Work Text:

Lewis, a musician who had recently skyrocketed to fame, was currently on a whirlwind tour across Europe. He had performed in most of the continent’s major countries and their largest cities. Now, he found himself in the final big city of his German leg, preparing to head back to London for a much-needed and well-deserved break.

His appearance was as distinctive as his music. Lewis had neatly styled twists, his healthy hair often pulled back, especially during performances, to keep it tidy and out of the way. His tour outfits were a unique part of his brand—carefully curated to connect with the culture of each city he performed in. When in France, for example, his attire reflected elements of French culture, subtly woven into his stage presence. Each time he entered a new city or country, he added something to his outfit that symbolized the local heritage or what the region was famous for, creating a personal connection between his music and the place he performed.

Lewis’s last concert was in Berlin, Germany, marking the end of a long and exhausting European tour. For the occasion he and his team had planned he will wear an exquisite black suit, complete with a tailored blazer draped over it. The ensemble was striking, with a bold statement made by his earrings, which glimmered under the stage lights. Adding to the sophistication, a delicate strip of white lace fabric extended from his blazer, flowing diagonally from the right side to the left, giving him a distinguished and memorable presence on stage.

Though his performance radiated confidence and poise, behind the scenes, Lewis was utterly exhausted. He had been performing non-stop for two and a half months, pushing himself physically and emotionally to keep up with the relentless pace of the tour and the demands of the media. The pressure had become overwhelming. A few weeks prior, he stopped checking social media altogether, no longer able to bear the constant influx of opinions, praise, and criticism that followed his every move.

Sleep had become elusive, and the weight of his own music, charged with raw emotion, began to take its toll. Many of his songs came from deeply personal experiences, and there were nights when he struggled to hold back tears. The emotional burden was heavy. On the morning of the Berlin show, Lewis woke up determined not to cry that day, knowing he needed to gather his strength for one final performance before he could finally take a break.

Lewis dragged himself through the morning and into the rest of the day, feeling drained yet pushing forward. Most of the day was spent either inside, resting, or working with his team to finalize preparations for the show. There was one detail that was new this time: a sign language interpreter would be on stage with him. Though he had used interpreters in previous performances, this time he hadn’t met the person beforehand. He was simply informed that the interpreter would join him on stage, but in his tired state, he didn’t give it much thought.

The staging for his concerts had a signature look, consistent throughout the tour. A sleek white Ferrari, a visual focal point, sat on the stage alongside a sofa. The setup was minimalist yet eye-catching, creating an intimate atmosphere for his performances. Lewis had a habit of gently moving around the stage, sometimes walking slowly around the Ferrari, and other times sitting on the sofa, letting the music carry him wherever it took him. There were no backup dancers or elaborate choreography; his concerts weren’t that kind of show. It was all about the music, his voice, and the raw connection with the audience.

On this particular day, however, even those simple movements felt like a heavy task. As the hours ticked closer to the performance, he could feel the weight of his exhaustion settling deeper, but he knew he had to make it through this one last show.

As Lewis stood backstage, getting dressed, he could hear the crowd beginning to pour in, their voices rising in a wave of noise that shattered the brief moment of peace he had. The sound filled the air, a reminder of the immense expectations waiting for him on the other side of the curtain. He stared at himself in the mirror, his face reflecting both exhaustion and determination. A beautiful girl, his makeup artist, silently touched up the dark circles under his eyes, carefully concealing the signs of his sleepless nights.

He warmed up his vocal cords softly, his eyes following her every movement. There was an intensity in the moment, an almost personal connection as she worked quietly, her delicate hands moving with precision. It was as if they shared an unspoken understanding of his emotional state. When she finished, she gently wished him luck and quietly left the room, leaving him alone with his thoughts.

Inside, Lewis felt like he was crumbling. All he truly wanted was to sit down and let the tears fall, to release the pent-up emotions that had been building for weeks. But he couldn’t. The show was waiting, the crowd was waiting, and he couldn’t let them down. So he pushed the emotions aside, stood up, and began gathering himself for the performance. His hair was perfectly styled, his outfit flawless. Everything looked perfect on the outside.

But inside, he knew it wasn’t quite right.

Lewis stretched his body, trying to loosen the tension that had built up over the long day. With a deep breath, he stepped out onto the stage, forcing a wide smile despite the heaviness in his chest. The crowd erupted into cheers, the energy in the room overwhelming as he grabbed the wireless microphone from its stand.

“Hey, Berlin!” he shouted, and the audience’s roar grew even louder. Their excitement was palpable, as if they had been waiting for this moment for ages, and it only added to the pressure weighing on him.

Glancing to his left, he noticed the sign language interpreter—a tall blond man, dressed in a sleek black suit. The man blended into the atmosphere of the show but also stood out, his movements ready to mirror Lewis’s words for those who needed them. Lewis nodded slightly in acknowledgment before returning his focus to the crowd.

Despite the adrenaline in the room, Lewis felt his legs tremble beneath him. The exhaustion, the weeks of sleepless nights, and the emotional toll of the tour all crashed into him at once. He was so tired, but he had to keep going. This was the moment everyone had been waiting for, and he wasn’t going to let them down.

Lewis had made the decision to start the concert with his more high-energy songs, hoping to ignite the crowd and feed off their enthusiasm. The first song on the setlist was “Can’t Feel My Face,” and as the beat dropped, he stood in the center of the stage, bathed in a spotlight that illuminated both him and the sign language interpreter beside him. The blond man mirrored Lewis’s lyrics with smooth, expressive gestures, adding a new layer of connection for the audience.

For these hyped-up tracks, Lewis tried to keep his energy high. He spent much of the time walking across the stage, looking out into the sea of fans, or occasionally catching a glance at the camera filming him for the live broadcast. But with every step, he could feel his body protesting. His legs ached fiercely, each movement sending sharp reminders of how overworked and sore they had become. Still, he pressed on, not letting the pain show on his face, though inside he felt like his legs might give out at any moment.

As he transitioned from “Can’t Feel My Face” into “Call Out My Name,” “The Hills,” “Often,” “Die for You,” and “I Was Never There,” the relentless pace of the performance took its toll. Lewis was relieved to finally reach the more mellow section of his set. The slower, less physically demanding songs were coming up, and he couldn’t wait for the break in tempo. His body screamed for rest, but his mind pushed him to keep moving forward. The crowd was still buzzing, unaware of the silent battle he was fighting with his exhaustion. He was happy, though—happy to be getting closer to the songs that wouldn’t demand so much physicality, songs that allowed him to take a breath.

As Lewis transitioned into his song “Ivy,” he gently laid his body across the sofa, spreading out as he sang. His voice was softer now, the energy of the hyped-up songs behind him, and he let himself sink into the cushions, staying there for most of the track. The lights dimmed, casting a relaxed, almost intimate atmosphere over the stage as he stayed mostly still, letting the words carry the emotion.

When it came time for “Novacane,” Lewis stood up, gathering himself once more, and walked toward where the sign language interpreter stood. The blond man was translating his lyrics with fluid, precise movements, and Lewis, feeling a surge of connection, moved closer to him as he sang.

“Did-didn’t, I can’t feel nothin’, superhuman

Even when I’m fuckin’, Viagra poppin’

Every single record, autotunin’,” Lewis sang, his voice laced with the rawness of the lyrics. As he walked around the interpreter, his voice dipped slightly, pulling the crowd deeper into the moment.

“Zero emotion, muted emotion

Pitch-corrected, computed emotion,” he continued, moving slowly, his voice in sync with the interpreter’s gestures. As the instrumental section of the song played, Lewis took a brief moment to break character and leaned toward the interpreter, his voice warm with gratitude. “You’re doing real good,” he said, offering a nod of appreciation. The interpreter, caught off guard for a moment, smiled gently but continued his work, a quiet acknowledgment of the shared experience.

Without missing a beat, Lewis jumped back into the song, his movements now more relaxed, the brief exchange fueling him as he continued. The small moment of connection, though fleeting, brought a new warmth to the performance, even as his exhaustion lingered.

Lewis began singing “Bad Religion,” a deeply emotional song about unrequited love—his longing for another man that was never returned. The raw vulnerability in the lyrics resonated with the audience, but for Lewis, it also hit close to home, making each word feel heavier as he sang.

As he approached the part of the song that always hit hardest for him, he moved near the interpreter once again. The blond man was gracefully translating the words for the crowd as Lewis approached, his voice carrying the weight of the lyrics:

“If it brings me to my knees, it’s a bad religion, ooh…”

At that moment, Lewis let the exhaustion and emotion take over, and he slowly sank to his knees beside the interpreter, singing the words while kneeling on the stage. It was a powerful image—the artist, physically worn down, bowing as if the weight of the song itself had brought him to the ground. In reality, his legs could barely hold him anymore, the pain from weeks of constant performing becoming unbearable. Kneeling was not just a reflection of the lyric but also a much-needed relief for his aching body.

For nearly a full minute, he stayed in that position, singing with intensity, the crowd watching in silence as his voice echoed through the venue. When he finally found the strength to rise again, he didn’t make it far—he sat down on the edge of the stage, singing with the same passion but now feeling the comfort of resting his legs. His voice never wavered, and despite his physical exhaustion, his performance remained heartfelt and raw, each note carrying the depth of unfulfilled love and the weight of his personal struggle.

Though most fans knew that “Bad Religion” was about unrequited love, Lewis had always been careful to avoid confirming that it reflected his own experience as a bisexual man. He kept that part of his identity private, never allowing it to slip into the public sphere, despite the emotional transparency of his music.

As the final notes of “Bad Religion” faded, the opening chords of his next song, “Godspeed,” filled the venue, and Lewis felt his heart sink. He moved over to the white Ferrari on stage, his usual spot for moments of reflection, and sat on it, his body still aching from the relentless toll of the tour. Throughout the entire song, he stayed seated, trying to conserve what little energy he had left. His voice, usually so strong, began to falter slightly, wavering as he fought to keep it steady. The emotional intensity of the song, combined with his physical exhaustion, was overwhelming.

Tears welled up in his eyes as he sang, but he refused to let them spill. He had trained himself well in hiding those feelings from the crowd, even when the emotions threatened to break through. The audience, enraptured by his voice and the performance, had no idea of the silent struggle Lewis was enduring.

When “Godspeed” ended, Lewis slid off the Ferrari and began walking around the stage, trying to regain some composure before the next song. But as the first notes of “Seigfried” started, he knew it wasn’t going to be any easier. This song, too, was heavy with emotion, and the exhaustion of both his body and heart made every word feel like a mountain to climb. But he kept going, his voice carrying the depth of his feelings even as his body cried out for rest.

As “Wisemen” began, Lewis felt disoriented, like he was moving through a fog. The concert seemed endless, his exhaustion blurring the edges of time and reality. The weight of the song settled over him, making each lyric feel heavier than the last. His voice, strained with emotion, began to crack as he sang, almost crying out the words.

He walked towards the sign language interpreter again, drawn to him in this vulnerable moment. As he sang, his voice barely a whisper at times, he locked eyes with the interpreter and softly uttered, “But your mother would be proud of you.” His voice wavered with emotion, and he repeated it, “I bet your mother would be proud of you,” as if speaking to the interpreter personally, as if he needed to believe the words himself.

The weight of the song continued to press down on him, but Lewis knew the most difficult part was still ahead. His heart pounded as he moved across the stage, glancing at the crowd, his eyes shining with unshed tears. The audience was lost in the music, unaware of how close he was to breaking.

He finally reached the part of the song that tore at him the most, and with his voice thick with emotion, he sang the heartbreaking lines:

“You’re my brother but your eyes are cold

You’re my sister but your womb is bare

I bet our mother would be proud of you (you, you, you)

I bet our mother would be proud of you

(Our mother would be proud).”

The words lingered in the air, hanging like a bittersweet truth. Lewis could feel the tears threatening to spill over, his vision blurring as he pushed through the rest of the song. He couldn’t bear to look at the crowd for too long, knowing his emotional state would soon be impossible to hide.

Lewis took a quick sip of water, hoping to steady himself, but as he resumed singing, he stumbled over the next lyrics, the momentary distraction pulling him out of the emotional flow of the song. However, he pushed through the remaining parts, summoning the strength he had left to finish strong.

As he belted out the final lines, his voice was a mix of raw emotion and determination:

“You, you, you

You, you

Ooh

I bet your mother would be proud, ohh

I bet your mother would be proud, ooh.”

He hadn’t glanced at the interpreter during those last moments, focusing instead on the connection he felt with the crowd. Yet, he could sense the eyes of the interpreter on him, steady and supportive, mirroring the weight of the lyrics with the silent understanding that often passed between them during the performance.

With each note, the crowd seemed to resonate with the emotion, the atmosphere thick with shared feelings of longing and hope. Lewis knew he was laying himself bare on that stage, exposing his vulnerabilities through his music. The song ended, leaving a moment of palpable silence in its wake, a collective breath held as everyone felt the weight of the words linger in the air before the applause erupted, lifting him back up.

As the music stopped, Lewis sat down on the stage, his heart racing as he gently scanned the crowd. His hands were shaking, remnants of the emotional toll the previous songs had taken on him. With a deep breath, he asked, “Do we want something… a little more upbeat, huh?” The crowd cheered in response, their energy infectious, and he felt a spark of motivation ignite within him.

He rose to his feet and launched into the opening of his last song, “Pyramids.” The beat pulsed through him, and he felt the rhythm beckoning him to move. As he sang, his voice rang out powerfully, and he gently locked eyes with the audience, their enthusiasm driving him forward.

“Big sun coming strong through the motel blinds

Wake up to your girl

For now, let’s call her Cleopatra, Cleopatra

I watch you fix your hair

Then put your panties on in the mirror, Cleopatra

Then your lipstick, Cleopatra

Then your six-inch heels, catch her

She’s headed to the pyramid.”

He moved gracefully around the stage, feeling the lights shift to a more open, inviting glow. His legs, rejuvenated after sitting for a moment, carried him with renewed energy as the lyrics flowed effortlessly from his lips.

“You showed up after work, I’m bathing your body

Touch you in places only I know

You’re wet and you’re warm just like our bathwater

Can we make love before you go?”

As he continued, he glanced over at the interpreter, making brief eye contact before quickly breaking it and moving away. A strange feeling washed over him—vulnerability mixed with a sense of exposure.

The crowd was captivated, phones held high to capture the moment. Lewis felt the surge of energy from their adoration, feeding into his performance as he paced the stage, weaving through the sea of fans.

“You say it’s big but you take it,” he sang, then caught sight of a group of phones aimed at him, the light from their screens illuminating eager faces. A flicker of discomfort crossed his mind, but he pushed it aside, choosing to lean into the performance instead.

“Ride cowgirl…” he sang slowly, savoring the moment as he moved back to the center of the stage. Swaying gently, he poured himself into the closing lines:

“But your love ain’t free no more, baby

But your love ain’t free no more.”

Once The final notes hung in the air as he embraced the audience, feeling their energy wash over him. Despite the exhaustion that lingered in his bones, this moment was electric, and he was determined to savor every second of it.

“Thank you, guys…” Lewis said, his voice strained but heartfelt. The exhaustion was evident on his face, and all he could think about was how much he wanted to go home. “You’ve been such a good crowd…” He gently walked off the stage, the deafening screams of fans following him, a mixture of appreciation and longing.

Once he was backstage, he leaned against the wall for a moment, closing his eyes to regain his composure. It was a brief respite before his manager hurried over, concern etched across his features. He helped Lewis to his chair in the changing room, where he immediately collapsed, the weight of the performance crashing down around him.

As he sank into the chair, the floodgates opened, and he broke into broken sobs. The emotions he had kept at bay during the show finally surged to the surface—frustration, loneliness, and a profound sense of longing. He missed the few friends he had, the ones who understood him and provided comfort in the chaos of his life. But more than anything, he missed the connection with his family, even the ones he had cut off years ago.

Memories flooded his mind—laughter shared at family gatherings, simple moments of joy that felt like a lifetime ago. The tears flowed freely, each sob releasing the pent-up tension that had built over months of touring, performing, and fighting against the tide of his own emotions. In that moment, all he wanted was comfort, to be held and reminded that he wasn’t alone in this overwhelming world.

His manager, unsure of how to handle the raw emotion pouring out of Lewis, handed him a cup of water and quietly left the room, leaving the door unlocked as a gesture of respect for his privacy.

Lewis cradled the cup in his hands, but he couldn’t bring himself to drink. Instead, he let the tears flow freely, each sob echoing the sense of profound loneliness that enveloped him. The makeup he had meticulously applied before the show had long since faded, smudged from the emotional release and the heat of the performance. He felt exposed, stripped of the facade he had put on for the audience.

As the silence of the room surrounded him, Lewis allowed himself to fully experience the weight of his feelings. He felt so incredibly alone, despite the cheering fans just outside the door who adored him. The bright lights of the stage and the adrenaline of performing had masked the loneliness, but now, in the dim quiet of the changing room, it crashed down on him like a tidal wave.

Thoughts of his friends, few as they were, slipped through his mind, each memory a reminder of what he was missing. He longed for the comfort of a familiar voice, a reassuring presence, someone to tell him that everything would be okay. But in this moment, he felt like he was stranded in a sea of isolation, with no one to reach out to.

The tears continued to flow, and he hugged his knees to his chest, feeling small and vulnerable. He had poured his heart into his music, but now, away from the stage, he faced the silence of his own heart—a silence that felt deafening. In that solitude, the reality of his choices and the sacrifices he had made for his career pressed down on him, making it hard to breathe.

