According to Earth Kingdom records, Opal Beifong was born in Zaofu in 154 AG. The only daughter of Suyin and Bataar Beifong, she was gifted with airbending at Harmonic Convergence in 171 AG.
In truth, Opal Beifong was born in secret on Kyoshi Island in 154 AG. The only child of Lin Beifong and the first daughter of Tenzin, son of Avatar Aang, she proved to be an airbender at the age of three. She would not meet her birth parents for a further fourteen years.
