Your hands were held tightly between Damian’s large form on one side and Rhea’s strong grasp on the other.
So different, they were, but the love you could feel radiating from both of them was similar.
You’d been to Disney World a ton of times since joining WWE and moving to Orlando. However, going to Disney World with Damian and Rhea was something you hadn’t had the joy of doing yet.
Until today.
You had a Disney themed t-shirt on and a pair of socks on your feet that matched those of Damian and Rhea.
Damian refused to wear matching t-shirts, and Rhea didn’t want a Minnie headband to give her a headache… So the three of you settled on matching socks with the big Disney castle on them.
Damian had found alcohol the second you got into the parks. It was the first stop you made on the way to the back of Animal Kingdom.
Epcot was Damian’s favorite, so that was where you went after doing the Safari Tour and walking through the Avatar land. Under further thought, he just knew that was where he could get himself something else good to drink.
A frozen margarita being his second drink, at 10am, was an interesting choice. But you knew he’d loosen up the longer you were there. And once he was sipping on his drink, he was happily holding your hand as you dragged him through the crowds of Epcot.
Rhea, on the other hand, was itching to get on one of the big rides. She’d complained, “All the fun ones are at Hollywood Studios!”
“Isn’t that the other park?” Damian squinted, sipping his drink.
“You’re thinking of Universal Studios,” You explained, poking Rhea in the ribs, “We can hit that after lunch!”
“Yeah, so Rips can barf on me,” Damian teased.
“You’ll like the Aerosmith one,” She told Damian.
You dragged them to the boat ride in the Mexico pavilion, already interested in escaping the Florida sun. Damian hammered back the rest of his margarita, a cheeky smile on his face as the three of you piled into one of the ride boats.
It was a dark ride, full of hints of Mexican culture and history, with a few Disney characters narrating and entertaining along the way.
Damian’s hand found your thigh pretty quickly and you ignored his touchy-ness. Maybe smashing a Disney strength margarita wasn’t the smartest thing for him to do, but it was Disney World! If there was ever a place to be childish…
Damian laughed at all the jokes, because of course he did.
“We’re going to do the Guardians of the Galaxy one after this,” Rhea whispered to you halfway through the ride.
And you did. Damian didn’t throw up the margarita, and he and Rhea laughed through the entire ride.
Being in a group of three usually meant one of you would have to sit alone on some rides. You’d decided on taking turns sitting next to one another, but once Damian got another drink in his hand, he was pretty happy to sit outside the line for the next ride you and Rhea chose.
You knew he only bailed because it was a ride in which you lifted up off of the ground, but by the time you were done with that one, Damian was waiting with a tray full of lunch food in one hand and some sort of plant themed cocktail for you in the other.
His fear of heights persevered when you took the gondola ride over to the next park. The car you were in was themed Monsters Inc., and Rhea wouldn’t stop imitating the voices of the characters as the car began to move.
You just held Damian’s hand, smiling at the horrified expression on his face. He looked up at the ceiling, his feet planted firmly on the ground of the car. You and Rhea sat on the opposite side of him to maintain perfect balance.
“Allwayssss watchinnggg!” Rhea mimed the characters from Monsters Inc., kicking Damian in the shin.
“He’s gonna kill you,” You told her, nudging her foot away as you tried not to laugh.
“Yeah, if we don’t die in this fucking death machine of death first,” Damian glanced out the window to his left and immediately closed his eyes.
“Put that thing back where it came from or so help me!” Rhea imitated Mike Wazowski, closing one eye for character accuracy, and began poking you in the ribs. You burst into laughter, scrambling away from her touch, causing the car to swing a little more than it had been.
“Cut it out Rhea!” Damian nearly shrieked like a little girl.
Rhea was tempted to push his fears, you could tell, but after a genuinely nervous glare from Damian and a pleading look from you, she began talking about the next available roller coasters to take his mind off of the distance between the three of you and solid ground.
“Star Wars! Let’s do that one!” Rhea insisted, “Come on, Priest! What man doesn’t like Star Wars?”
Damian looked away from the ceiling long enough to glare at her.
You squeezed his hand and leaned over to kiss his cheek.
“Aerosmith first,” Damian said sharply, as if he was worried any more movement from his mouth would tip the entire gondola over.
It was Rhea’s turn to sit alone on a ride, and a sweet pre-teen sat beside her on the roller coaster. After the ride was over, the young girl nervously asked for an autograph from all three of you. Damian insisted on letting her mom snap a picture of the four of you outside the ride before you all hopped over to the back of the line at Tower of Terror.
“Nope.”
You frowned at Damian, “Cmon, it’s so secure.”
“Absolutely not,” He said again, crossing his arms, “I’ll hold your things and buy as many souvenirs as you want, mi amor. But I am not riding that.”
Rhea just hooked her arm through yours, stuck her tongue out at Damian, and pulled you to the line.
There ended up being a super cute picture of the two of you on the ride, which Rhea made quick work of saving to her phone before you found Damian nearby with yet another drink.
“Are you trying to get drunk?” Rhea teased him, squeezing his shoulder before reaching for the cup. She took a sip of the cocktail, humming in approval.
“Preparing to get back on the death swings,” He pouted.