A soft knock on the door broke through Lewis’s haze of sorrow, followed by the gentle creak as it opened. Standing there was the interpreter, Sebastian, a warm smile spreading across his face despite the tension in the room.

“Im Sebastian…” he introduced himself, his German accent giving a soothing quality to his words.

“Hi…” Lewis whispered, his voice still thick from crying. For a moment, the sound of Sebastian’s voice pulled him out of his overwhelming emotions, and his sobs quieted.

“I… you did very well,” Sebastian continued, his tone gentle and sincere. “And… uhm, the pure emotion in your songs made me cry.” He hesitated for a moment, gauging Lewis’s response, before adding, “So… I want to—”

Without waiting for an invitation, he walked over and sat down beside Lewis. The warmth of his presence felt comforting in the otherwise empty room. Then, to Lewis’s surprise, Sebastian wrapped his arms around him in a tender hug.

Lewis instinctively hugged him back, the embrace a welcome relief from the weight of his solitude. The dam broke again as he began to sob into Sebastian’s shoulder, allowing the flood of emotions to pour out once more. The kindness of Sebastian’s gesture felt like a lifeline, grounding him in a moment that was all too rare.

As he cried, he could feel the sincerity radiating from Sebastian, who held him close, offering silent support. The touch was reassuring, a reminder that even in his darkest moments, there were connections to be found. Lewis was grateful for the unexpected comfort, feeling a sense of understanding pass between them that transcended words. In that embrace, he felt less alone, if only for a moment, as he let his guard down in the presence of someone who truly seemed to care.

Lewis gently pulled back from the embrace, shaking his head as he looked into Sebastian’s eyes. The sight of the interpreter’s warm, understanding smile felt like a trigger for all the emotions he had been holding back. Lewis broke down again, sobs racking his body as he allowed himself to feel seen and cared for.

The two spent the next hour in a comfortable silence, punctuated only by Lewis’s occasional cries and Sebastian’s reassuring presence. It was a sanctuary in the chaos of his life, and for that brief moment, the world outside faded away.

Eventually, Lewis’s manager peeked into the room, gently informing him that it was time to grab his suitcases. He glanced at the two of them, a knowing look in his eyes, but he chose to give them their moment before stepping back out.

Lewis squeezed Sebastian’s hand gently, a gesture filled with gratitude. “Thank you… so much. Can I give you my number? If—”

“Yeah, of course,” Sebastian replied, his smile brightening. They exchanged contact details, the connection forged in vulnerability and shared understanding.

As they gently parted ways, Lewis felt a mix of hope and uncertainty. He wasn’t sure how or when they would see each other again, but he knew he wanted to keep in touch. The moment he landed in Germany, France, or anywhere close, he would reach out to Sebastian. The memory of their encounter would linger with him, a reminder that amidst the loneliness and chaos of touring, genuine connections could still be found.

As Lewis gathered his belongings, a sense of comfort settled in his chest. For the first time in a long while, he felt a spark of optimism—one that came from knowing he wasn’t alone in this journey.

Lewis felt a warmth bubbling inside him at the thought of seeing Sebastian again, even as his legs throbbed and fatigue weighed heavily on him. He longed for sleep, to collapse into bed and forget the whirlwind of emotions from the night. Yet, despite his exhaustion, he couldn’t shake the image of Sebastian’s gentle smile and the comforting hug they had shared.

As he scrolled through social media, he was met with a flood of posts about his performance. Fans were buzzing with excitement, sharing clips of him dropping to his knees beside Sebastian, tears streaming down his face as he sang. Comments filled the screen—praise for his vulnerability and emotion, admiration for how he handled the intensity of the songs, and of course, endless compliments on how he looked throughout the concert.

Lewis couldn’t help but smile at the affectionate comments. There was a sense of comfort in watching the footage, especially the moment when he had fallen to his knees beside Sebastian. The way the interpreter’s face flushed red during the performance was endearing; it made him feel lighthearted amid the seriousness of the situation.

“Did I really just do that?” he thought, a mix of embarrassment and fondness washing over him. The video captured a raw moment that spoke to both his artistry and his humanity. It was a reminder of how far he had come and how powerful music could be in connecting people.

He found himself scrolling back to the posts about Sebastian, who had quickly become a focal point in the fan commentary. The way the crowd responded to their moment together resonated deeply with him, and he felt an unexpected thrill at the thought of their bond being recognized and appreciated.

Lewis let out a soft sigh as he sent Sebastian a message, feeling a mix of vulnerability and hope. “I’m sorry if my dropping to my knees beside you felt weird.” After hitting send, he turned off his phone, wanting to focus on the next few hours of flying back to London.

He spent the flight immersed in movies, the distractions providing a temporary escape from the whirlwind of emotions he had experienced in Berlin. The laughter and drama on the screen helped ease his mind, but deep down, thoughts of Sebastian lingered, a gentle current beneath the surface.

When he finally landed in London, he hurried home, the familiar sights of the city a comforting reminder of his routine. Once inside, he couldn’t resist checking his phone. His heart raced as he saw Sebastian’s reply waiting for him.

“No, I get it. Your knees were trembling throughout the whole concert :(”

Lewis smiled at the message, warmth flooding his chest. It was clear that Sebastian understood the intensity of the moment, and his caring response made Lewis feel seen and valued. There was something uniquely reassuring about the way Sebastian acknowledged his vulnerability without judgment.

He quickly typed back, “Thanks for understanding! It was just a really emotional night for me. You made it easier to perform.”

The two struggled to maintain contact amidst their busy lives. Lewis quickly learned that interpreting wasn’t Sebastian’s only job; during the day, he worked as a school teacher, teaching German and Deutsch/German sign language (D/GSL). Lewis was amazed by this revelation, feeling as though he was watching a master at work whenever he came across clips of Sebastian in the classroom. The way he engaged with his students, seamlessly blending language with compassion, only deepened Lewis’s admiration for him.

As time passed, Lewis’s popularity continued to soar. He released new songs that resonated deeply with his growing fan base, each track revealing more layers of his artistry and emotional depth. His appearances on talk shows and game shows became more frequent, showcasing not only his music but also his charismatic personality. Each performance drew in more fans, eager to experience the raw emotion he poured into every note.

With each public appearance, Lewis found himself basking in the excitement of fame. However, beneath the glitz and glamour, he often felt a pang of longing for the meaningful connection he had found with Sebastian. Their conversations were infrequent but cherished; even a simple exchange of messages could brighten his day.

Despite their busy schedules, they made an effort to check in with each other whenever they could. Lewis would often send Sebastian snippets of his new songs, while Sebastian shared funny anecdotes from his classroom. These moments, though fleeting, kept the bond between them alive.

One evening, as Lewis was walking down the street in London, his world turned upside down. Without warning, someone jumped him, fists flying, catching him off guard. The attack was swift and brutal, and it took everything he had to wrestle the assailant off him. Once he managed to escape, he quickly reported the incident, pressing charges against the man for assault. But as the adrenaline faded, a wave of fear washed over him, leaving him shaken and vulnerable.

In desperate need of a safe haven, Lewis remembered Sebastian. He pulled out his phone, hands trembling as he typed a message. “Can I stay with you for a week or two?”

His heart raced as he hit send, nerves gnawing at him. Would Sebastian think it was too much? Would he be welcoming, or would he feel burdened by Lewis’s sudden need for refuge?

The response came quickly. “Yes, but just so you know, I live in a small town, not Berlin.”

Relief flooded through Lewis. “No issue,” he replied, gratitude spilling over in his message.

He spent the next few days in a daze, packing his things and trying to shake off the trauma of the attack. The thought of staying with Sebastian was a comforting light at the end of a dark tunnel. Knowing he would be somewhere safe, away from the noise of London and surrounded by someone who cared, gave him the strength to face the days ahead.

When the time came, he boarded the train to Sebastian’s small town, anxiety bubbling up in his chest. What would it be like? Would he be a burden? He pushed those thoughts aside, focusing on the relief of escaping the chaos of the city.

As he arrived in the quaint town, the atmosphere was serene and peaceful. The small streets were lined with charming houses, and the air felt fresh, a stark contrast to the bustling energy of London.

As Lewis took in the charming little town, he noticed the curious glances of younger people around him. Some gasped, and a few quickly pulled out their phones to snap pictures. Normally, he would have felt flattered or annoyed, but this time, it didn’t matter. He was more focused on the comforting presence of Sebastian who he could see standing by a car.

As Lewis reached Sebastian’s car, Sebastian playfully swung his arms around Lewis and exclaimed, “Hey, English boy!”

Lewis pretended to be offended, raising an eyebrow in mock disapproval. “English boy? Really?” he teased, but he couldn’t hide the smile creeping across his face.

“Come on! You know you love it,” Sebastian laughed, nudging him playfully.

Rolling his eyes, Lewis chuckled and placed his suitcase and bag in the back of Sebastian’s car. As they drove a few kilometers away to Sebastian’s house, he felt a sense of ease wash over him. The landscape was picturesque, with lush greenery and small farms dotting the horizon, a welcome contrast to the chaos of city life.

The drive was filled with light conversation as Sebastian pointed out landmarks and shared stories about the town’s history. Lewis listened intently, enjoying the way Sebastian spoke with such enthusiasm and pride for his home. It was evident how much he cared for the community.

Arriving at Sebastian’s house, Lewis was struck by its warmth and charm. It was a cozy, inviting space with a small garden in front and colorful flowers blooming everywhere. Sebastian parked the car and turned to Lewis, a bright smile lighting up his face. “Welcome to my humble abode!”

Lewis chuckled as they stepped out of the car. “It’s beautiful,” he said, genuinely impressed.

Sebastian led the way inside, and Lewis felt a wave of comfort wash over him as he crossed the threshold. The interior was just as warm as the outside, filled with books, art, and personal touches that reflected Sebastian’s personality. It felt like a sanctuary.

After dropping his things in the guest room, Lewis took a moment to breathe deeply, letting the tranquility of the place settle over him. He turned to Sebastian, who was watching him with a curious expression.

“Are you okay?” Sebastian asked, concern etched on his face. “I know this must be a lot.”

“I’m good, really,” Lewis replied, a genuine smile breaking through. “I just needed this. Thank you for letting me stay here.”

“Of course, Lewis. Just so you’re aware, I’ll be away on weekdays since it’s school, but I made sure I won’t have any extra jobs these two weeks,” Sebastian said, and Lewis felt his heart pound at the thought of being alone during the day.

“Oh, and I don’t have an extra bedroom,” Sebastian added casually.

“I’ll sleep on the couch,” Lewis replied quickly, trying to mask his discomfort. He unpacked some of his clothes, deciding to keep the rest in his suitcase for now.

As the evening wore on, Sebastian made them a hearty German dinner, filling the kitchen with the rich aromas of sausages and sautéed vegetables. They sat at the small dining table, sharing stories about their lives, laughter ringing through the cozy space as they bonded over their experiences. It felt so refreshing to have someone to talk to, and the conversation flowed easily, easing any lingering tension Lewis had from the attack.

After dinner, they migrated to the living room, where Sebastian put on some German television. The shows were a mix of light-hearted comedies and dramas, and Lewis found himself trying to follow along, even if he didn’t understand all the words. The warmth of Sebastian’s presence beside him made everything feel a little more comforting.

As the hours slipped away, Lewis noticed how comfortable he felt with Sebastian. He admired the way Sebastian’s eyes lit up while discussing his favorite shows and how he laughed at the jokes, even when he had to explain them to Lewis.

Eventually, Sebastian excused himself, heading to bed. “I’ll see you in the morning, okay? Just make yourself at home,” he said with a smile, turning off the light in the living room.

Lewis waved goodbye, but as the door clicked shut, he found himself feeling restless. The house was quiet, and a part of him wanted to take a walk, to stretch his legs and breathe in the fresh air. Yet, another part of him was afraid—afraid of the dark, of being alone outside, and of the lingering memories of the attack.

So, he stayed inside, opting to settle on the couch with the remote. He flipped through the channels, trying to immerse himself in the unfamiliar shows. The laughter from the television faded into the background as his thoughts drifted. He couldn’t shake the feeling of vulnerability that clung to him, but he also knew he was safe here with Sebastian.

Eventually, fatigue began to take hold. Lewis realized how exhausted he was from the past few days—the stress, the fear, the constant whirlwind of emotions. He tucked himself into the couch, the comforting weight of the blanket Sebastian had draped over him, and let the gentle sounds of the TV lull him into a light sleep.

The next morning, Lewis awoke to the soft light filtering through the curtains, stretching and blinking as he took in his surroundings. The house was quiet, and Sebastian was already gone, probably off to teach at school. On the table, he noticed a simple breakfast—some bread, cheese, and a cup of coffee.

Lewis smiled at the thoughtfulness and settled down to eat. The food was satisfying, and he appreciated the quiet start to the day. After finishing, he felt a mix of curiosity and nervousness about the house that was now his temporary home.

Once he was done with breakfast, he wandered around the small, cozy space, taking in the details of Sebastian’s life. He admired the photos on the walls—pictures of Sebastian with friends and family, some snapshots from his travels, and a few candid shots of him in various stages of life. Each image seemed to tell a story, and Lewis found himself feeling more connected to the man who had welcomed him.

As he continued exploring, he came to Sebastian’s bedroom. The door was slightly ajar, and he hesitated for a moment before pushing it open. The room was neat and had a distinctly personal touch—books lined the shelves, and the bed was adorned with a simple but stylish comforter.

Intrigued, Lewis began to look around, his curiosity getting the better of him. He opened a few drawers, finding clothes, various personal items, and some notes that seemed to be from Sebastian’s students. It was all innocent enough, and Lewis chuckled to himself, imagining Sebastian in the classroom.

But then he opened another drawer, and his heart dropped. His eyes widened in shock as he discovered a fleshlight nestled among the items.

“Whoa!” he gasped, letting out a startled scream. His face flushed a deep red, and without thinking twice, he slammed the drawer shut and hurried out of the room, feeling a mix of embarrassment and amusement.

What was he doing, looking through Sebastian’s things? It felt invasive, and the last thing he wanted was to invade Sebastian’s privacy, especially after everything he had done for him. Lewis shook his head, trying to clear the awkward image from his mind.

He needed to regain his composure, so he stepped into the living room, where he took a few deep breaths. After a moment, he focused on the beautiful day outside.

Deciding to distract himself, he went back to the kitchen, washed his breakfast dishes, and grabbed his phone. He browsed through some music and made a playlist to get lost in. The sun shone brightly through the windows, and Lewis felt a warmth radiating through him as he finally opened the back door and stepped outside into the fresh air.

The garden was small but lovely, filled with flowers and a few chairs scattered around. Lewis decided to take a seat and soak in the peace of the moment. He allowed himself to unwind, listening to the sounds of nature around him while pondering how to make the most of his time in this tranquil place.

Lewis gently drew his notebook closer, jotting down a few thoughts and lyrics that had been swirling in his mind since waking up. He was lost in the moment, focused on the peacefulness of the garden, when he suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked up to find Sebastian standing there, a warm smile lighting up his face and a loving look in his eyes.

“Class was easy today,” Sebastian said, his voice cheerful. “Some of the kids saw you walk outside yesterday, so they kept going on and on about you. Also, it’s December; come inside.” He was dressed casually in a large, cozy sweater and jeans, looking effortlessly comfortable.

Lewis couldn’t help but smile back as he stood up. The warmth radiating from Sebastian made him feel a little more at ease. “I didn’t realize I was such a spectacle,” he replied playfully, following Sebastian back into the house.

“They don’t know I’m keeping you to myself,” Sebastian teased, glancing over his shoulder. “But you’re the talk of the town, Lew.”

Lewis felt his heart pound at the thought. Being talked about was one thing, but being admired in a place where he felt so vulnerable was something else entirely. He tried to play it cool, but a flutter of excitement coursed through him.

As they stepped into the living room, the cozy warmth enveloped them. Sebastian gestured for Lewis to take a seat on the couch while he headed to the kitchen. “I’ll make us some hot chocolate. You’ll love it—it’s one of my favorites during this time of year.”

Lewis settled onto the couch, feeling a mix of comfort and nervousness. He loved how genuine Sebastian was, how effortlessly he made him feel welcomed. It was strange, being here in this small town, but it felt good.

“Can I help?” Lewis called out, hoping to contribute somehow.

“Just relax! I’ve got this,” Sebastian replied with a chuckle. “You just keep being the celebrity you are.”

Lewis shook his head, a smile playing on his lips. He leaned back into the couch and took a moment to soak in the atmosphere—the soft sound of Sebastian moving around the kitchen, the faint aroma of chocolate wafting through the air, and the way sunlight poured through the window, casting a warm glow over everything.

When Sebastian returned, he held two steaming mugs topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder. “Here you go!” he said, handing one to Lewis. “Careful, it’s hot.”

“Thanks,” Lewis said, wrapping his hands around the mug, savoring the warmth that seeped through the ceramic. He took a sip, and the rich chocolate melted on his tongue, instantly lifting his spirits even higher.

They settled onto the couch together, the air thick with a comfortable silence. Lewis couldn’t help but steal glances at Sebastian, who was happily sipping his drink, looking content and relaxed.

“So, what did they say about me?” Lewis finally asked, unable to contain his curiosity.

