shoot his cannon and aim directly at Megaman. “It seems like you have amnesia. My name is Bass, and you shall fight me.”

Chapter Text

Maverick Hunters, Groups of powerful reploids are deployed to stop Mavericks before they can cause any harm. While many imagine the group to mostly be the heavy combat made reploids they also include a subgroup called Navigators. While not in the main spotlight they do play an important role in relaying information and supporting those in the front lines. Every Maverick Hunter had a Navigator, and every Navigator had a Maverick Hunter. While support is the main role of a navigator that mostly tends to be only when their Maverick Hunters are out in the battlefield and nothing more. While that always been the case this particular Navigator would not be in the situation she is in if she had followed that status quo.

A young reploid walks alongside her fellow coworkers. She had long blond hair while holding a white cat doll. Her co-workers include a dark skin reploid who has long violet hair in a traditional Japanese princess hairstyle, which covers her green eyes most of the time and a younger reploid who has short blonde hair and two panels on either side of her head resembling twintails. Their names are Prairie, Layer and Pallette.

“This is why I love malls,” Palette said in excitement “Humans always come up with the most creative inventions and not to mention all the different outfits and food that you can find. I just want to buy everything around me”

“All the items you brought seems like a waste” Layer replied.

“When you buy something, you love then it’s never a waste” Palette soon made a cheeky smile “Beside we all know that what you bought is for someone you love”

Layer soon became fluster “I just thought that Prairie idea to buy something to lift up our Maverick Hunters spirit as a friendly gesture”

“Yes, and that’s the only reason why you decided to buy Zero something, a simple friendly gesture”

A friendly gesture to lift up the Maverick Hunters, that was the original reason why Prairie decided to go shopping with her fellow friends.

“Still” Prairie spoke up “I still don’t see anything that X would like”

X had always been in the spotlight when it came towards the Maverick Wars. The way he manages to defeat Sigma every time he starts to cause chaos and helps with the aftermath of these wars has caused many to view him as an inspiring figure of hope. While many still do see him that way lately he seemed a bit more reserved, like he is trying to force himself to remain positive. Giving him something to lift up his spirit should be the least she could do considering what happened with Gate and the Nightmare Virus.

“Maybe I should look into the stores that mostly sell human stuff. X always did like human things”

“He is the most human out of all of us.” Palette responded, “By the way did you hear the rumor that the reason why X is still B ranks after all these wars because the higher up got annoyed hearing his peace speeches.”

Chapter Text

To say that these past few days had been stressful would be an understatement. The news conference that got interrupted, saving the Sulphur-Bottom and its crew, searching for the four keys to the Mother Lode, Megaman fights with Geetz and finally him being stuck in Elysium which is located on the moon. While Roll and Megaman did have some adventures that tend to be a bit dangerous, this one sure outrank all of them combine. It is also because of that adventure that Roll finds herself in this situation.

“We can go out in some ruins or pick up some extra work for the money. It should be enough to build the rocket from Data blueprints” Roll said for the third time.

“That would take too long. The materials to build a rocket strong enough to go to the moon and come back aren't cheap.”

Tron Bonne, A member of the famous air pirates The Bonne Family. She usually wears a pink shirt with the Bonne family mark, a small blue jacket, two Bonne earrings and a headband. She is also the only person who can help build the rocket to get Megaman off the moon.

“Not all of us have the money to build those types of engines and besides with my amazing engine we would get Megaman off the moon in no time.”

It is very hard to believe those words once you see those engines explode for the tenth time. Soon Roll started to tune out Tron words as she continued to talk about her engine. It was times like this where I wish I was a mechanic or had some sort of hidden building skill. Sure, I can help repair around the Flutter or some of Megaman weapons but those don’t really help when it comes towards building a rocket.

“Now all we have to do is move around some of these parts and this time it should work” Tron looked at her latest blueprints in confidence while Roll just sighed in defeat.

The sun shines brightly and the sky shows no sign of rain. Sitting on top of some stairs a boy named Eugene Chaud stays perfectly still. He has white and black hair and wears a red sleeveless jacket over a black shirt with a yellow collar. His sky-blue eyes continue to stare at the bright blue sky, and he stays in that position and thinks about the conversation he had earlier.

