Caitlyn didn't know much of the specifics, as Vi didn't particularly like to talk about it, but she knew that Stillwater had been bad, especially with Vi having been thrown in unfairly at such a young age.
There was an edge to Vi that could only come from trauma, and there were many little moments Caitlyn bore witness to that showed clear signs of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. It was something the poor woman would be stuck with for the rest of her life, but Caitlyn silently vowed to support her through all of it.
Still, something that was less immediately clear was that Vi had developed rather severe skin hunger because of it.
Touch starvation made plenty of sense, once it clicked in Caitlyn's head that this was another factor into things. After all, Vi wouldn't have gotten much touch for years, aside from that which she would get in fights. It made sense even more, then, that Vi was so jumpy around touch.
Caitlyn noticed, though, once the initial jolt wore off, Vi would lean into any form of touch, her body desperate for it after so many years fending for herself.
"Hey, cupcake" Vi spoke, pulling Caitlyn out of her thoughts. They were in bed together. Caitlyn had been sitting up, reading and contemplating on the matter of how touch-starved her girlfriend was when said girlfriend woke up next to her, immediately being clingy. "How'd you sleep?"
"I slept fine" Caitlyn responded, reaching over to put an arm around the shorter woman, who practically melted into the touch. "You? I didn't sense any nightmares last night"
"Yeah" Vi nodded with a small smile. "I slept well"
"Good"