Sebastian chuckled, rolling his eyes playfully. “Oh, you know, typical stuff. ‘Who is that handsome guy?’ and ‘Can we get him to come to our school for a concert?’ They’re all smitten, to be honest.”

Lewis felt a warmth flush through him. “Well, I hope they don’t expect me to perform,” he joked, though the idea of being around kids again was enticing.

“Maybe I can arrange a little surprise,” Sebastian replied, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “A little concert for the kids, perhaps? They’d go wild.”

“Now you’re just trying to make me blush,” Lewis said, laughing.

“I think you already are,” Sebastian shot back, a teasing grin spreading across his face.

Lewis couldn’t help but feel a swell of affection for Sebastian. The way they joked together, the comfort of their friendship—it all felt so natural, and it was nice to laugh after everything that had happened.

As they chatted, the conversation flowed from one topic to another, and for the first time in a while, Lewis felt a sense of normalcy returning to his life. He was grateful for Sebastian and this small town that had offered him a respite from the chaos he had left behind.

“If my parents randomly come by… just let them in. They’re nice,” Sebastian said with a bright smile, as he took a sip of his hot chocolate.

At those words, Lewis felt a lump form in his throat. The mention of parents stirred up a whirlwind of emotions. He missed his own parents so much, but not in the way Sebastian meant. His parents weren’t nice. In fact, he had more abusube marks  from them than from his days doing physical sports. They were the reason he had chosen to stay sober for two years now, a choice driven by the need to break free from their toxicity.

“Yeah? Okay… Are… you close with them?” Lewis asked, trying to keep his voice steady as he took another sip of the hot chocolate, staring into the depths of the mug as if it held the answers to his unasked questions.

“Oh yes! We are so tight-knit,” Sebastian replied, his eyes lighting up with affection as he spoke about his family. “We have Sunday dinners together, and we always make time for each other’s birthdays. It’s just something we do.”

Lewis nodded, forcing a smile as a bittersweet ache settled in his chest. “That’s really nice,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper. He couldn’t help but feel a pang of envy mixed with sadness. It was hard to hear about the closeness of others when he felt so detached from his own family.

“What about you?” Sebastian asked, tilting his head slightly, his expression softening. “Do you see your family often?”

Lewis hesitated, taking a deep breath before answering. “Not really. It’s complicated,” he admitted, trying to keep his tone light but feeling the weight of his past pressing down on him. “I… haven’t really spoken to them in a while.”

Sebastian’s brow furrowed in concern. “I’m sorry to hear that. You deserve to have people in your life who lift you up,” he said, reaching out to place a comforting hand on Lewis’s knee.

The warmth of Sebastian’s touch sent a jolt through him, and for a brief moment, Lewis felt seen, understood. He appreciated Sebastian’s empathy, even if it brought a few more tears to the surface.

“Thanks, I appreciate that,” Lewis replied, swallowing hard. “It’s just… I’ve had to cut ties for my own well-being. It’s hard to explain.”

Sebastian nodded, his expression serious and supportive. “You don’t have to explain if you don’t want to,” he said gently. “But I’m here if you need to talk about it.”

Lewis felt a wave of gratitude wash over him. It was refreshing to be around someone who genuinely cared and was willing to listen without judgment. “That means a lot, Sebastian. Really,” he said, offering a small, appreciative smile.

They fell into a comfortable silence, each lost in their thoughts for a moment. Lewis couldn’t help but reflect on how different things were here compared to his life in London. The noise, the chaos, the constant pressure—it all felt so far away.

“Would you like to go for a walk later?” Sebastian asked suddenly, breaking the silence. “There’s a lovely park nearby, and I think it would do us both some good.”

“Yeah, I’d like that,” Lewis replied, feeling a spark of excitement at the idea. Fresh air and a change of scenery sounded perfect.

“Great! Let’s finish our drinks and get ready then,” Sebastian said, his smile returning. The warmth of their earlier conversation lingered in the air, a shared understanding that only seemed to strengthen the bond forming between them.

As they finished their hot chocolates, Lewis excused himself to change. He slipped into a fancy, tailored sweater that hugged his frame just right, and wrapped a designer scarf around his neck—an accessory that perfectly complemented his outfit. He glanced in the mirror, satisfied with the polished look he had cultivated over the years. It was part of his image as a musician, but he also loved the artistry of fashion.

When he returned to the living room, he found Sebastian lounging comfortably in a modest green jumper and an oversized brown scarf that looked warm and inviting. There was a stark contrast between them; while Lewis was draped in luxury brands that cost upwards of three thousand dollars, Sebastian wore clothes that were functional and unpretentious, without any visible labels.

“Wow, you clean up nicely,” Sebastian said with a grin, his eyes sparkling with admiration as he took in Lewis’s outfit.

Lewis felt a rush of warmth at the compliment, his cheeks flushing slightly. “Thanks! You look cozy,” he replied, gesturing to Sebastian’s ensemble. “I mean, that’s got to be the softest sweater I’ve ever seen.”

Sebastian chuckled, his modesty evident in the way he downplayed his look. “It’s just an old thing I’ve had for years. I’m more about comfort than fashion,” he said, adjusting his scarf with a playful shrug.

Lewis admired that about Sebastian—the way he wore his clothes without pretension. He was effortlessly stylish in a way that made him more approachable. “Comfort is definitely key, especially in winter,” Lewis agreed, feeling grateful for the opportunity to enjoy this day without the weight of his usual life hanging over him.

“Shall we head out?” Sebastian asked, moving toward the door, and Lewis nodded eagerly.

As they stepped outside, the brisk December air wrapped around them like a refreshing blanket. The small town was charming, with its quaint houses and twinkling holiday decorations adorning the streets. Lewis felt a sense of peace wash over him, contrasting sharply with the chaos of his life back in London.

“So, where’s this park?” Lewis inquired, glancing sideways at Sebastian, who was already walking with a light spring in his step.

“Just a few blocks away. It’s a lovely place to walk, especially this time of year when everything is covered in snow,” Sebastian replied, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

“Snow?” Lewis exclaimed, his heart racing. “I haven’t seen snow in ages! I can’t wait.”

Sebastian laughed, a joyful sound that filled the chilly air. “You’ll love it! Just wait until we get there.”

As they strolled down the streets, Lewis felt the stares of the younger people they passed, whispering and snapping pictures on their phones. At first, he felt a twinge of discomfort, but he quickly reminded himself that this was part of his life now. He couldn’t hide away forever.

“Looks like I’m the talk of the town,” he said, trying to joke about it as they continued walking.

Sebastian chuckled, glancing back at the small group of giggling teenagers. “You could say that. It’s not every day someone like you comes to our little town,” he replied, teasingly nudging Lewis.

“Someone like me?” Lewis asked, feigning offense. “What do you mean by that?”

“Oh, you know,” Sebastian teased, waving a hand dismissively. “The famous musician, the stylish one who makes all the girls swoon.”

Lewis laughed, shaking his head. “Hardly. I’m just a guy in a nice sweater, remember?”

“Sure, sure,” Sebastian said, his eyes glinting with mischief. “Just a guy. We’ll go with that.”

As they reached the park, the sight took Lewis’s breath away. The trees were blanketed in a soft layer of snow, sparkling under the midday sun. The path was lined with twinkling lights, and the air was filled with the crisp scent of pine.

“Wow,” Lewis breathed, stepping into the winter wonderland. “This is beautiful.”

“Isn’t it? I come here to clear my head sometimes,” Sebastian said, gesturing for them to walk down the path. “It’s perfect for a stroll, especially with a friend.”

“Friend,” Lewis repeated softly, a smile creeping onto his face. It felt nice to be called that, to feel the warmth of friendship blooming in such a serene setting.

They walked side by side, sharing stories and laughter, the chill in the air slowly dissipating as they got lost in each other’s company. For the first time in a long while, Lewis felt a sense of belonging.

Lewis reveled in the magical scenery, the snowflakes swirling around him like tiny dancers. Each crunch of snow beneath his boots added to the symphony of winter, and he found himself completely absorbed in the moment. Sebastian, capturing the scene with his camera, couldn’t help but smile at the sight of Lewis so carefree.

“Sebastian! The snow!” Lewis exclaimed, his eyes wide with delight. He twirled around, arms spread wide, as if trying to embrace the entire winter wonderland.

Sebastian watched him with admiration, thinking how charming and handsome Lewis looked, utterly unguarded and filled with childlike wonder. But he kept those feelings to himself, wanting to savor this moment of friendship without complicating things with deeper emotions.

“Mhm?” Sebastian replied, feigning indifference as he continued snapping photos. “I’m craving something sweet. Wanna head for a—”

“Please!” Lewis interrupted, springing to his feet with a burst of energy. The snowflakes stuck to his hair and shoulders, making him look like a winter sprite. He joined Sebastian, playfully nudging him as they made their way toward a quaint little shop nestled at the corner of the park.

As they walked, Sebastian couldn’t help but notice how Lewis’s smile lit up his entire face, his eyes sparkling brighter than the snow around them. The small town’s charm was enhanced by the delightful atmosphere of the holiday season, with colorful lights twinkling above them, casting a warm glow against the chilly air.

When they arrived at the shop, a small bell jingled above the door as they stepped inside. The warm scent of cinnamon and chocolate enveloped them, instantly comforting Lewis. His eyes widened as he took in the assortment of pastries and treats displayed behind the glass counter.

“Wow, look at all of this!” he exclaimed, pressing his face against the glass like a child in a candy store. “What do I even choose?”

Sebastian chuckled, delighted by Lewis’s enthusiasm. “They have the best hot chocolate here, and their pastries are to die for. I recommend the schneebälle—they’re made with marzipan and dusted with powdered sugar. They’re a local specialty.”

“Okay, I’m sold! Let’s get some!” Lewis replied eagerly.

As they approached the counter, they were greeted by a lively woman in her mid-forties, her bright smile radiating warmth. “Welcome, welcome! What can I get for you two handsome lads today?” she asked, her voice cheerful and bubbly.

“Two hot chocolates, please,” Sebastian said, glancing at Lewis, who was still gazing at the pastries with wide eyes. “And one schneebälle?”

“Make it two!” Lewis chimed in, unable to contain his excitement.

“Coming right up!” the woman replied, her enthusiasm infectious. “Oh, I must tell you, my son is a huge fan of yours! He listens to your music all the time. Especially that one song…. Wiseman? it really touched him.”

Lewis felt a flutter in his chest at the mention of his song. “Thank you! I’m really glad it resonated with him,” he said, feeling a warmth spread through him.

“Oh, it did! He’s been through a lot lately, and your song helps him cope,” she continued, her eyes shining with pride. “Music has a way of healing, doesn’t it? It’s like a friend you can always turn to.”

“Absolutely,” Lewis agreed, his voice softening. “I never realized how much my music could impact someone’s life until I started receiving messages like that. It means the world to me.”

The woman nodded, a knowing smile on her face. “Well, I’m sure he would love to meet you if you have a moment. He’s at home right now, but I know he’d be thrilled to hear you’re here in town.”

“Of course!” Lewis replied, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. “I’d love to meet him.”

The woman beamed as she prepared their drinks, a warmth in her eyes. “I’ll make sure to let him know you said that! You two are going to be best friends in no time.”

After a few moments, she handed them their steaming mugs topped with whipped cream and two schneebälle on the side. “Enjoy! And remember, if you need anything, just holler!”

“Thank you so much!” Lewis said, grateful for her kindness.

Sebastian led the way to a small table near the window, where they settled down to enjoy their treats. Lewis took a sip of his hot chocolate, his eyes lighting up. “Oh wow! This is amazing!” He practically melted into his seat, savoring the rich flavor. “You weren’t kidding!”

Sebastian grinned, feeling pleased. “I told you. It’s the best.”

As they sat together, chatting and enjoying their pastries, Lewis felt a sense of comfort and happiness that had been missing from his life for far too long. He cherished these moments with Sebastian—simple yet filled with warmth.

“I really appreciate you bringing me here,” Lewis said, looking over the rim of his mug. “It’s nice to escape everything for a while.”

Sebastian met his gaze, his expression sincere. “I’m glad you’re here. You deserve a break, especially after everything you’ve been through.”

For a moment, the air between them felt charged with an unspoken connection. Lewis felt a flutter in his chest, but he brushed it off, attributing it to the excitement of the day.

“I think I’m going to need to work on my snowball fighting skills before I head back to London,” Lewis said with a grin, eager to lighten the mood.

Sebastian laughed, shaking his head. “You’ll be a pro in no time! Just don’t get too cocky; I’ve got some tricks up my sleeve.”

“Is that a challenge?” Lewis replied, a playful smirk crossing his lips.

“Absolutely,” Sebastian shot back, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “But first, let’s enjoy these schneebälle before they’re gone.”

With that, they dove back into their conversation, the laughter and camaraderie creating a beautiful memory amidst the winter wonderland outside.

Lewis gently watched Sebastian drink and eat, feeling that his friend looked like an angel from this angle. Just then, a young teenage boy walked in, closely resembling the woman who had served them. It was clear he was her son, and she pointed toward Lewis with a proud smile on her face.

As the boy caught sight of Lewis, his eyes widened in disbelief, and he turned bright red, gasping softly.

Lewis couldn’t help but giggle at the boy’s reaction, which made Sebastian look up from his meal, a smile spreading across his face. He loved the sound of Lewis’ laugh; it was infectious and brightened the room.

“What’s got you laughing?” Sebastian asked, raising an eyebrow playfully.

“That kid over there” Lewis said, nodding subtly toward the boy, who was now frozen in place, staring wide-eyed at him.

Sebastian chuckled softly, glancing over at the boy. “Looks like you’ve got a fan,” he remarked, clearly amused.

Feeling a mix of shyness and excitement, Lewis smiled and waved at the boy, who seemed to snap out of his daze. He hesitantly approached, glancing between his mother and Lewis, clearly unsure if this was really happening.

“Um, excuse me,” the boy said, his voice a bit shaky but full of awe. “Are you… really Lewis?”

“Yes, that’s me!” Lewis replied warmly, leaning slightly forward in his chair. “What’s your name?”

“I’m Max,” he said, his cheeks still flushed with excitement. “I really love your music! My mom plays it all the time.”

Lewis felt a warm flutter in his chest at Max’s enthusiasm. “Thank you, Max! That means a lot to me. What’s your favorite song?”

Max hesitated for a moment, glancing at his mother, who encouraged him with a nod. “Um, I really like that one about losing someone…wiseman?. It really helped me when my grandpa passed away last year.”

Lewis’s heart sank at the mention of loss. “I’m really sorry to hear that,” he said softly. “That song is special to me too. I wrote it from a place of deep emotion.”

Max nodded, looking down at his feet for a moment. “It just made me feel less alone,” he admitted quietly.

Sebastian leaned in, his voice gentle. “Music has a way of connecting us, especially in tough times. It’s good to know that it can help others.”

“Yeah,” Lewis added, his eyes sincere. “I’m glad you could find comfort in it, Max. It’s okay to feel sad, and it’s important to talk about it.”

Max smiled, a little more at ease now. “Thanks, that really means a lot.”

Feeling inspired, Lewis suggested, “Would you like to take a photo together? I’d love to remember this moment.”

Max’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Really? That would be awesome!”

“Absolutely! Let’s do it,” Lewis replied, shifting in his chair to make room for Max.

The boy quickly pulled out his phone, his hands shaking slightly with anticipation. Lewis put an arm around Max’s shoulders, both of them grinning widely as they posed.

“Say cheese!” Max exclaimed, capturing the moment with a smile that radiated pure joy.

After they took a few pictures, Max stared at the photos in disbelief, a bright smile spreading across his face. “Thank you so much, Lewis! I can’t believe this just happened!”

Lewis chuckled, feeling warmth wash over him. “Anytime, Max! Keep listening to the music, okay? And remember, it’s alright to feel whatever you’re feeling.”

Max nodded eagerly, looking back at his mom, who had been watching the interaction with pride. “I will! Thanks again!”

As Max walked back to his mother, Lewis felt a sense of fulfillment. Moments like these reminded him of why he loved performing and connecting with his fans.

Sebastian turned to Lewis, his smile wide. “You have a real gift, you know. Making people feel seen and heard. That kid is going to remember this moment for a long time.”

Lewis smiled back, feeling the warmth of Sebastian’s words. “Thanks, Seb. It feels good to know I can make a difference, even if it’s just for one person.”

With their drinks finished, the two friends shared laughter and stories, their voices mingling with the cozy atmosphere of the café. The day was turning into something special, and as they prepared to leave, Lewis couldn’t help but feel grateful for the connections he was making—not just with his music, but with the people around him.

Lewis paid for the drinks and food, offering a weak smile as he handed over the cash. He felt the familiar unease settle in his stomach, a painful reminder that he had indulged in far too many animal products since landing in Germany. As a long-time vegan, his body was not accustomed to such a drastic shift in diet, and now it was revolting against him.

As they stepped outside into the cold air, he could feel the heat rising in his cheeks. The discomfort quickly escalated to a nauseating churn in his stomach, and he began to sweat. This is humiliating, he thought, panic rising within him as he realized he might actually vomit.

“Hey, you okay?” Sebastian asked, glancing over with a look of concern as he noticed Lewis’s discomfort.

“Yeah, I’m fine,” Lewis managed to reply, though the lie felt heavy on his tongue. He knew he was anything but fine. The truth was that all he wanted was to get back to Sebastian’s place, where he could be comfortable and deal with this without the prying eyes of strangers around him.

“Are you sure? You look a bit pale,” Sebastian pressed, his brow furrowing.