You rolled your eyes at him, reaching to take your own sip of his drink, “We aren’t going on the gondolas yet. Next stop is Star Wars!”
The three of you made your way over to the Star Wars land. Both you and Damian got a little distracted by the show that a villain character actor was doing, something about a woman commanding a space that way made you both a little giggly.
Or maybe it was the alcohol in your systems.
Rhea kept pushing the two of you forward, towards the newest ride they had there. It was awesome, even Damian had a look of child-like wonder in his eyes as the ride went along, feeling almost like a real escape from Kylo Ren.
After that ride, it was afternoon time, and you either needed a nap or to sit down for an hour straight.
The decision was made to go back to Epcot to ride the air conditioned dark rides until one of you had enough energy to drag the others back on the wild rides.
You held Damian’s hand on the gondolas again, this time letting him get a little handsy to keep himself distracted.
That, and, you’d had another drink. A total of four for him and two and a half for you, and despite Rhea’s efforts to keep the both of you hydrated, you were feeling it now.
Rhea sat on her phone while you and Damian made out in the gondola, not missing the chance to kick Damian in the shin when he made a noise that was a little too loud for her liking.
“There’s probably a camera in here somewhere,” She said when you climbed out of the glass car, smiling politely at the college-aged worker who waved you three away.
“Whatever,” You shrugged, skipping happily towards the next series of rides on your list.
Once dinner time hit, you took the monorail train over to Magic Kingdom. It was the main park, and the only one that didn’t sell alcohol. Damian pouted a little, but when the three of you finally got to see the castle, he relaxed a little.
The sun was beginning to set, and the heat was starting to come down.
You had dinner at one of the fancy restaurants, with princesses Belle and Aurora wandering around the dining hall as you ate your meals.
You talked and laughed and made plans for the end of your night together.
The fireworks show was the last thing on the agenda, and there was a few hours until that started.
“Pirates of the Caribbean is the best ride here,” Rhea argued, crossing her arms. Her half eaten dinner sat on the plate in front of her.
“Nope. Gotta be Space Mountain,” Damian argued.
“You can barely even fit on there, honey,” You teased.
He rolled his eyes, “Well what do you think the best ride is then, amor?”
He was taunting you, waiting for you to say an answer so he could dispute it.
After checking to make sure there were no children or innocent princesses nearby, you answered, “You are, handsome.”
Damian began choking on his food, and Rhea just laughed at his misfortune.
He coughed away his shock at your statement, his cheeks a little red as both you and Rhea laughed at him.
“So, Pirates next?” Rhea grinned.
You rode Pirates of the Caribbean, Thunder Mountain Railroad, and the log chute ride that Damian had to be forced onto.
A quick trip to a gift shop had all of you changing into matching t-shirts now, anything being better than the drenched shirts from the water rides.
You walked around the store, your own new t-shirt in your hand, when you spotted a wall full of Minnie ears.
They weren’t just any Minnie ears, though. All of them were crowns of all sorts. Half of them were princess crowns, the other half were from other brands like Marvel, Star Wars, and various villains.
One stood out to you, and you reached for it. The headband piece was gold, as was most of the crown, but the jewels and gems on it were different shades of purple. The tag on it read ‘Rapunzel’. It made you think of Damian.
The second he approached you, you were reaching up and placing the headband atop his head.
He didn’t fight with you, just raised an eyebrow as Rhea skipped over to the two of you.
“Awhh,” She laughed at Damian, “Pretty princess!”
Rhea reached for her own Minnie crown, except the one she grabbed was a dark and edgy one that clearly belonged to some villain. As she put it onto her own head, you read the tag that said ‘Maleficent’.
You just beamed at the two of them as they both began looking at the wall, discussing amongst each other what headband crown would be the best for you.
Rhea pointed at one near the top, and Damian’s tall frame pulled it off of its hook, a satisfied grin on his face.
It was the most extravagant one, gold jewels and red roses put together into the crown. The tag read ‘Aurora’, though you already knew that was her crown when you’d seen it.
Damian bought all of the merchandise, and the three of you took the time to change into the dry shirts. They were black, which was Rhea’s decision, and they all had the Mickey Mouse logo in white. It was subtle, but clear.
When the fireworks show started, the three of you stood off to the side (so Damian didn’t block some poor child from seeing with his stupidly long legs). You were sandwiched between the two of them, with Damian standing solidly behind you, his chest to your back and his hands on your hips, and Rhea in front of you, your arms wrapped around her waist and head against her shoulder.
It felt good to be with the two of them, watching the show in each other's arms. Damian shamelessly placed kisses against your head every few minutes, and Rhea shamelessly held your arms to her, like she’d die if you let go.
You posted a picture on your social media that night, a shot of the three of you smiling in front of the castle after the firework show. A kind mom offered to take the photo for you, and you were all too excited for the opportunity.
All of you were wearing your matching socks, matching t-shirt, and Minnie crown headbands. Even Damian kept his on, and flashed one of the cutest smiles you’d ever seen from him for the photo.
You’d captioned it: ‘Four parks, three princesses!’
Rhea reposted with the comment: ‘My pretty princess <3. And then there’s Priest.’
Damian reposted with the comment: ‘Future Princess(s) of the Ring?’
