Shadow was just skating along, trying to get his daily exercise in, when he suddenly hit a tree.
Normally, this wouldn't have been an issue, but it was winter in Green Hill Zone and snow had built up on the leaves so, when he hit the tree, a bunch of snow avalanched and suddenly he was stuck under three feet of the stuff.
He clawed enough to where he could breathe and call for help but any attempt to get out was futile, even with his powers. He was really and truly stuck.
Eventually, Sonic happened to be running by and heard his cries for help.
Shadow was rather peeved to see that the blue hedgehog was the one that found him but ultimately still glad to finally be free from the snow.
"What happened?" Sonic asked as Shadow brushed the last bit of snow out of his quills. Shadow just snarled and ran off.
Sonic chuckled to himself and went back home.