“I just… I think I need to get back,” Lewis said, his voice barely above a whisper. He felt a wave of humiliation wash over him at the thought of admitting he couldn’t handle it, but the urge to vomit was growing stronger.

“Alright, let’s head back then,” Sebastian said immediately, sensing the urgency in Lewis’s tone. He quickly led the way, cutting through the snowy streets back toward his house. Each step felt like a monumental effort for Lewis, who tried to focus on the ground ahead of him rather than the bubbling nausea in his stomach.

“Sorry for ruining the day,” Lewis said, his voice tinged with regret.

“Don’t be ridiculous,” Sebastian replied, his tone warm and reassuring. “Your health comes first. We can always do this again when you’re feeling better.”

The walk felt endless, but finally, they arrived at Sebastian’s house. Lewis practically rushed inside, the warmth enveloping him like a blanket. He made his way to the bathroom, desperately needing relief.

Once inside, he locked the door behind him, leaning over the toilet bowl as his stomach finally gave in. The nausea that had been building erupted violently, and he felt a mix of relief and embarrassment wash over him.

After a few moments, he finally managed to pull himself up, splashing cold water on his face. He stared at his reflection in the mirror, feeling weak and slightly humiliated but grateful to be back in a place where he could take care of himself without worry.

Emerging from the bathroom, he found Sebastian waiting in the living room, concern etched on his face. “Hey, you alright?” he asked gently, his eyes softening as he took in Lewis’s pale complexion.

“Yeah, I think I’ll be okay now,” Lewis replied, his voice still shaky. “Thanks for understanding.”

“Of course,” Sebastian said, stepping closer. “You need anything? Water? Tea?”

“Just some water would be great,” Lewis replied, feeling grateful for Sebastian’s kindness. As he settled onto the couch, he felt a little better, the worst of the nausea behind him.

Sebastian returned with a glass of water, handing it to Lewis with a warm smile. “Take your time. We can just relax here for the rest of the day.”

Lewis nodded, taking a sip of water and letting the cool liquid soothe his throat. As they sat together, he felt the tension in his body begin to dissipate. “I’m really sorry for dragging you away from your day,” he said softly.

“Seriously, it’s fine,” Sebastian reassured him. “I’m just glad you’re okay. We can always do something fun another time. Right now, your health is what matters most.”

Lewis smiled, feeling a rush of warmth at Sebastian’s genuine concern. He was grateful to have someone like him in his life, especially during moments like this when he felt vulnerable.

Lewis struggled with a persistent stomach ache for the rest of the day, and it was a relief to be in a space where he felt comfortable and safe. He sank into the couch, grateful for Sebastian’s kindness and the fact that he was being so considerate about dinner. “I’m going to make something vegan for us,” Sebastian had said earlier, and Lewis felt a wave of appreciation wash over him.

Not many people understood his dietary choices, and it meant a lot to Lewis that Sebastian was making the effort. As Sebastian moved around the kitchen, Lewis watched him from the couch, feeling a warm sense of admiration for the man who was both a generous host and a talented teacher.

The two spent the evening talking and watching TV, their conversation flowing easily despite the awkwardness of earlier. Lewis tried to focus on the show, but every now and then, the discomfort in his stomach would flare up again, pulling his attention away. He felt embarrassed each time he had to excuse himself to go to the bathroom, hoping Sebastian wouldn’t think too poorly of him for being so fragile.

Sebastian, for his part, was focused on keeping things light and enjoyable. He made a hearty vegan chili, filling the room with its savory aroma, and made sure to set aside some for Lewis before adding his own twist with spices. As he stirred the pot, he couldn’t help but glance toward the bathroom door, hoping Lewis was doing okay.

When Lewis emerged again, looking a bit pale but relieved, Sebastian greeted him with a smile. “Dinner’s ready! I made a special chili just for you.”

“Thanks, Sebastian,” Lewis replied, forcing a smile as he took a seat at the table. The food looked delicious, and he was grateful for the effort Sebastian had put into it.

They sat together, sharing the meal in comfortable silence. The chili was rich and flavorful, and despite his lingering stomach issues, Lewis found himself enjoying every bite.

“I hope you like it,” Sebastian said, his eyes flickering with curiosity as he watched Lewis taste the dish.

“It’s amazing! Seriously, thank you,” Lewis replied, a genuine smile breaking through the discomfort.

As they finished their meal, Lewis felt a warmth growing in his chest—not just from the food, but from the connection he felt with Sebastian. It was nice to have someone who understood him, someone who cared enough to make his dietary choices a priority.

After dinner, they moved back to the couch, where they settled in for a movie. Lewis leaned against Sebastian, grateful for the comfort of his presence. Even though he still felt a bit off, being next to Sebastian made the evening enjoyable.

Sebastian chose a lighthearted comedy, and as they watched, Lewis found himself laughing and forgetting about his earlier discomfort. The playful banter between the characters reminded him of the ease he felt with Sebastian, and it helped him relax.

As the night wore on, Sebastian’s arm draped over Lewis’s shoulder, and he couldn’t help but feel a sense of belonging. He was thankful for this unexpected turn of events in his life—finding solace in Sebastian’s kindness and the warmth of their budding friendship.

When the movie ended, Lewis felt a gentle nudge from Sebastian. “Hey, are you feeling any better?”

“A little,” Lewis admitted, smiling sheepishly. “I appreciate you being so understanding about all this. It really means a lot.”

“Anytime,” Sebastian replied softly, his gaze lingering on Lewis’s face. “You don’t have to thank me. I want to make sure you’re okay.”

For a moment, they just sat in silence, the weight of their shared experiences hanging in the air. Lewis could feel the warmth radiating from Sebastian, and it filled him with a sense of comfort he hadn’t realized he was missing.

“Thanks for being here,” Lewis finally said, breaking the silence.

Sebastian smiled, his expression softening. “Always.”

Eventually, Sebastian headed to his bedroom, casting a glance back at Lewis, who was curled up on the couch, a slight frown creasing his brow. Sebastian hesitated, debating whether to invite Lewis to join him in bed. It felt like a natural step, especially after the comfort they had shared, but he worried it might be too much too soon. The last thing he wanted was to overstep boundaries and make Lewis uncomfortable.

“Sleep well,” Sebastian called out, trying to keep his tone light as he closed his bedroom door. He crawled into bed, the sheets cool against his skin, but his mind kept wandering back to Lewis. He could hear the faint sounds of the TV still playing in the background, but eventually, he drifted off to sleep, thoughts of Lewis lingering in his dreams.

Lewis, on the other hand, found it hard to relax. He nestled into the couch, but the position didn’t agree with his back. He shifted several times, trying to find a comfortable spot, but the ache only intensified. He wished he could have a proper bed, but pride kept him from mentioning it to Sebastian. After a long, restless night, he finally succumbed to sleep, his body exhausted from both his illness and the emotional rollercoaster he had been on since arriving in Germany.

The next day, Lewis spent most of his time in a haze, sleeping on and off. He had hoped to wake up feeling better, but his body was still fatigued, and the lingering nausea kept him feeling sluggish. He barely moved from the couch, occasionally glancing at his phone but mostly letting it sit idle beside him. The quiet house felt peaceful, and he found comfort in the stillness, even if his mind was racing with thoughts.

Sebastian, meanwhile, had returned from teaching and was surprised to find Lewis still on the couch. He knew he had let him rest the day before, but seeing him asleep, looking so vulnerable, tugged at his heart. He quietly set his things down, moving around the kitchen to prepare a light dinner, hoping it would help Lewis feel better.

“Hey, Lewis,” he called out softly, trying to keep his voice gentle. “I made some soup. It’s vegan, just like you like it.”

Lewis stirred, blinking sleepily as he tried to process what Sebastian had said. “Soup sounds great,” he murmured, struggling to sit up.

Sebastian brought a steaming bowl over and set it down on the coffee table. “Here you go,” he said, smiling. “I thought it might help with your stomach.”

“Thanks, Sebastian,” Lewis replied, managing a weak smile as he accepted the bowl. He took a sip of the warm broth, feeling the soothing warmth spread through him. “This is really good.”

“I’m glad you like it,” Sebastian said, settling onto the couch beside him. “I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, but I figured it was worth a shot.”

They sat in comfortable silence as Lewis ate, Sebastian keeping an eye on him, wanting to make sure he was okay. When Lewis finished, he set the empty bowl down, feeling a little stronger.

“Do you feel any better?” Sebastian asked, a hint of concern lacing his voice.

“A bit,” Lewis admitted, rubbing his lower back discreetly. “Just still tired.”

“Rest as much as you need,” Sebastian said, his tone soothing. “You can stay on the couch for as long as you need. Just let me know if you want to move to the bed or anything.”

Lewis appreciated the offer but was hesitant. “I think I’ll be okay here,” he replied, though the discomfort in his back made him second-guess himself.

They spent the evening watching TV together, and Lewis found solace in Sebastian’s presence. He felt a deepening bond with him, even as he struggled with his own physical discomfort. The warmth of the soup and the light banter with Sebastian helped ease his mind, and for a moment, he forgot about the troubles he had faced back in London.

As night fell, Lewis was grateful to have someone as caring as Sebastian in his life. He knew he had to navigate this delicate balance between their budding friendship and his own feelings, but for now, he was content to simply be with Sebastian, even if it meant enduring a bad back for a little longer.

The days leading up to Friday were a blur of shared laughter and late-night conversations. Lewis felt himself growing closer to Sebastian with each passing moment, their bond deepening in ways he hadn’t anticipated. Despite his lingering fatigue, the warmth of Sebastian’s company made everything feel a little lighter, a little more bearable.

On Friday morning, Lewis took the opportunity to enjoy a long, hot shower. The water cascaded over him as he lost himself in song, belting out lyrics to one of his own tracks, completely unaware of the world outside the bathroom. He savored the privacy, letting the steam envelop him like a comforting blanket.

Meanwhile, Sebastian was at school, likely sharing anecdotes about Lewis with his students, who were buzzing with excitement about having a pop star in their small town. But little did he know that his parents were on their way to visit.

As Lewis rinsed the shampoo from his hair, he heard the unmistakable sound of a door unlocking. Confusion washed over him as he realized Sebastian had mentioned his parents might stop by, but he hadn’t expected them to arrive unannounced. He dismissed the thought, thinking it might just be Sebastian returning from school.

But moments later, he heard voices, and a familiar accent floated into the bathroom. “Sebastian? Are you home?” a woman called out.

Lewis, still blissfully unaware of the situation unfolding outside the bathroom, continued singing, completely engrossed in his own little world. He finished rinsing off and stepped out of the shower, towel wrapped around his hips. The sound of voices grew clearer, and suddenly it dawned on him that there were other people in the house.

“Sebastian?” a voice called again, this time with an unmistakable hint of curiosity.

Lewis’s heart raced as he realized he was completely unprepared for any kind of encounter. He quickly grabbed his phone to check the time, his mind racing. Had he lost track of time? Panic set in, but before he could think of a plan, the bathroom door swung open.

Staring at him with wide eyes were Sebastian’s parents, caught off guard by the sight of a half-naked pop star in their son’s bathroom. Lewis yelped, spinning around in embarrassment and pressing himself against the bathroom wall. “Oh my God! I—what are you doing here?” he stammered, mortified.

Sebastian’s mother chuckled, a mixture of surprise and amusement on her face. “We didn’t mean to walk in on you!” she said, her voice warm and friendly. “We heard about you coming to town, but we didn’t expect to see you like this!”

Sebastian’s father was equally surprised but managed to laugh it off. “Well, this is an unexpected welcome!” he said, shaking his head in disbelief.

Lewis’s cheeks turned crimson as he fumbled for words. “I’m so sorry! I didn’t know anyone was here!” he exclaimed, his voice barely above a whisper.

“Not a problem at all,” Sebastian’s mother said, her smile genuine. “We just wanted to come by and say hello. Sebastian talks about you all the time!”

“Really?” Lewis asked, genuinely surprised, his embarrassment slowly giving way to curiosity.

Lewis stood in the bathroom, heart racing as he realized he was face-to-face with Sebastian’s parents. Their surprise at his half-naked appearance only added to his embarrassment. “Um, can you two—please—go to the living room so I can change? Very nice to meet you too,” he said, his voice trembling slightly.

The two parents exchanged amused glances before chuckling softly. “Of course! We’ll be right in the living room,” Sebastian’s mother said, her smile warm and reassuring. They closed the door, speaking to each other in German as they walked away, their laughter echoing in the hallway.

Lewis felt mortified. He quickly changed into a casual outfit, the entire time his mind racing with thoughts of how awkward that encounter had been. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves, and stepped out into the living room.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and he found Sebastian’s parents sitting comfortably on the couch, flipping through a photo album. Lewis’s heart sank a bit as he caught glimpses of childhood photos of Sebastian, his cheeks rosy with happiness and innocence. He couldn’t help but feel a twinge of envy at the sight of such love and warmth.

“Hi again!” he said, forcing a smile as he joined them. “Thanks for waiting.”

“Oh, it’s no trouble at all! We were just looking at some old photos,” Sebastian’s mother replied cheerfully. “Sebastian was such a cute child. Look at this one!” She pointed to a picture of a little Sebastian wearing a funny hat, a wide grin plastered across his face.

Lewis listened and talked to Sebastian’s parents until the clock hit 13:02. When Sebastian walked through the door, he looked confused for a moment, taking in the sight of his parents chatting animatedly with Lewis. Then a wave of embarrassment washed over him as he realized the situation.

“Uh, hey! What’s going on?” he stammered, quickly placing his bags down.

“Just catching up! Lewis was just telling us about his music,” his mother replied, beaming with pride.

Sebastian’s cheeks flushed slightly, and he felt a mix of protectiveness and embarrassment. He quickly made his way over to the couch, sliding in beside Lewis. The Brit instinctively leaned into him, and Sebastian wrapped an arm around his shoulders, feeling the tension radiate off Lewis.

“I hope they weren’t too embarrassing,” he whispered, his voice low and gentle.

Lewis let out a soft laugh, though it didn’t quite reach his eyes. “No, they were really nice. Just… made me think about family.”

Sebastian stopped whispering and turned his full attention to his parents, who were still animatedly recounting stories from their day. He subtly rubbed Lewis’s back, his fingers moving in gentle circles, a silent reassurance that he was there for him. The two fit together perfectly on the couch, like pieces of a puzzle.

His mother’s eyes sparkled as she shared a funny incident from Sebastian’s childhood, and he found himself laughing along, though he was acutely aware that his mother was likely to notice the closeness between him and Lewis. She would definitely have questions when they sat down for dinner later, and the thought made Sebastian’s stomach churn a little.

Lewis, caught up in the warmth of the moment, didn’t seem to notice Sebastian’s internal struggle. He was smiling and laughing at the stories, his earlier tension fading with each passing minute. But Sebastian couldn’t shake the feeling that his mother would seize the opportunity to pry into their relationship, and he wasn’t sure how to navigate that conversation.

“…and that’s when he fell face-first into the cake!” his mother exclaimed, eliciting a chorus of laughter from the room. Sebastian leaned back against the couch, keeping his arm around Lewis, who was now fully engaged in the storytelling.

“My mother always loved to bake,” Sebastian said, nudging Lewis playfully. “It’s a miracle I didn’t end up a sugar addict.”

Lewis chuckled, the sound bright and free. “I can’t believe you were so clumsy! Do you still have that picture?”

Sebastian’s mother nodded enthusiastically. “Oh, I have it somewhere! I’ll find it for dinner.”

Sebastian’s heart sank slightly at the thought. He could already imagine the teasing remarks that would come from his parents as they flipped through old photo albums, and he had a sinking feeling that they might even turn the conversation toward his relationship with Lewis. The last thing he wanted was for Lewis to feel uncomfortable.

Still, he forced a smile, trying to focus on the positive atmosphere. “You’ll have to show me when we have dinner,” he said, keeping his tone light.

As the stories continued to flow, Lewis leaned into Sebastian a bit more, resting his head on his shoulder. Sebastian felt a rush of warmth spread through him at the gesture, the comfort and trust evident in Lewis’s actions. It made him forget his earlier worries for a moment.

But then, just as his mother started another story, she glanced over at the two of them. “You two look quite cozy together,” she remarked with a playful grin.

Sebastian’s heart raced, and he could feel Lewis stiffen beside him. He quickly replied, “Yeah, it’s cold outside, and Lewis isn’t feeling well,” trying to deflect the attention away from anything deeper.

“Oh, is that so?” his mother continued, her voice teasing but gentle. “You’re taking good care of him, I see.”

Lewis laughed lightly, though it was tinged with nervousness. “Just trying to stay warm,” he said, a hint of blush creeping onto his cheeks.

Sebastian could feel the heat radiating off Lewis, and he shot him a supportive look, hoping to ease any discomfort. “Exactly. We’re just making sure we both don’t freeze.”

“Right, right,” his mother replied, her smile widening. “I’m glad you’re looking after each other. Friends are important, especially when one of you is feeling under the weather.”

Sebastian relaxed slightly at her comment, but he still braced himself for what was likely to come next. He glanced at Lewis, who seemed to be handling it well, even laughing along with his mom’s light teasing. The bond they had formed over the past week was growing stronger, and he was grateful for it. But still, Sebastian wished he could just keep this moment to themselves without the outside world poking its nose in.

As the conversation shifted to other topics, Sebastian returned to rubbing Lewis’s back, wanting to keep the comfort alive between them. He felt the tension in Lewis slowly dissipate.

