Work Text:
“What are you doing?” Bodhi asked as he walked into the room Ridoc and Sawyer shared.
Ridoc didn’t look up from the tree he knelt in front of in the corner of the room, meticulously spreading out the branches evenly. He explained, “Decorating.”
“But it’s November 1st,” Bodhi said.
Sawyer, who was sitting on his bed reading a book, said, “I already had this argument with him. I doubt it will go any differently for you.”
Ridoc glared at his roommate, then at Bodhi. “Don’t tell me you’re a Solstice grinch, too. November is a perfectly reasonable time to put up a tree.”
“Yeah, the end of November,” Bodhi retorted.
Before Ridoc could respond, Sawyer said, “Look, I’m gonna save you the amount of time I wasted on this conversation, Bodhi. Neither of you is going to convince the other. So if you can’t beat him, join him. Or ignore him like me.”
Bodhi considered it for a moment. Then, sighing, he walked over to the box filled with ornaments and began decorating the tree. Ridoc grinned at him and did the same.
