Heaven

The Archangels were seated in the conference room waiting for Raphale’s report concerning his trip to hell. Raphale began by telling everyone about the success of the hotel, how he participated in group therapy and other events to get a better understanding of the sinners, before saying bluntly, “Emily is in hell. Sera banished her to hell in the hopes of preventing her lies from being exposed.” Azrael, who had a soft spot for Emily, slammed her fist on the table in anger. “How dare she do this! Sera will pay for this!” Uriel put a calming hand on his sister’s arm, saying, “She will.” Raphale cleared his throat slightly as everyone turned their attention back to him. “Our brother was not happy to see me. If it hadn’t been for Emily and Lucifer’s husband, I would be dead.” “Husband?” Michael asked. Raphale sighed but continued, “It turns out that eons ago, Lucifer and Lilith divorced. Lucifer went and lived in the realm of the living, only returning to hell when required to do so. He met Alastor Hartfelt, fell in love, and got married.” “Wait a minute,” Michael said in disbelief. “If this was the case, how did Lilith manage to rule hell for so long?” “She erased their memories, convincing Lucifer that Charlie was their daughter and Alastor to sell his soul to her.”

It had been a week since Sera’s trial had started. On the third day, she was informed that there would be a slight delay. Sera was furious. Couldn’t they see she only had Heaven's best interest in mind? The only hope she had now was Lilith and Lute; if they failed, all would be lost. She got up as she noticed Gabriel approaching her cell. “What do you want, Gabriel?” she asked coldly, crossing her arms across her chest in a defensive manner. He smiled at her in a sinister manner before saying, “I am merely here to inform you that you will be charged with the illegal banishment of Emily to Hell. Once Lilith has been apprehended, we will continue with your trial; Lucifer will be in attendance regarding your crimes against Hell. Unfortunately, Lute has sold her soul and will be spared.” “I had no choice!” Sera shouted. Gabriel raised an eyebrow in disbelief before saying, “That remains to be seen.” Once Gabriel had left, she sank to the floor in despair.

Michael sat in his room in a state of shock. Somehow, Raphale had convinced Lucifer to read his letter. He couldn’t wait to see his twin and meet his family. It would be impossible to mend the bridges destroyed by their father, but hopefully, they could start anew.

Hell

Lucifer sat on the bed of his and Alastor’s bedroom, leaning into Alastor’s side. The letter lay on the side forgotten. It had been a bittersweet reunion with Raphale. Looking up at Alastor, Lucifer began, “I read the letter; Michale claims he had no choice, that father wanted to rip my soul apart.” Alastor sighed, kissing his husband on the forehead. “I invited Michale over; despite what he did or was forced to do, I miss him.” “No matter what you decide, mon petit ange, you will always have my support." Lucifer sighed, breaking apart their embrace. “Raguel sent me a letter. She requested I sit in regarding Sera’s crimes against Hell.” Alastor hummed thoughtfully. “It makes sense; you are the ruler of Hell.” Lucifer nodded in agreement. “I will let her know, as long as you can accompany me.”

It had been a week since Lilith had sent Lute out to scout the surrounding area. After three days, she soon realized that Lute was not coming back. Lilith had tried getting in touch with Sera but was unable to. Balling her hands into a fist, she thought to herself, “I will shut that silly Hotle even if I have to do it on my own.”

Adam was shouting at Lute, demanding to know why she hadn’t used this opportunity to kill Lucifer. Lute looked away sadly, rubbing her hand on her arm. “I sold my soul, sir; if I had killed Lucifer, my soul would have been ripped apart.” Adam looked stunned. “You sold your soul…but why?” he asked in confusion. “I returned to hell with Lilith under Sera’s orders. We were given orders to destroy the hotel and anyone who got in our way. I was scouting the surrounding area when I found you. The only way for me to get the help you need was to sell my soul to The Radio Demon. I am sorry, sir.” Lute turned around, heading to breakfast, leaving a confused Adam behind. He stood there, frustrated at what Lute had done for him; if the situation had been reversed, he would have let her die. “Stupid bitch,” he muttered under his breath, following Lute to breakfast.

The residents of the hotel were enjoying the evening meal, discussing the events of the day. Charlie was extremely happy with the way things were going despite Adam and Lute’s lack of cooperation during group therapy. She got up to get some more wine for herself and Vaggie but stopped when she heard a loud knock on the door. Charlie gasped in shock as she recognized the angel in front of her; he looked exactly like her father. The only difference was the colour of his cheeks and the missing top hat. "Uncle Michael?" she asked. "Yes, that would be me," Michael responded, taking a step back as Charlie squealed in delight and hugged him. "I am Charlie, your niece! I am so excited to meet you!"
