Kinger: "Oh, this adventure has bugs!"
Ragatha: "Yeah, this one might be the easiest adventure we've had."
Gangle: "So many pretty butterflies!"
All of them, except Jax, were chasing the butterflies and collecting them in their nets.
Jax saw Pomni walking towards the group so he put his leg out in front of her and she immediately tripped.
But, she got up and dusted herself off, continuing to join the others.
She didn't even look at him!
What's going on with everyone?
During every adventure, Jax kept trying to get a reaction out of the other circus members. But they were silent, they only talked to each other.
No one even talked to him anymore. He started to feel like he was invisible. He was alone, more alone than ever before. Maybe he should try talking to Caine.
For once in his digital life, the purple rabbitoid wants to talk about his feelings in front of another person. So, he waits until everyone goes to their rooms before he goes to find the ringmaster.
Jax: "Caine?"
It's super quiet. Way too quiet.
Jax: "Caine, please!"
His voice started to break and he felt like crying. He wanted someone to look at him again. It didn't matter if they liked him or not. He just wanted to be seen.
Then, the ringmaster popped up in front of him.
Caine: "What's on your mind?"
Jax: "Everyone else has been ignoring me. Did I do something wrong? Do they hate me that much?"
Caine: "I don't know why they won't talk to you anymore. I'm sorry, I don't think I can fix that. But, I can show you what the others have gone through."
Jax: "How is that-"
Caine sent the two of them into the coding room where the circus characters' memories are.
Jax: "What is-"
Caine: "Let's start with Gangle. When you break her comedy mask, how does that make her feel?"
Jax: "Sad, but everyone cries so I don't see why I should care about that."
Caine: "Jax, that's not what I- *sighs* Nevermind."
Caine: "What about Zooble?"
Jax: "Oh that's easy. I tell a joke and they always get mad at me because of it."
Caine: "Do you really think that hurting their feelings is funny?"
Jax: "Well, yeah. It's free entertainment!"
Caine: "Ragatha?"
Jax: "Oh, now we're getting somewhere! Dollface is really fun to mess with because she never knows what's going on until she's embarrassed herself."
Caine: "Kinger?"
Jax: "He's crazy and doesn't even know what's going on most of the time. Always hiding in that stupid pillow fort of his."
Caine: "Pomni?"
Jax: "Really?" The rabbit crosses his arms.
Caine nods.
Jax: "Ugh! The jester is just an overdramatic mess. There. Ya happy?"
Caine shows Jax the memories of the circus members that he's bullied. All of them are really sad, but Jax doesn't care. Then, the ringmaster shows memories of Jax's first day at the circus.
Jax had forgotten about that day. He was really scared. He was even more stressed out than Pomni. But then a clown looking character comes towards the scared rabbit.
As Jax watches the memory of his first day at the circus, he can hear Kaufmo talking to a younger version of himself.
Past Kaufmo: "Hey, it's gonna be alright. This happens to everyone. I'm Kaufmo."
Past Jax: "I'm-" Past Jax realizes that he doesn't remember his name.
Past Kaufmo: "It's okay, kid. You can choose a new name."
Past Jax: "Then, I want to be called Jax."
Then, the memory shows a chess piece that had just lost his wife the day before coming closer to the two characters.
Past Kinger: "My name's Kinger. It's very nice to meet you Jax."
Past Gangle: "And I'm Gangle! Welcome to the circus, Jax!"
The memory shows a bunch of happy moments from Jax's past.
Kaufmo and him telling each other jokes. Him and Kaufmo making the other circus members laugh after a hard day.
Him, Kaufmo, Gangle, Kinger, Zooble, and Ragatha having a picnic outside of the circus tent.
The time when he invited Kaufmo, Ragatha, and Gangle to a sleepover in his room.
As his happy memories played, he felt like someone ripped his heart out and shoved it back in his chest. His rabbit ears were pinned to the back of his head.
Caine stopped the memories from showing anything else.
Caine: "So, how do you think your cast mates feel after you prank them?"
Jax: "I...."
His voice was really quiet now. He tried to make his voice sound like it normally was but that wasn't working.
Jax: "I just made them feel worse. They could've abstracted because of me. It's all my fault."
Caine decided that Jax had seen enough memories and sent him back to the circus.
Jax went to the other members' rooms and apologized to all of them for hurting their feelings.
All of them were shocked at first, but then smiled at him and accepted his apology.
Kinger: "I always knew you'd go back to being the kind Jax that I became friends with."
Jax: "Yeah, I realized that what I've been doing is wrong and I want to be friends again."
Kinger: "We should have a sleepover like we used to have. Maybe we can make s'mores this time with Pomni!"
Jax: "Yeah, that'd be nice."