“I can’t believe you called me out just to tell me this.”

“Father” Chaud said “Just come and watch”

“I don’t need to consistently remind you of the mottos and besides this whole tournament is a waste of time.” Chaud Father soon turns around and starts to leave. “Just focus on your studies and stop wasting my time. I have more important things to do”

Chaud stays in the same position perfectly still for what appears to be hours until he turns his eyes to see a strange creature right next to him.

“Hee Hee…. a parent leaving their own child in a miserable state. What a terrible adult.”

Chaud doesn’t move his position but continues to stare at the strange creature next to him. It took the shape of a blue harp with arms but had flames coming out on the side. It wears a pink heart and has sharp green eyes which seem to focus solely on him.

“Who are you?” Chaud asked

“I’m Lyra” The creature responded, “I am a lover of music and was on my way to that music tournament but then noticed how one of the participants seems to be not even show up.”

“It wasn’t that important” Chaud replied in a monotone voice “Besides it was a waste of time.”

“Really now” Lyra looks up at the sky “It seems like it was important to you. I have to say this isn’t the first time your father dismissed something important to you isn’t it. To leave you all by yourself without ever sparing you a single glance.”

Chaud continues to speak in a monotone voice. “It was all a waste of father's time.”

“What if I told you that you were one of the chosen one. That your interests aren’t something that should be easily dismissed but something to be watched.”

“What are you talking about?” Chaud asked in confusion

Lyra soon floated in front of him. “Please take me with you, once you do you will have the power so that no one can dismiss you.”

Those words that Chaud's father told him repeats in his mind. The same words that he has heard constantly before.

Soon Lyra whispered and reached out her hand “To have your father finally look at you. To see you are not a waste of time.”

Chaud stood up and grabbed Lyra's hand.

Chapter Text

A red netnavi runs fast across the Net Area. He wears black sunglasses and has long white hair. He moves quietly and quickly searching for his target until he finds him, a Heel Navi, known for taking dirty jobs or evil works for money. Soon the red navi turns his hand into a sword and moves in front of the navi.

“It would be wise to simply turn yourself in now.”

“Ha” The Heel Navi soon gets ready to attack and speaks in a menacing voice “As if I would…wait your Protoman.EXE, Sonia Strumm Net Navi!!!!!” Soon the Heel Navi jumps up in excitement. “ I am such a big fan. I have all her albums and merchandise. I was even there for her retirement concert.”

“Oh I see.” Protoman soon starts to think to himself as the Heel Navi continue his ramble. He’s another fanboy.

In a room a young girl listened to her navi report. She has dark red pinkish hair and green eyes. She wears a pink coat with a teal interior and bun shaped parts with a cream lining on each top side of her hood. Her name was Sonia Strumm, former all-star idol and now Official NetBattler.

“Really now, I should send him an autograph. You think the Net Police would let me see him as a thank you for turning in yourself peacefully?”

“At the moment I don’t believe they would allow that” Protoman replied back to his operator.

“Well, I should still send him an autograph. Let’s go see if there are any more tasks to complete from the messenger boards.” Sonia soon looked at the messages people wrote in excitement.

Protoman thinks back to just how different things are compared to before. That horrible manager who pushed Sonia to the point of joining WWW, the crimes they did on Dr. Wily orders and then their netbattle with Lan Hikari and Megaman.EXE. How he managed to reach out to Sonia when no one else bothered to try before without trying to use her in some way or wanting something from them. It was because they helped out in defeating the WWW plans and the information, they gave out that they managed to not face a very harsh punishment for the crimes they committed.

“Look at this” Sonia pulls out an email. “This one seems to want a chip. It seems like they want WoodAura Q. Let’s go find one for them.” Sonia accepted the person's request.

Another thing that is different compared to before. How Sonia now wants to go out and help those who need it. It seems to be one of the more positive changes as his operator seems to be livelier compared to before. There is also the fact that the navis they seem to be fighting are more challenging compared to those paparazzi navis. Yes. things do seem to be brighter compared to before.