When the clock ticked closer to dinner time, Sebastian’s heart raced a bit, but he was determined to enjoy the evening and make Lewis feel as comfortable as possible.

As Sebastian’s mother turned to the kitchen to prep dinner, he felt a mixture of excitement and dread bubbling in his stomach. He moved to prepare a few things, making sure to whip up something vegan for Lewis. He knew how much it mattered to him, and the last thing he wanted was for his friend to feel uncomfortable or sick again.

“Sebastian, what’s this I hear about your friend?” his mother asked, glancing back at him with a knowing look as she chopped vegetables. “I saw how you two were sitting close on the couch. It seems like you two are getting pretty cozy.”

Sebastian felt his cheeks heat up at the casual observation. “Yeah, Lewis is great,” he said, trying to sound nonchalant. “We’ve just been hanging out a lot. He’s really fun to be around.”

His mother raised an eyebrow, an amused smile playing on her lips. “Fun, huh? I can see that. He seems like quite the character. You don’t seem like yourself around him.”

“Is that a bad thing?” Sebastian asked, a hint of defensiveness creeping into his voice.

“No, no!” she replied quickly. “I just mean it’s nice to see you so happy. I haven’t seen you this relaxed in a long time.” She paused, her gaze softening. “But tell me more about him. How did you meet?”

Sebastian leaned against the counter, trying to think of a way to summarize their connection without getting too deep into his feelings. “hes a big singer.. and they hired a interpreter for his  concert. I guess we just clicked,” he said, shrugging.

“Clicked, huh? Well, it sounds like more than that,” she teased, stirring a pot on the stove. “I saw him in town the other day. He’s quite the eye candy, isn’t he?”

Sebastian felt his face grow hotter, the heat rising to his ears. “Mom, come on…” he mumbled, feeling flustered. He quickly busied himself with chopping vegetables to avoid her gaze.

“Oh, please! I’m just saying what everyone sees,” she continued with a playful smirk. “And for what I saw, he has a good body and, from what I can tell, a big…d…dreamy smile.”

Sebastian nearly dropped the knife, his cheeks burning with embarrassment. “Mom! Please!” he exclaimed, trying to keep his voice down as he glanced toward the living room where Lewis was likely still resting on the couch. He could only hope that Lewis hadn’t overheard any of that.

His mother chuckled, clearly enjoying Sebastian’s discomfort. “I’m just stating the facts. You should take a page from your father’s book and be a little more forward, you know? Don’t let a good opportunity pass you by!”

Sebastian shook his head, trying to suppress a smile despite his embarrassment. “It’s not like that. We’re just friends… .”

“Just friends?” she echoed with a teasing lilt. “Uh-huh. That’s what they all say.”

Sebastian rolled his eyes, but inside, he felt a mix of nerves and excitement. He had thought about the possibility of something more between him and Lewis, but he hadn’t expected his mother to bring it up so directly. “Can we please focus on dinner?” he replied, grateful for the distraction.

“Alright, alright! But you know I’m just looking out for you,” she said with a wink, and Sebastian couldn’t help but feel a bit more at ease.

As they continued preparing dinner, Sebastian’s mind wandered back to Lewis. He remembered the way Lewis smiled, the way his laughter seemed to brighten the room.

As the dinner progressed, Lewis stuck to the vibrant German vegan dishes that Sebastian had prepared, genuinely praising his cooking and showering compliments on Sebastian’s parents for their hospitality. “This looks incredible! You really picked right,” he said, smiling warmly at them.

However, as the meal continued, Sebastian’s mother began to press Lewis to try the schnitzel. “Come on, just a small bite! You’ll love it,” she insisted, her excitement evident.

Lewis smiled politely but shook his head firmly. “I really appreciate it, but I’m vegan. I haven’t eaten meat in years,” he explained gently.

“Oh, just a little taste! It’s a family recipe,” she persisted, her enthusiasm unwavering.

Sebastian shot Lewis a look of concern, hoping to defuse the situation. “Mom, it’s okay. Lewis is happy with the vegan dishes. Let’s just enjoy what we have,” he said, attempting to redirect the conversation.

As they moved on to lighter topics, Lewis felt the atmosphere shift when Sebastian’s parents cracked open a couple of beers. The sharp, bitter smell of the beer wafted through the air, and Lewis’s stomach twisted uncomfortably. The scent triggered memories that made him feel trapped and uneasy, causing his heart to race.

He glanced at the two parents enjoying their drinks, laughter filling the room, and suddenly felt a wave of anxiety wash over him. He needed to escape. “Seb— I’m gonna go to the bathroom,” Lewis blurted out, his voice tight.

Sebastian looked up, concern written all over his face. “Now? It’s just a bit past dinner—are you okay?”

“I just need a moment,” Lewis said, his tone insistent yet strained. He forced a smile, hoping to mask his discomfort. “I’ll be fine.”

“Alright,” Sebastian said hesitantly, watching Lewis head down the hallway toward the bathroom.

Once inside, Lewis closed the door behind him and leaned against it, taking a moment to breathe. He turned on the tap, splashing cool water on his face, trying to shake off the overwhelming feelings that had surged inside him. The smell of the beer still lingered in his mind, making his stomach churn.

After a moment, he caught his reflection in the mirror, his eyes wide and a bit frantic. “Get it together,” he whispered to himself. He splashed more water on his face and took a few deep breaths, hoping to calm himself down.

Just then, he heard a soft knock on the door. “Lewis? Are you alright in there?” It was Sebastian’s voice, filled with concern.

“Yeah, I’m fine! Just give me a sec,” Lewis replied, forcing a cheery tone that he didn’t quite feel.

“Okay,” Sebastian said, still sounding worried. “Just checking in.”

Lewis took a few more moments to collect himself before finally opening the door. Sebastian stood there, looking relieved to see him but still concerned. “You okay?” he asked softly.

“Yeah, I’m okay now,” Lewis said, managing a smile. “Just needed a minute.”

Sebastian nodded, but Lewis could see the worry lingering in his eyes. “Let’s go back to dinner,” he suggested gently, reaching out to touch Lewis’s arm. “You don’t have to force yourself if you’re not feeling up to it, though.”

“I’ll be alright,” Lewis assured him, grateful for Sebastian’s understanding. “Let’s just get back before they wonder where we went.”

Together, they walked back to the dining room, and as Lewis rejoined Sebastian’s parents, he felt a bit steadier knowing he had Sebastian by his side.

As Sebastian’s parents left, their warm goodbyes still lingering in the air, the atmosphere in the room shifted. The moment felt lighter, a shared understanding passing between Lewis and Sebastian, a secret bond growing stronger in the quiet space they now occupied.

Sebastian, ever the responsible one, immediately started cleaning up the remnants of dinner. He gathered plates, his movements fluid and practiced, while Lewis remained seated for a moment longer, enjoying the afterglow of the evening. He felt a swell of gratitude for Sebastian’s parents, who had welcomed him so warmly, and for Sebastian, who had been his anchor throughout the evening.

Lewis watched Sebastian work, the way he focused on each task, wiping down the table and loading the dishwasher with an ease that made Lewis smile. “You know, you could give lessons on how to be the perfect host,” Lewis teased, leaning back in his chair.

Sebastian looked over his shoulder, a playful grin stretching across his face. “Only because I’ve had a lot of practice. Besides, I had a pretty great guest tonight,” he replied, his voice light.

Feeling bold, Lewis pushed his chair closer to Sebastian, resting his arm on the back of the couch. “You really did. Your parents are amazing,” he said, his voice softening. “It’s nice to see a family that cares so much for each other.”

Sebastian paused for a moment, the dish towel in his hand stilling as he glanced at Lewis. “Yeah, they are great. I’ve always been really close with them. I know it’s not the same for everyone, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”

The sincerity in Sebastian’s voice struck a chord with Lewis, who felt a pang of longing for the kind of family connection Sebastian had. He opened his mouth to respond but instead just nodded, a shared silence enveloping them for a moment.

Sebastian resumed cleaning, but his hand found its way back to Lewis’ thigh, resting there for a moment as he focused on his task. The warmth of Sebastian’s touch sent a pleasant thrill through Lewis, who leaned into it instinctively.

“Hey, I know you’re probably tired after everything,” Sebastian said, glancing at Lewis with a mix of concern and affection. “Why don’t you go put your feet up? I can handle this.”

“I’m fine,” Lewis insisted, but he felt the fatigue creeping in. “Really, I want to help.”

Sebastian shook his head, chuckling softly. “You’ve done enough by charming my parents. I can take care of this. Besides,” he added with a smirk, “you should save your energy for all the gossip my family is about to dish out in the group chat.”

Lewis laughed, feeling lighter. “They’re going to have a field day with this.”

“Definitely,” Sebastian agreed, his eyes sparkling. “I can already hear my mom raving about how she’s friends with a pop star now.”

“Good thing I’m low-key,” Lewis joked, leaning back in his chair and folding his arms behind his head. “Not like I’m a household name or anything.”

Sebastian raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile playing at his lips. “Low-key? Have you seen the headlines? You’re practically a legend around here. Everyone knows who you are.”

“That’s terrifying,” Lewis replied, chuckling softly. “But also kind of nice to hear.”

With the kitchen nearly tidied, Sebastian tossed the dish towel aside and came over to Lewis, his expression turning more serious. “Seriously, though, if you ever feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed, just tell me. I want you to feel at home here.”

Lewis nodded, touched by Sebastian’s concern. “I appreciate that. It’s just… a lot sometimes, you know?”

Sebastian smiled, a soft and genuine smile that made Lewis’ stomach flip. “. Now, how about we relax for a bit? Maybe find something mindless to watch?”

“Sounds perfect,” Lewis agreed, grateful for the chance to unwind.

As they settled into the couch together, the familiarity of the moment enveloped them. Sebastian picked up the remote, and they flicked through channels, the comforting sound of their laughter and casual banter filling the room, a warm cocoon against the chill outside.

The weight of the day began to fade, and for the first time in a while, Lewis felt a sense of belonging. He leaned against Sebastian, their bodies fitting together effortlessly, and let himself enjoy the moment.

Lewis went back to sleep on the couch, the exhaustion from the last few days finally catching up to him. Sebastian headed to his room, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness bubbling in his chest. Tonight, he had a plan, inspired by the playful comments his mother had made about Lewis during dinner.

As he settled into his bed, he couldn’t shake the image of Lewis’ radiant smile and the way his presence lit up the room. Remembering his mother’s teasing remark about Lewis’ looks, Sebastian grabbed his phone and typed “Lewis Hamilton shirtless” into the search bar.

As he scrolled through the seemingly endless stream of photos, he felt his heart race. Each image showcased Lewis in a different light—on stage, the glow of the spotlight highlighting his toned upper body; on a beach, basking in the sun with his tattoos glistening; on a private yacht, laughing and carefree among a group of models.

Sebastian couldn’t help but marvel at how stunning Lewis looked, his upper body tanned and sculpted, every tattoo telling its own story. However, a pang of discomfort hit him as he noticed the other people in the photos—mostly beautiful women, models draped over him, laughing, and chatting. Sebastian’s heart sank a little. He had to remind himself that Lewis was a famous pop star, surrounded by adoring fans and potential love interests.

“Get it together, Sebastian,” he muttered under his breath. “He’s your friend.”

Yet, the jealousy was hard to ignore. He couldn’t help but wonder if Lewis ever saw someone like him as more than just a friend. Would he even consider it? As he continued to scroll through the images, he felt a mix of admiration and longing. Lewis was undoubtedly attractive, and he had the kind of charisma that drew people in effortlessly.

Sebastian shook his head, trying to dispel the spiraling thoughts. “Focus on the friendship,” he reminded himself, but the images of Lewis laughing and enjoying life made it difficult. He appreciated how genuine Lewis was, how down-to-earth despite the fame that surrounded him.

Eventually, Sebastian set his phone down, feeling a swirl of emotions in his chest. He had come to care for Lewis deeply over the past few days, and that connection was something he didn’t want to jeopardize by overthinking things.

He turned off the light, allowing the darkness to envelop him. As he lay there, thoughts of Lewis filled his mind—his laughter, his kindness, the way he made Sebastian feel like he could be himself without judgment. Whatever the future held for their friendship, Sebastian knew he wanted to cherish every moment they had together.

Meanwhile, Lewis remained blissfully unaware of Sebastian’s late-night exploration of his images, lost in dreams that were undisturbed and peaceful.

Yet Sebastian couldn’t sleep. He found himself digging through more photos and articles, hoping to uncover something—anything—that would help him understand Lewis better. As he swiped through countless images, he stumbled upon the headlines about Lewis’ relationships. Most were light-hearted pieces detailing his brief romances with a couple of high-profile models.

Despite the superficial nature of the stories, it was the word “straight” that echoed loudly in Sebastian’s mind. Lewis was undeniably a straight man, a pop star with a string of glamorous women by his side. Each article painted a picture of a life filled with beautiful women and red carpet events, and it left Sebastian feeling a pang of disappointment mixed with longing.

He tried to rationalize it. “He’s famous, and he’s always surrounded by beautiful people,” he thought. “Of course, he would date women.” But the reality stung. In his heart, Sebastian wished that he could be more than just a friend to Lewis, yet every new article reinforced the barriers that came with Lewis’ fame and his own feelings.

Sebastian heard the muffled sound of Lewis’ voice from the living room, growing more agitated by the second. Curious and concerned, he quietly poked his head out of his bedroom door. His heart sank when he saw Lewis, sitting on the couch, tears streaming down his face as he spoke into his phone.

Lewis’ voice was low but heavy with frustration. “No, you don’t get it,” he muttered, wiping his face with the back of his hand. “It’s not just about the money.., it’s about… everything else. You don’t understand what it’s like- the music- dad- please-“ His tone cracked, revealing the vulnerability he was trying so hard to keep hidden.

Sebastian felt his stomach twist. He had once before seen Lewis like this—so raw, so broken. His first instinct was to rush over and comfort him, but he hesitated, not wanting to intrude on what was clearly a personal conversation. Still, it was hard to just stand there and watch his friend suffer.

Lewis’ voice grew more frustrated. “I’m done, alright? I’m done trying to explain myself.” His breathing was shaky, his voice dropping to a whisper. “I just need space.”

Sebastian, no longer able to stand the sight of Lewis in pain, stepped fully into the room. He didn’t say anything, just stood there, offering a quiet presence of support. Lewis didn’t notice him at first, too wrapped up in the call, but eventually, their eyes met.

The moment Lewis saw Sebastian, something seemed to break inside him. His anger dissolved into more tears, and he quickly ended the call, muttering a choked “I’ll talk to you later” before throwing the phone aside.

For a moment, neither of them spoke. Lewis sat there, his shoulders slumped, looking utterly defeated. Sebastian approached him slowly, unsure of what to say but knowing he couldn’t just leave him like this.

“You okay?” Sebastian asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Lewis shook his head, wiping at his eyes again. “No… no, I’m not.” He let out a shaky breath and looked away, clearly embarrassed by the outburst. “I’m sorry you had to see that.”

Sebastian held Lewis gently, letting him cry into his chest. No words were needed; the silence between them was enough to communicate the weight Lewis was carrying. He cried weakly, mentioning bits and pieces about his family—how distant they had become, how much he missed the connection they once had. Sebastian didn’t push for more details, just kept his arms around Lewis, offering a safe space for him to release his emotions.

The next day, the two decided to take a quiet walk around town. They didn’t say much, the air between them filled with an understanding that words couldn’t quite reach. Lewis looked distant, lost in his thoughts, his usual bright energy dulled by whatever was weighing on his mind.

Occasionally, they stopped for fans who recognized Lewis, but he barely managed a smile, too exhausted emotionally to fully engage. Sebastian stayed close, a steady presence, helping guide Lewis through the motions of interacting with people without overwhelming him.

The walk was peaceful despite the occasional interruptions. It was what Lewis needed—a chance to clear his head, even if only for a little while, with someone who didn’t expect anything from him except to just be.

Later that evening, Sebastian came across the photos online—pictures of him and Lewis from their walk. The fans had noticed something off about Lewis. Comments flooded the posts, speculating about what had happened in the small town to leave the pop star looking so exhausted, with clear signs that he’d been crying.

“Is Lewis okay? He looks so sad in these pics.”

“What’s going on in that town? He’s barely smiling…”

“Poor Lewis, hope he’s alright 😢.”

“Looks like he’s been through something serious…”

Sebastian felt a pang of concern. He hated that the world saw Lewis in such a vulnerable state, especially when they didn’t understand the context. He wished he could protect him from the scrutiny, but he knew that was impossible. Still, he made a mental note to be there for Lewis even more, offering whatever comfort or distraction he needed.

It was a reminder of how hard it was for Lewis to maintain his public image while battling private pain. The weight of fame, the loneliness it brought—it all became a little too much sometimes.

Sebastian jolted as the student called his name, pulling him out of his haze. “Sorry,” he muttered, blinking a few times to refocus on the classroom. The students stared, confused by their usually attentive teacher’s distraction. He forced himself to get back to the lesson, but his mind kept drifting back to Lewis.

All weekend, Lewis had been struggling with waves of emotion, and Sebastian had done his best to support him. But now, at work, all Sebastian could think about was whether Lewis was really okay. He had seen how fragile Lewis had been—how the singer’s past had weighed him down—and it had shaken Sebastian more than he realized. His heart was still heavy, aching to be back at home, comforting Lewis again.

