Telena wouldn't be caught dead in a fancy-schmancy dress, she would rather slit someone’s throat than be forced to wear this thing.
Yet here she was, begrudgingly wearing the very thing she hated, at least it was black. Princess Temira had picked it out for Telena to wear for her 25th birthday party. As much as Telena refused to wear the dress, she took one look into those lime green eyes and Telena knew she was dead then.
Telena finished applying her makeup (all black of course) when Temira burst the door open. Telena would rather scratch someone’s face off again than admit she hissed at Temira for scaring the hell out of her.
Temira smirked that annoying smirk of hers. Telena felt a bloom of rosy blush explode on her cheeks, she didn’t try to hide it though, for she knew Temira had already seen.
“Hi, Beautiful. Did I scare you?”
Telena’s ear twitched. “No, why would I be scared?”
Temira walked closer to Telena, she could feel her heart beating heavily in her chest.
Temira looked her up and down, not-so-subtly checking her out. “Then why did you hiss? That means you were scared, right?”
Telena rolled her eyes, she wasn’t going to win this was she?
“Ok, so maybe you scared the crap out of me, so what?”
“Just wanted you to be honest, that’s all. I love your dress, by the way. It brings out the green in your eyes.”
Temira winked a flirty wink at Telena before sashaying to the door. But stopped at the doorway before turning to Telena and blowing a kiss at her.
“See you later Darling, we’re having cake in five minutes!”
Then she was gone, out the door as if nothing happened. Telena sighed long-sufferingly. The blush on her cheeks increased tenfold.
That Princess is going to be the death of her….

Telena watches Temira from the corner of the ballroom, like the stalker she is. She’s chatting with Trudy and Tracy, laughing and having a good time. If Telena wasn’t such a socially awkward weirdo, she would go up to Temira, have a lovely conversation and maybe kiss her on the lips.
Telena feels a rosy warmth bloom on her cheeks at the single thought of kissing Princess Temira on the lips. She can’t help but let out a happy little purr, a wave of pure bliss and euphoria washes over Telena.
She continues watching Temira from her little stalker corner, she’s still chatting with Trudy and Tracy. Telena doesn’t know what they’re talking about, but Temira suddenly looks in her direction and their eyes meet. Telena can’t look away, for those beautiful lime green eyes are piercing into her soul, they can see all the secrets and insecurities she hides from the world.
Slow waltz music starts to play in the ballroom, everyone goes off to find a partner and start dancing. Telena watches as Trudy and Tracy go on their own to dance together. Temira turns her attention back to Telena and slowly makes her over. Telena may look cool, calm and collected on the outside, but on the inside she’s panicking, looking for all exits to get the hell out of this ballroom and never return.
But Telena stays frozen in her place, unable to move. Telena then decides to stop running and accept her fate, it was inevitable that she would be stuck in this situation, there was a very high chance of it happening and it did. Telena accepts Temira’s offered hand, and they start to dance.
“So, I saw you staring at me earlier, what? Are you a stalker now?”
There’s a playful smirk on Temira’s face and Telena knows she’s messing with her. Telena smiles in return, all teeth and sharp fangs.
“Oh, was I? I don’t know, maybe I was looking at your butt, maybe I wasn’t.”
“So you were staring at me! Honestly, I’m not surprised.”
Telena raises an eyebrow. “What’s so wrong with that? I thought you liked me, Princess!”
Telena raises one hand to her forehead in mock offence. She risks a glance at Temira, who just rolls her eyes.
They continue to dance together in silence, getting lost in each other’s eyes. The world was theirs and theirs alone, theirs to conquer and rule. Telena felt like she was on cloud nine, dancing with the girl of her dreams. Temira twirls, pirouetting like the graceful ballerina she is. Telena watches in complete awe and aspiration, marveling at her skills.
Telena wishes she had the skills and grace Temira did, but her stupid lame leg makes it impossible to move with the speed and agility of Temira, but it’s fun to try and mirror her movements. To push herself beyond her limits and be one with Temira and transport her to another world.
A loud cry of bloody murder had Telena crashing back into reality hard. At first, she thought she was drunk off of catnip, but then remembered she hadn’t brought any catnip with her. No, Telena was drunk with pure love and adoration for the most beautiful girl in the world.
Telena had no idea what was going on, for everyone was crying and screaming as if someone had just died. But there were no dead bodies and no blood, so what was everyone screaming about?
“SPIDER!”
Telena turned around at the scream and that’s when she saw it, a little spider in all its freakish nature. Tracy tried to step on the spider to kill it, but when that didn’t work, Trudy ran it over with her wheelchair. When it sprung back to life, good as new, Trudy and Tracy both hissed at it, their tails erect and on edge.
Telena felt a slight shiver run down her spine. Spiders were the devil and deserved the worst death imaginable, whoever thought it was a good idea to put these monsters on the planet needed their face scratched off.
“What the hell is going on here?!”
Temira emerged from the bathroom’s doors, a gun in her hand. Wait, a gun?! Where did she get a gun from? What was she going to do with it? So many questions bounced around in Telena’s head, she watched as Temira walked past her.
Temira walked up to Trudy and Tracy, who are now crying at this point. Temira cocked the gun, turned to wink at Telena and fired the gun.
Silence reigned in the ballroom, a pin drop could be heard, so quiet, yet so loud. A smoking hole took its place where the spider once was.
Everyone was staring at Temira like she was crazy. Telena, however, was looking at her like a Goddess. She walked up to Temira, looking into her gargantuan gorgeous green eyes.
Her dreams were finally coming true…
Telena was on cloud nine again. Temira’s lips on hers were magical, maybe she was a Goddess, either that or she was just a really good kisser. Whatever, it didn’t matter though, Telena was kissing the girl of her dreams and she wouldn’t trade this feeling for all the gold, rubies and catnip in the world.
When they pull back for air, they both stare at each other, drinking in the other’s beauty.
“You’re an awesome kisser, you know that?”
Temira smirked at Telena, and this time she knew she wasn’t messing with her.
“I know, I’ve been practicing.”
Temira held out her hand in offering.
“Shall we have this dance?”
With the chaotic cacophony of their friends cheering for them in the background, Telena and Temira continued their waltz before they were so rudely interrupted.
But there was one question that still lingered on Telena’s mind.
“How are you so good with a gun? And where did you get it from?”
Temira smiled, but it was sad, it lacked its usual coy playfulness.
“It’s my mom’s, she gave it to me before she and dad left me. The only goodbye I got from them was a note saying I was on my own and that they wanted nothing to do with me. This gun was her parting gift.”
Telena smiled, gently caressing Temira's cheek.
“Well screw them, they don’t deserve you. I’ll claw their eyes out before they even think of messing with you.”
Temira just laughed as Telena smiled evilly. The thought of meeting Temira’s parents and giving them a run for their money made her giddy.
For now, though, she and Temira continued their waltz, laughing and cursing into the night.
And they lived happily ever after…
THE END~