Chapter Text

Two figures moved across the training room. A brown haired reploid black armor highlighted by red lines and yellow accents and a human with dual-toned spiky hair. The fight looked like it wouldn’t end anytime soon until the human managed to hit the reploid making him fly across the room. Soon the reploid found himself knocked down in the ground

“Ugg, your punches sure are something else Atlas, you sure you're even human?”

“This is the simple result of evolution, Axl” Atlas walked over to help Axl get up from the floor. “As these wars and fights I experiences simply help me reach this level of strength”

“Let’s go one more round. I know this time I can win.” Axl said eagerly

“Oh, so would you like to use your weapons and abilities now” Atlas said eagerly

Soon Axl started to mumble. “Well… I don’t think I should…like I still need a hand of fighting without my copy chip plus I don’t want to ruin this room. Don’t need any more reasons for X not to make me a Maverick Hunter.”

“Are you saying that simple because I am human” Atlas rebutted

“No nothing like that. Everyone knows about the human Maverick Hunter who defeated thousands of Mavericks, and these combat lessons really do show off why you are one of the top hunters. X just…”

“Forget about what X said for a moment.” Atlas said as she interrupted Axl. “Let me tell you something, you do have what it takes to be a Maverick Hunter and X is just being a fool to deny you that right”

X one of the most powerful repoids that she has ever fought with and now all he does is sit in the sidelines trying to find alternative solutions. It is such a waste. Reading about the fights X has endured and seeing them for herself, it was very clear just how much these fights had caused X to improve and grow into lengths that he wouldn’t have achieved during more peaceful times. If he had simply continued to fight on, he could have simply reached a state where he would have been powerful enough to single handedly stop Mavericks before they even have a chance to think about attacking others. It is such a waste.

Yet the most insulting thing, the one thing that surpassed even his most idiotic talks about peace and never having to fight again is what he dared utter to her.

“Atlas, you shouldn’t be on the battlefield in the first place.”

It is pretty obvious that X didn’t mean to say those words in a negative way and simply just means that no one should be in the battlefield, that these wars need to stop but still those words struck a nerve.

The battlefield is the reason why she even became who she is today, to past her limits and evolved to be even stronger compared towards normal means. Plus, the technology she uses just keeps improving after each war. Why shouldn’t she be in the battlefield, for if she, a human who fought in war managed to now fight as equals with other reploids then who is to say other humans wouldn’t reach the same level if they also fought in these wars.

“You really think I should be a Maverick Hunter?”

“I don’t see why not. You did help us during our latest fight with Sigma and prove your skills as well. Now why don’t we go for another round. If I win, then you must spar with me with your weapons.”

Robots were made to be the image of humans.

Reploids were made to be like humans.

Humans are the being that this whole world revolves around.

Iris lays down in the ground staring at the damage reploid in front of her. The reploid armor and body now damaged beyond repair. Her body stays perfectly still as she holds on to the destroyed hand hoping that it would move, that all this is just some sort of nightmare.

“General Colonel has gone Maverick and has become a threat to Neo Arcadia.”

That is what they had told everyone but that isn’t right. Her brother was only trying to make X see reason. Neo Arcadia was made for both humans and reploids to live in peace, for coexistence. There is an energy crisis, but humans are the ones that need food, water and the ones that need to have the most care since they can’t survive outside the domes yet to simply blame the whole energy crisis on reploids, to have them executed without a fair trial.

“You were only trying to protect me when they decided to brand me as a maverick.”

X always talked about how both species are the same, how one is not more important than the other one and yet just because the living standards of humanity are being threatened does that mean that all those talks of being equals no longer matter?

“Brother, reploids were made to be like humans and X is the closest one to ever being human. Our creator made us in hope that we would be just like X. If our creator were successful and did manage to merge us into one, it would mean that we would share his mindset and also view the needs of reploids as secondary towards humans. If I did manage to save your core and merge it with my programming would that mean I would have viewed X orders to destroy you as justified.”