“Vettel, you’re teaching grammar, not daydreaming!” another student teased, and the class giggled. Sebastian smiled faintly, but inside, he couldn’t stop thinking about how much he wanted to be with Lewis, making sure he was steady, making sure he wasn’t alone.

Sebastian arrived home that evening with a bag of vegan takeout from a local restaurant, excited to treat Lewis to a relaxing night. As they sat together, Lewis laughed, his mood finally seeming lighter. The food, warm conversation, and care Sebastian had been showing all weekend made him feel nice, a break from the emotional storm he had been weathering.

Sebastian made sure the house was extra cozy, turning up the heat. Before long, Lewis, feeling the warmth, casually pulled off his shirt. Sebastian’s heart skipped a beat. Though he tried to act normal, he couldn’t help but admire the sight—Lewis’s tanned skin, covered in tattoos, was striking up close.

Sebastian quietly appreciated the moment, grateful to see Lewis not only feeling better but comfortable enough to relax completely in his presence.

The two made small talk, their conversation light and easy, though there was an unspoken tension in the air. As they prepared for bed, Sebastian hesitated for a moment before finally inviting Lewis to join him in the bedroom. To his surprise, Lewis agreed, slipping into bed without much hesitation.

As Lewis lay there, looking up at Sebastian, his calm gaze contrasted with the pounding of Sebastian’s heart. Sebastian could feel the rapid beating in his chest, trying to maintain his composure as he settled into bed beside Lewis. They exchanged a few more words, but the weight of the moment lingered as they both lay there, the unspoken feelings between them hanging in the air.

The two shared a bed through the night, and when Tuesday morning arrived, Lewis had wrapped himself around Sebastian, holding him close. Sebastian couldn’t help but smile, enjoying the warmth of the moment, though he knew he’d have to leave soon. It wasn’t until the last possible moment that Lewis finally loosened his grip, reluctantly letting him go.

During his break at work, Sebastian checked the family group chat. As expected, they were buzzing with excitement about Lewis staying with him. Messages flew back and forth about how surreal it was to have a pop star like Lewis in their small town, with his parents leading the charge. They couldn’t stop talking about how much Lewis seemed to fit in with their family, and there were more than a few jokes about how close Sebastian and Lewis had become. Sebastian scrolled through, trying not to blush, and thinking about how this week had already changed so much.

Sebastian felt a surge of warmth as he walked into the bedroom, finding Lewis sprawled out under the covers, wearing nothing but his trousers. The sight of him, absorbed in writing, was enough to make Sebastian’s heart race. “Lewis… glad you’re comfortable,” he said, trying to keep his tone casual.

Lewis gasped, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment as he scrambled to cover himself better. “Oh, I’m sorry! I didn’t think—” he stammered, looking up at Sebastian with wide eyes.

Sebastian couldn’t help but feel his blood rush south, his mind racing as he took in the sight of Lewis’s bare upper body. The mix of vulnerability and confidence made him incredibly attractive, and Sebastian had to remind himself to breathe. “No need to apologize,” he managed, trying to maintain a steady voice. “You’re in my house, after all. Just… caught me off guard.”

Lewis relaxed a bit, a shy smile creeping onto his face. “I guess I got a little too comfortable,” he said, his tone lightening. He gestured to the notebook beside him, filled with song lyrics and thoughts. “I’ve been working on something.”

Sebastian moved closer, drawn in by Lewis’s presence. “Can I see?” he asked, genuinely curious about what Lewis was creating.

“Sure,” Lewis replied, flipping the notebook around to face Sebastian. As he did, he felt a thrill of excitement mixed with a tinge of nervousness. Lewis loved sharing his art, but sharing it with someone he cared about made it feel different.

As Sebastian leaned over to read, he couldn’t help but feel that this moment was intimate in a way that went beyond mere friendship. It was as if they were sharing a secret, a glimpse into Lewis’s world. The air felt charged with unspoken tension, and Sebastian’s heart raced as he contemplated what this budding relationship might mean for both of them.

Lewis gently pulled Sebastian into bed, the atmosphere thick with a mix of anticipation and playful tension. With a mischievous glint in his eyes, Lewis guided Sebastian’s hand down to the waistband of his branded underwear. “Pull them down… if you want,” he said, his voice low and inviting.

Sebastian’s face flushed a deep crimson, a wave of heat rushing through him as he processed Lewis’s bold invitation. He hesitated for a moment, caught off guard by the sudden shift in their dynamic, but the allure of the moment was too tempting to resist. He felt his heart pounding in his chest as he slowly pulled the waistband down, revealing more of Lewis’s smooth skin.

Lewis bit his lip, watching Sebastian with a mix of excitement and vulnerability. The room felt charged with energy, their breaths mingling in the space between them. As Sebastian’s gaze flickered between Lewis’s eyes and the revealed skin, he felt an intoxicating mix of desire and affection.

“Are you sure?” Sebastian asked, his voice barely above a whisper, wanting to make sure they were both on the same page.

Lewis nodded, his expression earnest. “I trust you,” he replied, his voice steady. “And I want this.”

Lewis turned around, his face buried in the pillow, and Sebastian felt a rush of nervous energy coursing through him. He had never been in this situation before, and the intimacy of the moment made his heart race.

Lewis lifted his head slightly, just enough to look back at Sebastian with a mischievous smile. “I wouldn’t have suggested it if I wasn’t,” he replied playfully, though the underlying sincerity in his voice was clear.

Sebastian took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. He leaned closer, his hand gently tracing the outline of Lewis’s back, feeling the warmth radiating from his skin. The intimacy of the moment was overwhelming, and he couldn’t help but feel both excited and anxious.

“Okay,” Sebastian finally said, his voice firm but gentle. “Just tell me if you want to stop.” He leaned in, planting soft kisses along Lewis’s shoulder, gradually moving towards his neck.

Lewis sighed softly, a mixture of pleasure and anticipation building within him. “I won’t. I promise,” he murmured, turning his head to give Sebastian better access, inviting him in.

With newfound confidence, Sebastian pressed his body against Lewis’s, feeling the heat between them grow. He couldn’t believe how perfect this felt, how right it was to be here with Lewis in this moment.

As he continued to kiss Lewis, he felt all his nervousness start to fade away, replaced by a deep yearning to connect with him in every way possible.

Sebastian gently pressed into Lewis, feeling a rush of warmth and intimacy envelop them both. The room was filled with soft whispers and quiet gasps as their bodies moved together, creating a rhythm that felt both exhilarating and comforting.

Sebastian leaned in closer, pressing his lips gently against Lewis’ tanned skin, tasting the sweetness of the moment. With each gentle thrust, they communicated their feelings in ways words could not express, lost in the intoxicating closeness of their shared vulnerability.

As the soft morning light filtered through the curtains, Lewis stirred awake, his arms instinctively tightening around Sebastian. He could still feel the warmth of their shared night—two souls finding solace in each other’s presence. Sebastian, still feeling the aftereffects of their escapade, smiled sleepily at Lewis, brushing the one single twist-braid from his forehead.

“Hey there, sleepyhead,” Sebastian murmured, his voice a gentle whisper.

Lewis chuckled softly, the sound mixed with a hint of embarrassment as he shifted slightly, a wince escaping him. “I might be a bit sore,” he admitted, glancing down at his legs, still tender from the spontaneous adventure they had shared. “But it was worth it.”

Sebastian’s heart swelled at the admission. He pulled Lewis closer, feeling a sense of responsibility wash over him. “I should’ve taken it easier on you,” he said, his tone laced with concern. “You really didn’t have to push yourself like that.”

Lewis shook his head, his expression earnest. “I wanted to, though. You make me feel alive, Sebastian. I needed that.” He pressed a soft kiss to Sebastian’s cheek, his lips lingering for a moment, igniting a warmth that spread through them both.

Sebastian let out a shaky breath, feeling the weight of Lewis’s words. “You’re worthy of all the good things, you know that, right?” He gently squeezed Lewis, wishing to impart his affection and assurance. “I just want you to feel that every day.”

“I do feel it, especially now,” Lewis replied, his voice barely above a whisper. He nestled deeper into Sebastian’s embrace, feeling safe and cherished.

Sebastian smiled, a sense of calm settling over him. They stayed wrapped in each other’s arms, relishing the morning together. Sebastian knew he had called in sick not just for himself, but for Lewis too. Today was about healing, about being there, and making sure Lewis knew he was more than enough—he was everything.

As they lingered in their cocoon, the world outside faded away, and the only sounds that mattered were the rhythmic beating of their hearts and the soft rustle of sheets around them.

Sebastian couldn’t help but smile as he looked down at Lewis, who was blissfully asleep, nestled against him. He gently kissed the top of Lewis’s head, feeling a rush of affection wash over him. In that moment, he wanted to share this quiet, intimate happiness with someone who understood him.

He reached for his phone and opened a message thread with his friend Kimi. With a few taps, he attached the photo he’d taken—a candid shot of Lewis sprawled comfortably across his chest, his tousled hair framing his peaceful face. Sebastian made sure the angle kept their nudity discreet, but it captured the essence of their vulnerability and connection.

Sebastian: “Look at this. I think I might be in love.”

He added a laughing emoji, knowing Kimi would tease him mercilessly about his newfound softness. As he hit send, he felt a warm glow inside, grateful for moments like these—moments that reminded him of what truly mattered.

Kimi replied almost instantly, his “enthusiasm” spilling through the screen

Kimi: “cute!  - wife. You’re whipped - me”

Sebastian chuckled softly, knowing Kimi was right. But he didn’t mind.

Sebastian: “Yeah, I am. But he’s worth it. Just don’t tell anyone how soft I’m getting😂.”

Sebastian set the phone aside, returning his attention to Lewis. He lightly brushed his fingers through Lewis’s hair, marveling at how someone could feel so right against him. The world outside faded into a distant hum, and in that moment, all he wanted was to protect this fragile happiness they had found together.

A few minutes later, his phone buzzed again.

Kimi: “No promises. Just make sure you don’t get too attached…;)”

Sebastian smirked and typed back a quick response, but his eyes remained fixed on Lewis. Each kiss, each shared moment, seemed to bind them closer together. It was in the small things—how Lewis smiled in his sleep, the way he instinctively sought out Sebastian’s warmth, the unspoken connection that grew stronger with every passing day.

He leaned down and pressed another kiss to Lewis’s forehead, whispering softly, “You’re worthy of all this and more.”

The two stayed like this, neglecting the world around them until Sebastian, feeling a pang of hunger, reached for his phone. He texted his mom, asking if she could bring some vegan takeout. “Please don’t forget the spring rolls!” he added, hoping she wouldn’t overlook it this time.

His mom replied quickly, agreeing and saying she’d be there in about 20 minutes.

Sebastian looked over at Lewis, who was still wrapped in the sheets, a blissful smile on his face. He reluctantly untangled himself, realizing he needed to greet his mother. He threw on a hoodie and slipped into some of Lewis’s branded sweatpants, feeling both casual and a little bold.

When his mom arrived, Sebastian opened the door, a grin on his face that quickly faded into surprise when he noticed her expression. She gasped, her eyes widening as they took in her son in those familiar sweatpants, and then she burst into a fit of giggles.

“Sebastian!” she exclaimed, barely containing her laughter. “What on earth are you wearing?”

“I—uh—these are just comfy!” he stammered, feeling the heat rush to his cheeks.

As he stepped aside to let her in, she rushed past him with a teasing laugh. “I’ll just leave the food in the kitchen!” she called over her shoulder, clearly amused by the scene.

Sebastian could hear her giggling as she walked away, and he shook his head with an embarrassed smile. He turned back to Lewis, who was peeking out from under the covers, his expression a mix of amusement and intrigue.

“What did she say?” Lewis asked, stifling a laugh.

“She just—she just thinks it’s funny,” Sebastian replied, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. “You know how moms can be.”

Lewis chuckled, clearly enjoying the moment. “Well, I think you look good in them,” he teased, and Sebastian couldn’t help but smile at the compliment.

“Thanks,” he said, his voice light as he moved back to the kitchen to help his mother with the food. As they unpacked the takeout, Sebastian felt a warmth in his chest, grateful for the little moments that were becoming so significant between them.

As Lewis dug into the takeout, he savored the flavors of the vegan dishes Sebastian’s mother had brought. For a moment, he felt at ease, enjoying the warm atmosphere and the laughter shared between him and Sebastian. But soon, that comfort began to fade.

Lewis’s stomach started to churn, the sounds echoing louder than the chatter in the room. He paused mid-bite, his smile faltering as he placed a hand over his abdomen. The cramps began, tightening painfully, and he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off.

“Sebastian,” he said softly, his voice strained. “I don’t feel so good.”

Sebastian looked over, concern instantly replacing the playful mood. “What’s wrong?” He set his chopsticks down and moved closer, studying Lewis’s face.

Lewis grimaced, pushing his plate away. “I think they might have given us a wrong order. My stomach—” he broke off, his face pale as another cramp hit him. “It’s not just the food. I feel really sick.”

Sebastian’s expression shifted to worry. “You need to lie down,” he urged, standing up and moving to help Lewis. “Let’s get you comfortable.”

“No, wait,” Lewis said, panic creeping into his voice as he felt the pressure building. “I need to go to the bathroom.”

Without waiting for a response, Lewis stood and rushed past Sebastian, his heart racing as he hurried to the bathroom. He barely made it inside before the wave of nausea hit him hard. He collapsed to his knees in front of the toilet, retching violently.

Sebastian stood outside the door, his heart pounding with concern. “Lewis? Are you okay?” he called, anxiety creeping into his voice.

“Not really!” Lewis managed to reply between heaves, the pain in his stomach intensifying. He felt completely exposed, but he couldn’t focus on anything except the need to relieve the pressure building inside him.

Sebastian’s worry deepened as he leaned against the doorframe, unsure of what to do. “Do you want me to get you some water or something?” he asked, trying to keep his voice calm.

“Yes, please,” Lewis gasped. “And maybe—maybe some ginger ale?”

“Okay, I’ll be right back!” Sebastian said, moving quickly to grab the drinks from the kitchen. He returned a few moments later with a glass of water and a can of ginger ale. He set them down just outside the bathroom door. “I’m here if you need me,” he reassured, concern etched on his face.

Lewis took a moment to catch his breath, feeling a mix of embarrassment and gratitude. “Thanks, Seb,” he called out weakly. “I’ll be okay. Just… give me a minute.”

As he leaned over the toilet, he couldn’t help but think about how embarrassed he felt, especially after just having shared a moment of closeness with Sebastian. He felt vulnerable but also grateful that he wasn’t alone in this. Sebastian was there, and somehow, that made everything a little better, even as he struggled with the nausea and pain.

The rest of the week unfolded in a blissful haze for Lewis and Sebastian. Each day was filled with tender moments—soft touches, lingering kisses, and whispered conversations that stretched late into the night. They explored the small town, shared meals cooked together, and reveled in the warmth of their budding connection. Lewis found comfort in Sebastian’s presence, a soothing balm for the lingering wounds from his past.

As the days passed, they fell into an easy rhythm, their lives intertwining seamlessly. They would often find themselves curled up on the couch, watching movies, or lost in discussions about everything and nothing at all. Sebastian introduced Lewis to local favorites, and together they laughed over the little quirks of life in the small town.

But as the week drew to a close, the reality of Lewis’s departure began to loom over them. Sebastian could sense the bittersweet tension in the air as they packed Lewis’s suitcase, trying to ignore the heaviness in their hearts. The train station, with its bustling crowds and looming departures, felt like a physical manifestation of their impending separation.

“Are you sure you don’t want to stay just a little longer?” Sebastian asked, attempting to keep the mood light, though the flutter of anxiety tightened in his chest.

Lewis smiled softly, his eyes reflecting a mix of joy and sadness. “I wish I could, but I have commitments back home. You know I’ll be back as soon as I can, right?”

Sebastian nodded, forcing a smile, but the thought of Lewis being just a call away rather than a heartbeat away made his chest ache. “Yeah, I know. Just feels different knowing you won’t be here.”

The two shared a lingering embrace, feeling the warmth of each other’s bodies, the sense of home they had found in one another palpable in the silence. With every passing moment, the reality of their separation crept closer, threatening to steal away the peace they had found together.

At the train station, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement and farewells, yet for Lewis and Sebastian, time seemed to stand still. As they stood on the platform, watching the train pull into view, they held

Lewis retreated into the quiet of his lonely London flat, the world outside fading into a blur of noise and chaos. Within these four walls, he found solace in the delicate act of creation, pouring his heart into a symphony of words. Each note danced upon the page, echoing the tender moments he had shared with Sebastian, yet veiled behind the gentle guise of she/her pronouns.

With every stroke of the pen, he crafted haunting melodies that told stories of longing and desire. “Work Song,” whispered the first line, an ode to the labor of love that consumed him. “Almost (Sweet Music)” followed, capturing the bittersweet ache of almost touching the one who held his heart. And “Too Sweet” sang of the sweetness that lingered like a soft caress, an intoxicating reminder of stolen moments and shared laughter.

“Someone new” ”Chanel” “American wedding” “nights” “swim-“ “the colour violet” “house of balloons” ”trust issues” (and a few others)

The pages filled with a dozen more songs, each a testament to the depth of his yearning, the palpable ache for the man he called home. In these lyrical verses, he captured the essence of their connection—a tether that bound them despite the miles that stretched between them.

