My life line, my world

Summary:

Francias and Aurther had been falling apert for a long time, this was the final straw.

Notes:

Enmies to lovers! YAY!

Work Text:

Francis had always smoked a lot. Between class, between meals, whenever he got the chance. Arthur couldn't understand why he enjoyed it, why francias would willingly let himself get addicted to them. Whenever asked Fracias said he liked the feeling, whatever that meant. And it concerned Arthur.

“I thought you quit?” Arthur asked as he and his boyfriend  walked through the cold park in mid winter. Francias had pulled a box of cigars and offered Arthur one but he just looked at him.

“I said that to your little brother, not to you. Mathew is too concerned for his own good.” Franicas pulled a liar out and lit it.

“Sometimes his concern is justified. Those kill you, you know.” Authere put his hands into his winter coat that was a lot more practical and better at keeping the cold out than his lover's more stylish one.

Francias sighed and pulled the cigar out of his mouth which made some smoke that resembled Arthur’s war breath in the freezing air. “It’s not gonna kill me, I’m still young and it will only kill me if I’m addicted.”

“You seem addicted.”

Francias walked over to the trash bin and puts it into the snow to engstinwish it before throwing it in the trash as to not set something on fire. He puts his hands up in a kind of surender and a you happy? Kinda way.

“You want me to tell you good job? Congrats, you're not an addict.” Francias walked over to Arthur and they started walking the snowy park path again as Pracias put some gum in his moth so that the smell in his breath goes away.

Arthur can still smell it in his clothes.

There was a time when Fracias smelt like roses.

But not anymore.

Francias kissed Arthur repeatedly all over his face. His parents were not here so they were having a lovely night at his house.

Arthur had a look of bliss on his face that he hadn't seen in a long time. Arthur was an asshole but a lovely one with perfect feachers and a lovely personality other than the fact that he was an asshole. Fracias loved being around Arthur and his dreamy guitar skills.

One time Arthur had tried to teach Francais guitar but it had turned out horrible and now Fracias no longer wanted to go near the guitar and just watch Arthur play.

Arthur had played guitar for him that night and that's why Francias was giving his boyfriend the thank you he deserved.

Arthur had been less of an asshole recently, more sad. He didn't want to do things, there wasn't as much physical affection or even emotional stuff.

Francias was really glad he had come tonight.

As he started to remove his shirt Arthur gave a little smile that disappeared when francais grabbed his long sleeve shirt to tear it off.

“Stop” Arthur backed away and pulled his sleeves down.

“Why?”  Francias looked over at Arthur and eyed his wrist suspiciously.

“Because I can't.” Arthur backed away and towards the door a bit.

“Show me your wrist.”

“What?”

Francias stepped closer to Arthur who had a look of panic on his face when he froze. Francias got next to Arthur and pulled up his sleeves. “A said show me your- Oh Arthur. “ Francias looked at the bandages that were poorly wrapped around his boyfriend's wrist.

Arthur pulled away and headed out the door. “I have to go and make sure the boys went to sleep. Bye.” Arthur ran out the door as Francias chased him and failed to catch up.

As Francias looked at the street where Arthur had gone (probably run already a block by now with how fast he is when keeping up with his siblings) and made Francias think.

Arthur was happy once.

That was the past now.

Francias sighed as he tried to do his hair to make his bruised forehead not obvious. Last night his father came home drunk and had smacked him into a counter which was very painful.

He looks at his reflection which had been modified with the makeup he buys at the same counter store he gets his cigars from. As he heads out the door making sure not to wake his dad or get in the way of his mom he has one thing on his mind, Arthur.

The world was always better with him around even if there had been a more distinct sense he found out about the thing. The world was Particularly horrible and francis wants to make someone else's world better.

“Smoking again?”

“Arthur! Can we hang out today? Maybe go for a walk in the park like we did a month ago.”

Arthur looks at him and walks away ignoring him. The rest of the day works like that, Francias trying to catch up while Arthur just ignores him until.

Francias was in the bathroom when Arthur walked in. “There you are, you weren't in class.” Francias smiles but something seems to snap in Arthur.

“Leave me alone”

“What?”

“I SAID LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE” Arthur stomps out of the room leaving Francias olne.

He just wanted love.

Arthur had almost been caught by his brother last night, he was very upset how he couldn't get all his anger away and had taken it out on Francis and was starting to regret it.

“Have you seen Francias?” He desperately asked Felciano who was looking at him with confusion and doubt.

“Are you going to apologize, bastard?” Romano asked with an angry and defencive look on his face, and while the freshmen was hardly threatening by his looks alone it was common knowledge to not fuck with someone who Romano cares about.

“Yes, I-”

“Then he's in the empty music room with Antonio .” Feliciano siad with a hopeful look on his face that contrasted his brother's death stare as the teen rushed to the music room.

When Arthur comes into the room and heares Francias threw the door.

“He never pays attention, he doesnt seem to give a fuck and I hate him! ” It sounds like the end to a long rant that Arthur didn't need to hear the entire thing to understand.

Forgetting why he came here he opened the door and yelled angrily at a very surprised Francais and Antonio. “You know what if that's how it is, I hate you too!” He angrily walks away from the french boy who at first begs him to come back and then starts cussing him out in french.

That day Arthur lost his life line.

That day Francias lost his world.