Neo Arcadia is no longer safe for reploids. Humans are a priority and reploids have no place in this new world. This world would always favor humans above reploids no matter how much other claims that both are the same.

“Do you experience any aftereffects when you de-transform?”

“EM Wave technology so far only is available to transfer information from NetNavies to their Operators. To transfer a human between the internet and the real world, this is a new discovery.”

“When there is something jamming the signals does that mean you can’t transform?”

“Can you use Battle Chips outside of a dimensional area?”

All the Sci Lab scientists eagerly surrounded the area near the corner and in the middle of the corner was Rogue. Normally he would simply leave but because he is recovering from his injuries, he is stuck listening as these scientists ask him endless never-ending questions. The only people in the room who aren’t gathering around Rogue are two Net Savors who are having a discussion on their own.

“Do you care to explain to me how you ended up letting a criminal stay in your house for a month without notifying the Net Police?” Chaud Blaze asks his fellow Net Savor in disbelief.

“Well, it is a funny story actually.” Lan Hikari still thinks back to that series of events. Still in disbelief about the entire situation. When his mom started to leave food out near the window at first, he thought it was simply for a stray cat she was feeding. Only to one day walk into his kitchen to see Rogue casually eating his mom cooking. Then it turned out she wanted Rogue to stay in their guest room for a while.

“You should have seen the state he was in when I found him. It turned out some adults were harassing the poor boy and so I decided to let him stay for a while. Those adults really have no shame picking on a kid like that”

“Mom” Lan expresses in disbelief “He is dangerous, he has the power to somehow go to the real world and the digital world.”

“I don’t see what the big deal is with that” Soon Haruka Hikari pushes a dustpan into Lan's hand “Rush does that all the time. He even came by to eat some lunch and then hoped back into the cyber world. Now help me clean out the guest room. It is rude as host to let our guest stay in a dusty room”

I still can’t believe mom made me clean out that entire room. She even gave him one of my pajamas to sleep with before she bought him some.

“You see it turned out Nebula has been chasing after him for a while because of his abilities and then one day he was injured and mom found him. Soon she wanted to let him stay and well I can’t say no my mom”

“He even protected mom when Nebula attacked the house.” Megaman spoked up “When that Darkloids attack he defended her and even fought alongside us during the fight.”

“You still should have reported this to the Net Police when he showed up” Chaud spoked with the most serious tone. “While I know you can Cross Fused, did you forget that Rogue had defeated you and would have continued his attack if I hadn't arrived to save you.”

“Hey, I happen to be a lot stronger now compared to before.” Lan rebutted back “Plus I was just weakened because I had to fight that Darkloid earlier.”

“Still if Nedula had gotten to him then that would have been bad news. Plus, the fact that Rogue is actually a human and not some sort of advanced Net Navi is shocking as well.”

“Actually, he says he is from the ancient civilization of Mu that existed 10,000 years ago.” Lan explained as if what he said didn’t sound like absolute nonsense to Chaud ears.

“I see I will let the doctors know to make sure to give him a mental evaluation then.”

“When I get my hand on that imposter, I’m going make him beg to use him as scrap metal”

The events that happened earlier played in Roll head. Protoman, alongside some Robot Masters, announced that they plan to destroy the world. All of them were seen destroying cities and leaving massive destruction everywhere. Worst of all, “Protoman” appeared in their home and Kidnapped Dr Light in front of them.

Roll stood in the room with righteous fury “That imposter is going to pay for what he did”

“Are you sure it wasn’t the real Protoman?” Megaman asked

He personally witnessed Dr Light kidnapping himself. Even holding on to the yellow scarf that Protoman left behind.

“Trust me” Roll replied back “That wasn’t him”

Megaman stares back at Roll still holding on to the scarf. His face shows nothing to tell what his thoughts are about the current situation or if he actually believes Roll that the person who kidnapped Dr Light was not the real Protoman. Not that Roll wouldn’t blame him for. Protoman was a topic that wasn’t really a topic that was brought up in this household. Even when Megaman finally found out who he was, Dr Light never answered any questions on who he was.