Lewis penned his poetic love like a man possessed, his words swirling around him like an ethereal dance. He poured every ounce of emotion into the ink, capturing the heartache that came from being apart. Each stanza was a fragment of his soul, yearning for the warmth of Sebastian’s presence, the familiarity of his laughter, the solace found in their shared silence.

As the night deepened, the soft glow of the lamp illuminated the scattered papers around him, a testament to his creativity—a manifestation of love intertwined with longing. The city outside pulsed with life, but within his solitude, Lewis found a profound connection to the very essence of love itself, distilled into poetic form.

He wrote through the night, heartache spilling onto the pages, intertwining with the hope that one day soon, the man who inspired it all would return, and he would finally feel whole again. Each song a promise, each lyric a whisper of the love that held him captive, reminding him that even in the depths of solitude, he was never truly alone.

He spent countless hours testing the limits of his heart, calling Sebastian whenever they could steal a moment together. Yet, the weight of fame loomed over Lewis, consuming his life like an unrelenting tide. He yearned for his lover, the ache in his chest echoing louder than the applause that greeted him on stage. The only refuge he found was in the music room, surrounded by the echoes of his thoughts, where he could pour his emotions into melodies that told their story.

He had sent his mangers  the demos, no drums, just singing of his new album—a collection of thirteen songs, each crafted with raw honesty, exploring emotions that others dared not mention. Every note was a testament to his struggles, his love, and the weight of longing that hung in the air like an unfinished conversation.

Lewis found himself losing his voice on many days, the strain of belting out his truth taking its toll. He would come home hoarse, yet the sound of Sebastian’s laughter could always coax a smile from his lips. “Lost my voice again,” he would chuckle, a hint of playful embarrassment in his tone. They would giggle together over the phone, sharing jokes about the wild antics of the studio, as he sipped on soothing tea, trying to nurse his vocal cords back to life.

In those moments, the distance felt a little shorter, the ache in his heart dulled by their laughter. They would talk about everything and nothing, their shared banter a balm for the longing that lingered in the air. With every call, Lewis felt a flicker of hope, knowing that while fame kept him busy, it could never extinguish the love that burned brightly for Sebastian.

As the hours passed, he would drift off to sleep with thoughts of Sebastian wrapped around him like a warm embrace, dreaming of the day when they could be together again, no longer separated by the demands of a world that didn’t understand the depth of his feelings. In the quiet of the night, he knew that each song he wrote was not just a reflection of his heart but a promise of the love that awaited him on the other side of the spotlight.

Sebastian was like a lost puppy when it came to discussing his love life, his cheeks flushing at the mere mention of it. He would shyly mention that his lover was a singer, one who was pouring his heart into songs about him. People would chuckle, brushing it off as mere infatuation, but Sebastian was the only one who knew the taste of Lewis’s love, the sweetness lingering on his lips like a cherished secret.

For Lewis, however, it was a different story. He had to navigate the world of fame with the constant weight of discretion pressing on his chest. He had to act as if he wasn’t dating anyone, hiding the truth behind a veil of public appearances and smiles. The charade was painful, but he knew it was necessary—at least for now.

Eight months passed, and Lewis poured his soul into the album, his heart spilling onto each page, every note resonating with the raw emotions he felt for Sebastian. With the help of his manager and those closest to him, the collection of songs began to take shape, each one a testament to their love and the complexities that surrounded it.

Finally, they reached the finish line. The album was complete. Lewis sat in the studio, the echoes of his melodies hanging in the air like ghosts of his feelings. Each track told a story—a love story, laced with longing, joy, and heartache. It was more than just music; it was a declaration of the life he wanted to share with Sebastian, a promise wrapped in lyrics that only they would understand.

Some of the songs on the album were not about Sebastian, exploring themes of heartache, resilience, and self-discovery, each crafted with Lewis’s signature blend of vulnerability and strength. But those that were about Sebastian hit the deepest for them both, resonating with emotions they often struggled to voice.

When the time came for Lewis to announce the album, he chose the intimacy of his Instagram account, a space where he felt closer to his fans and the people he loved. Sitting on his couch, the soft glow of his phone illuminated his face, and he took a moment to gather his thoughts.

With a deep breath, he opened the app and began typing.

“Hey everyone! I’m beyond excited to share that my new album, Interpreting Me, will be released tomorrow! 🎶 This collection of songs is a reflection of my journey over the past eight months—full of love, heartache, and everything in between.

Some tracks dive into my personal experiences, while others are for those who have touched my life in ways they may not even realise:)

I can’t wait for you all to hear it. Your support means the world to me, and I hope these songs resonate with you the way they do with me. Let’s continue this journey together. Thank you for being a part of my story!

Love you all, Lewis. #InterpretingMe #NewAlbum”

After hitting “post,” Lewis felt a rush of excitement and nervousness wash over him. The thought of sharing such personal stories with the world was both thrilling and daunting. He could already picture the comments rolling in—support from fans, love from friends, and perhaps a few questions about the mysterious person behind the lyrics.

Lewis was set to create three music videos for the songs he had handpicked from Interpreting Me, each one meant to capture the essence of his emotions and the stories behind the lyrics. He envisioned visuals that would be intimate, poignant, and beautifully raw, reflecting the heart he had poured into the music.

On the rainy afternoon, Lewis spent the day curled up in his cozy London flat, FaceTiming Sebastian. The soft glow of the screen lit up his face as he lounged on the couch, a warm blanket draped over his legs. Laughter filled the space as they shared stories, inside jokes, and sweet moments of silence that spoke volumes.

“when Im starting the interpreting me tour.. can you believe Im going to Germany??” Lewis said, a playful grin on his face. “I might just have to kidnap you for my tour.”

Sebastian chuckled softly. “You’re just using your tour as an excuse to see me again, aren’t you?”

“Guilty as charged!” Lewis replied, feigning innocence. “But seriously, it would be amazing to have you there. Just think of all the fun we could have!”

As their conversation flowed, they fell into a rhythm of playful teasing and heartfelt affection. They discussed plans for the upcoming tour, the anticipation buzzing between them like electricity. Sebastian shared how excited he was about Lewis’s success, but Lewis couldn’t shake the feeling of wanting to share every moment with him.

As the call began to wind down, Lewis leaned in closer to the camera, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Hey, so… I might be sending you something a little inappropriate later. Just a little sneak peek of what’s to come,” he teased, a smirk playing on his lips.

Sebastian’s eyes widened, a mixture of surprise and amusement washing over him. “You better not be joking, Lewis! I need to know if this is a serious thing or just your wild imagination running away with you.”

Lewis chuckled, his cheeks flushing slightly. “Oh, it’s serious, alright. Just you wait!”

“Okay, I’ll be on the lookout then,” Sebastian replied, a smile creeping across his face. “Just don’t make me regret asking.”

With that, they ended the call, and Lewis felt a surge of excitement mixed with nervous anticipation. He had always loved teasing Sebastian, but this time felt different—more intimate, more daring.

Later that evening, with the city lights twinkling outside his window, Lewis set to work crafting a little something special for Sebastian. He was determined to send a playful yet tantalizing message, something that would make his partner smile and feel cherished even from afar.

As he put together two short videos, he couldn’t help but laugh at how bold he felt. One where he was feeling himself from the front, sweating, hair all over his face. And one pointed at his ass, with a large purple object helping him make all sorts of sounds.

This was their playful dynamic, a blend of love and mischief that made everything feel lighter. Once it was finished, he hit send, a flutter of excitement filling his stomach.

He lay back on the couch, eagerly waiting for Sebastian’s response, already imagining his reaction. This was just another way to keep the spark alive, even with miles between them.

Lewis managed to drift off to sleep before he could catch Sebastian’s reply, exhaustion finally catching up with him after a long day in the studio. He had fallen into a deep, peaceful slumber, the weight of the day slipping away as he nestled into the comfort of his blankets.

Meanwhile, Sebastian was wide awake, his heart racing as he rewatched the videos Lewis had sent him. The playful intimacy captured on screen had left him both breathless and grinning from ear to ear. He felt a warmth wash over him as he watched Lewis feeling himself, his confidence radiating through every frame. The way Lewis moved, the glistening sweat on his skin, and the carefree energy in his expressions were intoxicating.

Sebastian couldn’t help but chuckle softly to himself, a blush creeping onto his cheeks. “Damn, Lewis,” he muttered under his breath, shaking his head in disbelief. The way Lewis effortlessly commanded attention, even through a screen, made Sebastian’s heart swell.

He replayed the video, taking in every detail—the way Lewis’s hair fell over his forehead, the teasing glint in his eye, and the way he bit his lip, as if inviting Sebastian to join him in that moment. It was an intoxicating mix of allure and charm, and Sebastian felt his own pulse quickening.

Lost in his thoughts, he wondered how he could possibly respond to such a bold display. He decided to play it cool, not wanting to seem too eager, even though his heart was racing. With a sly smile, he opened the chat and began typing.

“Wow, I didn’t know you were a professional model now. Should I be jealous of the camera?” he teased, adding a playful wink emoji. “Hope you didn’t scare off all the other models with that show.”

He sent the message, his excitement bubbling as he imagined Lewis waking up to see it. Then, unable to resist, he watched the video once more, letting the warmth of the moment wrap around him.

As he settled back against his pillows, a mixture of admiration and longing filled him. He couldn’t wait to see Lewis again, to feel that magnetic energy in person. For now, he reveled in the playful connection they shared, knowing that their bond only grew stronger with every shared moment, whether through screens or in person.

Once Lewis woke, he was enveloped in the soft glow of morning light spilling through his window, a stark contrast to the excitement that pulsed through him. His new album had been out for just a few hours, and the digital world was buzzing. He could already feel the weight of anticipation in the air.

Reaching for his phone, he felt his heart flutter as he unlocked it, eager to see Sebastian’s messages first. His breath caught in his throat when he read the text: “Baby I want you.” The words ignited a rush of warmth within him, and he quickly typed back, “I want you too. Counting down the minutes until I can see you again.” He felt a surge of affection as he added, “This album feels incomplete without you here to celebrate it with me.”

After sending the message, Lewis felt a buzz of excitement as he turned his attention to the flood of notifications. He scrolled through the videos, comments, tweets, photos, and memes celebrating the album. The positive reactions filled him with joy, but he was also anxious to see how his manager would respond.

He switched to his manager’s messages and felt his pulse quicken as he scanned through the flurry of texts. They were freaking out about how some songs were performing extraordinarily well. “Lewis, the response to ‘trust issues’ ‘’almost toi sweet’ and “house of balloons”’  unreal! It’s trending everywhere!” one message read. Another followed: “You’re going to need to prepare for a ton of interviews—everyone wants to talk to you!”

Lewis couldn’t help but smile at the news. He was thrilled that the songs he had poured his heart into were resonating so deeply with fans. Still, a twinge of anxiety gnawed at him; he wanted to share this success with Sebastian, to celebrate together and bask in the joy of it all.

As he read through the messages, he realized just how much the album meant not only to him but to their relationship as well. It was a testament to their connection, the inspiration that Sebastian had given him throughout the creative process.

With a sigh of contentment, Lewis leaned back against the pillows, mentally mapping out his next steps. The whirlwind of success awaited him, but his heart was firmly anchored to the one person who made everything worthwhile. He had to find a way to bring Sebastian into this moment, to share the joy and the love that fuelled his music.

Lewis texted his manager to inform them of his decision to go on tour, excited to share his new album and mix it with some of his older hits. It felt like the right time to connect with his fans in a way that went beyond social media. He typed out a message, detailing his plans and how he wanted to infuse the tour with the energy and passion he felt for the music and the love he held for Sebastian.

“I’m ready to hit the road again. Let’s plan a tour that combines the new album with the classics. I want the fans to feel everything I’ve poured into these songs,” he wrote.

But he wasn’t entirely prepared for what lay ahead. The next three months were a whirlwind of constant media appearances, interviews, and promotional events—so much of it felt superficial and exhausting. The glitz and glamor of fame were overwhelming, and soon Lewis found himself wishing he could just escape it all.

By the time the tour kicked off, Lewis was already feeling the strain. He had forgotten how draining touring could be, especially with the relentless schedule and expectations that came with it. After just two concerts, he realized he needed something to help him cope with the mounting pressure. He doubled his sleep medicine, hoping to find some respite in the chaos.

He shared his decision with Sebastian, who immediately expressed concern.

“Lewis, are you sure that’s a good idea? You’ve got to take care of yourself out there,” Sebastian texted back, worry evident in every word.

Lewis could almost hear the concern in his lover’s voice, and it tugged at his heart.

“I’ll be fine,” he reassured Sebastian, trying to ease his worries. “I just need a little help to get through this. I promise I’ll be careful. It’s just part of the job.”

But as the days blurred into nights filled with travel, performances, and the constant scrutiny of the public eye, Lewis found himself feeling increasingly detached from everything, including his music. Each show left him exhilarated yet hollow, a disconnect that made his heart ache for the comfort of home and Sebastian’s embrace.

The stage lights shone brightly, and the cheers of fans filled the arenas, yet nothing compared to the warmth he felt when he was with Sebastian. The energy from the crowd was electric, but it couldn’t replace the intimacy of their shared moments, the laughter and love that grounded him.

Every night, as he lay in his hotel room, he longed for Sebastian to be by his side, to remind him of who he was beyond the fame and the performances. In those quiet moments, he realized that no amount of success or applause could fill the void that Sebastian’s absence created.

With each passing day on tour, Lewis found himself yearning more for the connection that awaited him back home, hoping that soon he would be able to escape the noise and chaos and return to the love that made everything worth it.

As Lewis wrapped up his concerts in America, he felt an unsettling change within himself. The thrill of performing, the electric energy of the crowd, and the applause that once filled him with joy now seemed distant, like echoes fading into silence. Each night, as the adrenaline wore off, he would lie in bed, staring at the ceiling, feeling an emptiness that gnawed at his soul.

Despite the bright lights and roaring fans, he was losing the joy of his music. The songs that once flowed effortlessly from his heart now felt heavy and burdensome, weighed down by the pressures of fame and expectation. He had become a puppet dancing on strings, each performance a facade, masking the turmoil brewing inside him.

Desperate to escape the growing anxiety and restlessness, he began taking more sleeping medications. They became his refuge, a way to drift into an oblivion that shielded him from the weight of his thoughts. Yet, the relief was fleeting. He would often wake in the early hours, disoriented and even more exhausted, with the haunting awareness of what he was losing.

The routine of tour life—traveling from city to city, performing, and promoting—left him feeling like a ghost, floating through each moment without truly living it. He missed the intimate moments with Sebastian, the warmth of their shared laughter, the comfort of their silence, and the tenderness of their touch. Those memories were like anchors, grounding him in a world that felt increasingly chaotic and overwhelming.

With each passing day, Lewis felt the divide between his public persona and his true self growing wider. He was a superstar on stage, but alone in his hotel room, he was just a man searching for a sense of belonging and peace. The music that once brought him joy was now intertwined with the loneliness that came with being away from the one person who understood him completely.

As he traveled to his next venue, the excitement of the tour was overshadowed by a sense of dread. Lewis knew he needed to reclaim the joy of music that had eluded him, but how could he do that when the very act of performing had begun to feel like a burden? He needed to reconnect with himself and with Sebastian, the only person who could truly help him find his way back to the music that once flowed so freely from his heart.

Lewis had chosen a striking wardrobe for his tour, wearing a sheer white shirt paired with black trousers that clung to his form, accentuating his athletic build. The combination was daring, yet it reflected the confidence he often tried to exude on stage. As he moved on to the Asian leg of his tour, he switched to a more audacious look—a fitted black vest layered over a deep red lace shirt. It was bold and eye-catching, a statement of his artistic flair, but underneath it all, he felt anything but confident.

As the days blurred into nights filled with performances, he found himself relying increasingly on medication just to keep himself upright. What had begun as an occasional escape quickly turned into a necessity. The pills dulled the edges of his anxiety and fatigue but also left him feeling detached, like a spectator in his own life. Each morning, he would wake with a heavy heart, reminding himself of the excitement he should feel yet barely mustered the energy to care.

Sebastian, on the other hand, was a constant source of worry from afar. He could sense the shift in Lewis through their phone calls, the way his voice lacked its usual vibrancy and how the laughter between them felt forced. Sebastian had been keeping tabs on Lewis’s social media, watching as the tour progressed with a mix of pride and concern. He saw the comments flooding in, praising Lewis’s performances and outfits, but he couldn’t shake the feeling that his boyfriend was fading behind the flashing lights.

“Are you okay?” Sebastian would ask, concern lacing his tone during their calls. “You don’t sound like yourself.”

“I’m fine, just tired,” Lewis would respond, the lie tasting bitter on his tongue. He wanted to reassure Sebastian, to tell him that everything would be alright, but he knew that he was barely holding it together.

The distance between them felt palpable. While he dazzled the crowds in his sheer shirts and striking vests, inside he was battling feelings of isolation and exhaustion. The energy of the performances was exhilarating, but the comedown left him feeling hollow.

As the Asia shows approached, he found himself daydreaming about being back home, curled up with Sebastian, away from the chaos of the music world. He longed for those quiet moments, the mundane simplicity of just being together, free from the pressures that came with fame.

When the time came to step on stage again, he plastered on a smile, the lights blinding him, the crowd roaring. But as he sang his heart out, a part of him felt like it was trapped behind a glass wall, desperately trying to break through to the other side. He knew he needed to reach out to Sebastian more, to be honest about his struggles, but the fear of burdening him weighed heavily on his heart.