It’s not like I answer any of his questions as well. I guess I never really considered how this would have made Mega feel. Finding out you have a secret brother and not getting any answers on who he is.

“I know he has been gone for years.” Roll responded in a low tone. “But when I was a kid, he use to always play with me and kept me company. I know for a fact this isn’t something that he would do even when he left it wasn’t on good terms.”

Megaman stayed silent for a few moments. Both of them stayed that way for a while until finally

“I believe you” Megaman spoked up, breaking the silence. “But can you promise me that once this is all over you can tell me more about him?”

“Alright” Soon Roll started to gather her tools. “This is something you should have been told a long time ago. Now let's gather your weapons to defeat that imposter.”

The planet was saved and Geo managed to return safely. Well almost safely considering the injuries he got. Geo managed to explain it away as him getting hurt during the alien invasion which sounds unbelievable if he didn’t experience it for himself.

“So, you're staying”

“A course I'm staying, this planet is very interesting, and I figured I might as well stay with my partner to learn more”

“What are you doing here? You don’t go to Echo Elementary! Aren’t you supposed to go to your school?

“Today is Geo day back to school, I’ll go back to my school after this.”

These Wave Roads are more convenient than any cars or other transportation. Besides a few viruses these past two months sure have been very peaceful. Father has been busy with his business as usual. Considering how quickly society has adapted to these Matter Wave and how quickly the new Star Carrier is being sold, father sure will be gone for the next few months.

“Interesting it always surprised me just how quickly you humans manage to improve your wave technology.” Lyra appeared in his Star Carrier alongside some emails.

“You went shopping again”

“There are so many interesting things here that you don’t usually find in Planet AM. Besides, your Link Power gave me a really great discount.” Lyra soon showed off some of the things she bought. “I even found some clothes that are perfect for you”

When you said you wanted to know more of this planet, I never expected you to discover a shopping habit. Well Lyra does have good style so it’s not that bad.

“By the way, Geo sent a message. Apparently, he managed to get tickets to see Ghost Crises and was wondering if you are free to see it.” Lyra soon pops up Geo message on the screen.

This was also something new, friends. Usually most of the time he would just spend most of his time alone but now he has someone who he can spend time with. While at times the group can be a bit annoying it was a refreshing change of pace compared to the silence he was used to.

“Well, I’ll see if I have time

With how peaceful things had gotten the only problem he should have faced should have been finding Bud missing ticket, not some EM Being attacking with EM viruses and kidnapping Luna.

“That you for the save little pink dude.”

This is also something new as well, Visible Zones. Certain areas that allow humans to see EM Being. Which means he has to be extra careful now when it comes towards Wave Busting. Lucky they both manage to quickly get rid of all the viruses and save Luna.

“NO NO NO” A voice was heard from the top of the tower. A tall man wearing a purple hat and wild braided blond hair. He looked actually like that strange man they ran into earlier as well.

“This wasn’t in the script; this show was supposed to last longer than a mere few minutes.”

The strange man stands on top of the tower “Now this is uncalled for two people also capable of EM wave changing.”

The man soon introduced himself as Hyde alongside an EM being named Phantom. Apparently, this Phantom isn’t like Lyra and Omega-Xis and most shockingly of all he even managed to EM wave change. Even calling himself Dark Phantom.

“The star takes the heroine and together they rule the world. This whole horror film set should have lasted for a while but then you two ruined the whole thing. This is why I don’t like working with amateurs.”

“Chaud” Lyra spoke with cation “He is getting ready to attack”

It looks like these peaceful months are finally over.

In the year 20XX a new robot illness, Roboneza , has begun to spread rapidly across the world causing robots to malfunction. A month later the infected robots turned violent and attempted to take over the world. The world expected a hero to rise, more specifically for the blue bomber Mega Man to come in and save the day. Except unknown to the whole world, he as well is suffering from the same illness.

Roll walks towards a room and opens the door to find Megaman was resting in bed. He appears to be sleeping peacefully, and everything appears to be normal. As long as you ignore the fact that he has been sleeping for a whole month. Roll still thinks back to that day. Everything was so calm, Dr Light was working in the lab and Megaman was right beside him. Soon mere seconds later Megaman started to make a strange face.

“Megaman, are you feeling, okay?”

“I think I have a fever.”

“OH NO MEGAMAN!”

“Ever since that day you haven't opened your eyes not even once.”

Roll sat near the side of the bed; her eyes stared at the sleeping face of her brother with sadness.

“Dr Light has been working tirelessly in the lab trying to make a cure, not only that but he is also dealing with the calls of people asking for you to deal with the infected robots. Luckily no one knows that you got infected as well. The mass panic when news gets around that you got Roboneza would make the situation even worse.”

Soon a loud crash interrupts Roll monologue. As she rushes to the window to see what causes the noise, she sees a strange machine has crashed onto their front yard. A strange machine with a very familiar skull design on it.

“DR WILY!!!”

Roll soon ran outside the room and grabbed every single weapon she could find.

“If he thinks he can just come here to personally announce his newest plan to take over the world he has another thing coming for him. He needs at least 20 rounds of my punches after putting grandpa in jail!”

A young girl with blonde hair, twin tails hair and blue eyes waits patiently for her guess. She wears a red jacket, a white undershirt, a red skirt, dark purple tights with yellow lining and black footwear. Adorning her head and holding up her twin tails is a head accessory resembling an ancient artifact and, in her hands, holds a tray with the food being hidden with a plate cover. Her name is Sherrice, and she is a survivor of the Atlampian Civilization.

“I hope this dish turns out well, Ms Hikari helped me out the best she could.”

Soon she heard the door open, and her guest walked in. Sherrice was surprised when she first saw him but after witnessing his abilities there was no doubt in her mind just exactly what the person in was, a survivor of Mu. During her stay with the Hikaris she learned how his name is Rogue and how he is basically living with them after Ms Hikari found him.

“What do you want with me” Rogue said in a harsh voice

“My name is Sherrice and just like you I don’t belong in this time period.”

Sherrice walks up to Rogue with the dish in her hand. “This is a dish that originated from Mu, I came to offer it to you.”

Rogue looked at the dish and only stared at it, as if this could all be a trap.

“It’s not poison, Ms Hikari even helped me make it. She even asked a local from Whazzap to get a better understanding on how to make the dish.”

Rogue soon took the dish and sat down at the table. He lifted the plate cover and put it in the side, taking a bite off the food. “Your people were a part of the invaders who drove us out of our land, even tried to take our power and failed to understand it.”

“When I was still living in Atlampian the civilization of Mu was treated as some sort of legend. EM wave technology was something that even our top scientist didn’t fully grasp compared to data.” Sherrice soon took a bit out of the plate. “This dish was something I remember eating before Atlampian got destroyed, someone claiming to be a descendent of Mu made it for me”

Soon both ate in silence for a while until Rogue spoke up “Why did you seek me out?”

“Both our civilizations are gone, and we both find ourselves in a world that is not our own. I figured that talking to someone in a similar situation would have been nice.” Sherrice responded

“Yet this world still runs on data just like yours did, from my view you are still the same as all those around us.” Rogue started to speak in a bitter tone “If you think sharing a meal will make me want to form a connection with you then go find someone else, I don’t need these connection or bonds”

“How ignorant” Sherrice responded in annoyance over Rouge words. “You shouldn’t underestimate bonds or connections. It is because of those that the people in the future still stand strong. It is also something that will last even in the far future and connects us to the past.”

Sherrice recalls the events that happened with Nobody. How Lan's connection with Megaman causes him to defeat the Trojan Horse and how Nobody manages to change his ways after witnessing the survivors live on and her mother jewel. Looking into Rouge eyes confident builds up within her

“Even if both our civilizations are gone, they still live on because of the connection we had with them. Just like us the people in this time period carry our history and culture. I wouldn’t dismiss it if I were you.”

A harsh frown appeared in Rogue's face. He got up and left the table leaving the room. Bonds, connection those are still as worthless as ever. No matter what everyone tells him.