For now, he continued to perform, wrapping himself in the fabric of his stunning outfits, each layer a facade that masked the turmoil beneath. But deep down, he knew he couldn’t keep it up forever. He needed help, and more importantly, he needed Sebastian by his side.

The microphone Lewis sang with was a dazzling red, covered in glitter that sparkled under the stage lights, capturing the essence of his performances. For his shows in America, his microphone had  stunning ensemble: with glitter and vibrant blue accents, reflecting the colours of the flag in a way that felt both patriotic and playful. He revelled in the energy of the crowd, the way their cheers enveloped him like a warm embrace, even as he battled his own inner turmoil.

As he transitioned into the European leg of his tour, Lewis opted for a more daring look, opting for a black lace shirt that was sheer and alluring. The long sleeves added a touch of elegance, while the transparency gave off an air of rebellion. He felt powerful in the outfit, embodying the music he poured his heart into. But as the tour progressed, something shifted within him.

After a few shows, he began to feel increasingly exposed—not just physically, but emotionally. The glitter and glam that once made him feel invincible started to feel like a facade. So, in an effort to shield himself from the world, he began wearing a black blazer that concealed his body, a stark contrast to the flamboyant looks he had chosen earlier. The blazer felt like armour, protecting him from the prying eyes of the audience and the relentless expectations of fame.

Behind the scenes, Lewis grappled with the change. He wanted to be the star everyone adored, the confident performer who could light up a room, but beneath the surface, he felt fragile. Each time he slipped into the blazer, it was a reminder of his vulnerability—a thin barrier between him and the world. He knew Sebastian was worried, and every time he saw the concern etched across his boyfriend’s face during their video calls, his heart ached.

“Are you still enjoying the tour?” Sebastian would ask, his eyes searching for the truth behind Lewis’s smile.

“Of course,” Lewis would reply, though he felt the weight of his words. “Just trying to keep up with everything.”

But it was hard to keep up. He was losing track of himself amidst the lights and the glitter, and the laughter that used to come so easily now felt like a chore. He missed the intimate moments with Sebastian, where they would just exist in each other’s company without the pressures of the outside world.

Every night on stage, as he performed, he could see the faces in the crowd glowing with admiration. They would scream his name, hold up their phones, and capture every moment of his performance. Yet, as he sang, he couldn’t help but feel the distance from those he loved, especially from Sebastian. He wanted to reach out, to share his struggles, but a part of him feared that opening up would dim the light he brought to the stage.

Lewis knew he needed to regain his joy for the music, to reconnect with the passion that had driven him to become an artist in the first place. He wanted to be the man who sang love songs for Sebastian, not just the performer who wore a dazzling outfit and glittering microphone.

As he prepared for the next show, he took a deep breath and adjusted the blazer over his lace shirt. He knew he had to keep pushing through, but he also needed to find a way back to himself—because deep down, he understood that the true essence of his art lay in the authenticity of his feelings, both on and off the stage.

As Lewis wrapped up his last performance before heading to Germany, the atmosphere in the venue was electric. The crowd was alive with energy, singing every word back to him, but inside, he felt a storm brewing. The adrenaline that fueled him during the show began to fade, leaving behind a wave of exhaustion and nausea.

He had poured his heart into the performance, but as he stepped off stage, he could feel his body betraying him. The moment he reached the backstage area, the urge hit him like a freight train. Without warning, he bent over and vomited, the remnants of his dinner splattering onto the floor. His manager rushed to his side, concern etched across his face.

“Lewis! Holy shiit- Are you okay?” he asked, helping him to his feet. Lewis could barely respond, the bile still burning in his throat.

“I’m fine,” he managed to croak out, though the tremor in his voice betrayed him. His manager wasn’t convinced but didn’t press the issue, knowing how stubborn Lewis could be. Instead, he guided him toward the bus where they would be traveling to the next city.

As they walked, Lewis felt the weight of the world on his shoulders. He knew Sebastian was in the crowd soon, watching him, cheering him on. The thought should have brought him comfort, but instead, it felt like a spotlight shining on his struggles. He could already imagine Sebastian’s concerned expression when he saw how pale and shaky he looked.

Once on the bus, Lewis sank into a seat, his head spinning. The cramped space felt suffocating, and he took a moment to collect himself. He closed his eyes, taking deep breaths, trying to will the nausea away.

“Just a little longer,” he whispered to himself, hoping to regain some composure before seeing Sebastian. He could almost hear his boyfriend’s voice, filled with warmth and concern. “I’m here for you, Lewis.”

He reached for his phone, desperate to send a message to Sebastian, but he hesitated. What could he say? “I just vomited after performing” didn’t seem like the most romantic update. Instead, he decided to keep it light. “Just finished the show. Can’t wait to see you in Germany!”

After hitting send, he leaned back against the cool plastic of the bus seat, letting his mind drift. He pictured Sebastian in the crowd, cheering him on with that bright, halon smile. Just the thought brought a small flicker of joy amidst the turmoil.

As the bus rolled away from the venue, he felt a twinge of anxiety about the upcoming shows in Germany. He had to put on a brave face, but deep down, he felt fragile. The weight of his fame, the constant pressure to perform, and the toll it was taking on his mental and physical health weighed heavily on him.

“Lewis,” his manager said, breaking him from his thoughts. “We need to talk about your schedule. This isn’t sustainable.”

“Later,” Lewis replied, his voice firm despite his shaky demeanor. “Let’s just get to the venue first.”

He wasn’t ready to confront the reality of his situation just yet. All he could think about was getting to Germany and seeing Sebastian. The promise of that reunion was the only thing keeping him afloat in the swirling chaos of his life.

The bus ride was a blur of discomfort and nausea, a never-ending cycle of shaking and uncertainty. Four hours? Five? Lewis lost count, his sense of time slipping away with each wave of queasiness that rolled through him. The small bus rattled over potholes, each bump sending fresh jolts of unease through his stomach. He had already filled multiple small bags with the remnants of his last meal, each stop a desperate attempt to relieve the relentless churn inside him.

“No, I’m fine,” he insisted to the crew, even as they exchanged worried glances. They were kind enough to hide their concern, but Lewis could see it in their eyes—the way they lingered on him, the way they offered him water and snacks that he couldn’t even think about touching.

Once they arrived at the venue, night gave way to dawn, the pale light filtering through the bus windows as they began setting up. Lewis stepped off the bus, the fresh air hitting him like a wave of relief, but it was short-lived. He leaned heavily against the wall outside the venue, beads of sweat forming on his forehead, each breath feeling labored.

“I must have taken the wrong pill,” he mumbled to himself, shaking slightly. His fingers brushed against the cool concrete, seeking any semblance of stability. The familiar surroundings of the venue—bright lights, buzzing equipment, the smell of fresh paint—felt both comforting and overwhelming.

“Lewis,” his manager said, stepping into view, worry etched into every feature. “You don’t look good. Are you sure you can go on stage tonight?”

“I’ll be fine,” Lewis lied, forcing a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. The truth was, he felt anything but fine. His stomach churned ominously, a reminder of the rough journey that had brought them here.

“Fine isn’t good enough right now,” his manager pressed, arms crossed tightly over his chest, eyes scanning Lewis’s pale face. “You need to listen to your body. We can reschedule the show.”

“No,” Lewis insisted, his voice more resolute than he felt. “I can’t let them down. Not again. The fans are counting on me.”

He knew he sounded like a broken record, but it was true. The anticipation in the air, the sound of fans gathering outside, gave him a rush of adrenaline. He wanted to feel that connection, to pour his heart out on stage, but right now, his body felt like a stranger.

His manager sighed, clearly conflicted. “I don’t want you to put yourself in danger, Lewis. If you’re sick—”

“I’m not sick,” he interrupted, clenching his fists at his sides, fighting against the wave of dizziness threatening to overtake him. “I just need to rest for a bit. Once we’re set up, I’ll be ready.”

The stubbornness in his voice surprised even him, but it was a lifeline. The thought of disappointing his fans or, worse, Sebastian, who would be in the audience tonight, spurred him on.

“Okay,” his manager finally relented, though the concern remained in his eyes. “Just promise me you’ll let me know if it gets worse.”

“Promise,” Lewis replied, though he wasn’t sure how much he believed it himself.

As the crew continued setting up the stage, Lewis wandered off to a quieter corner, trying to steady his breath and calm his racing heart. He closed his eyes for a moment, focusing on the sound of the crew moving around him, the distant laughter of fans outside.

He thought of Sebastian—how excited he must be to see him perform, how proud he always made Lewis feel. That thought was enough to help him center himself, to remind him why he was here.

When it was time for soundcheck, he pushed through the fatigue, stepping onto the stage as the lights dimmed. The familiar thrill coursed through him, but it was laced with an undercurrent of unease. He grasped the microphone, took a deep breath, and began to sing, pouring every ounce of emotion into the performance, hoping against hope that it would carry him through.

During soundcheck, Lewis found himself leaning heavily against the walls and the microphone stand, each touch offering a fleeting sense of support as the world around him swayed. The energy of the venue buzzed with excitement, but he felt trapped in a fog, struggling to keep his eyes open. Every note he sang echoed in his chest, but the effort left him feeling drained, as if the music were siphoning away his energy rather than filling him with it.

“Just a few more minutes,” he murmured to himself, willing the sensation of exhaustion to pass. The crew noticed his struggle, casting concerned glances his way, but Lewis managed to push through the setlist, focusing on the sound of his own voice blending with the instruments. Yet every time he took a breath, he was reminded of the discomfort gnawing at his stomach.

Once soundcheck was over, he slipped away from the bustling stage, seeking a quiet corner backstage. The familiar hustle and bustle of the crew setting up, the laughter and chatter of fans waiting outside faded into the background as he found a small dressing room. It was dimly lit and invitingly calm, a sanctuary from the chaos outside.

He sank into the plush couch, the fabric enveloping him like a warm hug. Closing his eyes, he let himself drift off, knowing he had only a short window before the show would begin. The weight of his body finally found relief, and for a moment, he allowed himself to forget about the pills, the nausea, and the pressure of performing.

In that brief escape, dreams flickered behind his eyelids—moments spent with Sebastian, laughter shared, quiet moments of intimacy. Each memory felt like a balm for his soul, drawing him further away from the exhaustion that threatened to consume him.

When Lewis awoke, the distant sound of cheering filled the air, a reminder that showtime was approaching. He rubbed his eyes, feeling slightly disoriented but a bit more refreshed. The clock on the wall ticked closer to showtime, and with it came a surge of adrenaline.

“Just breathe,” he whispered to himself, standing up and stretching his body. He looked in the mirror, taking in the sight of himself—pale but determined. The outfit he had chosen—a sleek black lace shirt that shimmered under the lights—made him feel a spark of confidence, a reminder of the performer he was.

As he stepped out of the dressing room, the cheers grew louder, and he felt the weight of the moment settle on his shoulders. He walked towards the stage, gripping the microphone tightly, reminding himself of the joy he felt when he sang.

Despite the lingering nausea and exhaustion, the love he held for his fans and Sebastian fueled him. With each step, he embraced the energy around him, ready to face the crowd and pour his heart out into the music.

His makeup artist rushed to apply a layer of foundation, desperately trying to mask the sickly pallor that clung to Lewis’s skin, but it was a futile effort. No amount of makeup could disguise the fatigue etched into his features or the subtle tremor in his hands.

As Lewis stepped onto the stage, he felt a mix of anxiety and determination coursing through him. He had quickly changed into a loose hoodie, a big one with elegant Dior script sprawling across the front, paired with black trousers that hung comfortably on his frame. The choice shocked the crowd, who were accustomed to his flashy, meticulously curated looks.

The moment he stepped under the bright stage lights, the audience gasped, their murmurs rising like a wave. The contrast was striking, a far cry from the dazzling outfits he usually donned. It was as if he were standing there, stripped of the glitz that typically accompanied his performances, leaving only the raw vulnerability beneath.

“I’m so sorry… I’m not wearing the usual,” he began, forcing a light laugh to mask the tightness in his chest. “I would make an excuse, but I can’t think of one.” The crowd responded with a chorus of whoops and cheers, their energy palpable. They seemed to embrace him, hoodie and all, offering him comfort in the familiarity of their support.

His manager stood off to the side, watching with a mix of concern and relief. He could think of many excuses for Lewis’s uncharacteristic attire—tired from travel, under the weather, needing a break from the spotlight—but he chose silence instead, letting Lewis address the crowd on his own terms.

“Let’s make this a night to remember!” Lewis added, attempting to push through the exhaustion that threatened to pull him under. As the music began to swell, he took a deep breath, ready to pour his heart into the performance, hoping to find solace in the rhythm and the roar of his fans.

He started off with his love-sick songs, knowing they would offer him a chance to sit on stage or sway gently on his feet, disguising the tremors of fatigue that coursed through his body.

The opening notes of “Work Song” filled the air, a melody that wrapped around him like a warm embrace. As he began to sing, he searched the crowd for Sebastian, hoping to catch a glimpse of his comforting presence. With every lyric, he poured his heart into the song, yearning for the connection that transcended the distance between them. The words felt heavy with emotion, resonating in a way that reminded him of their stolen moments together.

Next up was “Someone New,” a song that required him to push his voice in ways he wasn’t sure he could manage at that moment. The chorus rang out, each note a struggle against the fatigue that clawed at him. He swayed lightly, letting the music guide him, trying to harness the energy of the audience to buoy his spirits.

With every crescendo, he felt their support, a wave of warmth washing over him, lifting his spirits even as his body protested. He was acutely aware of the whispers behind the scenes, the concern etched on his manager’s face, but he pushed it all aside.

As the final notes of “Someone New” faded, he let out a shaky breath, closing his eyes for a moment to gather himself. The cheers of the crowd were a balm to his soul, reminding him why he loved this—why he had to keep going. He knew that Sebastian was out there, cheering him on, and that thought alone was enough to fuel him for the next song.

Lewis straightened, a soft smile creeping onto his lips as he prepared for the next number, feeling the rush of adrenaline overshadow the weariness that threatened to overwhelm him.

Lewis felt his body give up, his eyes widening in alarm as he quickly leaned on the microphone stand, using it for support. Luckily for him, the lights were dim, casting shadows that hid his struggle from the audience. He took a deep breath, trying to regain his composure, and with a swift movement, he removed the microphone from the stand and sat down on the edge of the stage.

As he looked out at the crowd, a rush of warmth enveloped him. He could see the faces of his fans, their expressions filled with excitement and adoration, and for a moment, he felt a surge of energy. It was this connection that kept him going, even when his body felt heavy and uncooperative.

“Hey, everyone,” he said, his voice steady despite the fatigue. “I’m glad you’re all here tonight. It means the world to me.” The crowd cheered, their enthusiasm fueling him, and he couldn’t help but smile, even as his heart raced from the effort.

He leaned back slightly, the weight of his body resting against the cool stage, and let the music wash over him. “I might need to take a little break.. by sitting for this one.. also.. this one I love..,” he continued, trying to lighten the mood. “So, let’s sing together. This next one is for all of you.”

With that, he closed his eyes and let the familiar melody wash over him, focusing on the lyrics that poured from his heart.

Lewis gently started singing the lyrics to “Too Sweet,” his voice shaky but sincere, as he swayed gently in his seat. He could feel the crowd’s energy, their voices rising to join his, creating a warm, collective embrace that both thrilled and overwhelmed him. But with each note, a growing unease settled in his stomach, twisting and turning as he tried to focus on the music.

“But who wants to live forever, babe?” he sang, his gaze drifting across the dimly lit audience, searching for Sebastian. He found him standing near the front, a mix of concern and admiration in his eyes. “You treat your mouth as if it’s Heaven’s gate, the rest of you like you’re the TSA.”

As he continued, the lyrics flowed from him, but the weight of nausea settled deeper, making it harder to maintain his balance. “I wish I could go along, babe, don’t get me wrong.” He closed his eyes for a moment, swaying again, trying to find his footing in the moment, even as he felt himself start to waver. The world around him blurred, and he leaned heavily against the microphone stand, desperate to keep himself steady.

The audience chimed in, their voices harmonizing with his, a comforting sound that filled the venue, but it felt like a distant echo as Lewis fought against the waves of discomfort washing over him.

“Don’t you just wanna wake up, dark as a lake? Smelling like a bonfire, lost in a haze?” He tried to keep his voice strong, but it trembled slightly, revealing the struggle beneath. “If you’re drunk on life, babe, I think it’s great, but while in this world…”

He paused, the pressure in his chest tightening, and the sweat now trickling down his back. His voice lowered, a hint of vulnerability slipping through. “I think I’ll take my whiskey neat, my coffee black and my bed at three. You’re too sweet for me.”

The crowd erupted in applause, but Lewis felt a wave of dizziness sweep over him, his vision narrowing. He leaned into the mic with a forced grin, desperate to lighten the mood, “Isn’t it funny? I’m singing a song about whiskey and sweetness when I refuse to drink!” The audience laughed, but the sound felt muffled to him, as if he were underwater.

He could feel his body giving up, the heat of the stage mixing with the cool night air, and he had to remind himself to breathe. “Thank you, everyone,” he managed, the words barely escaping his lips as he fought against the urge to collapse.

Lewis took a deep breath, forcing himself to stand. He made his way across the stage, his legs feeling heavy with every step. He grabbed a chair and placed it in the middle of the stage, turning to the audience with a sheepish grin.

“Okay, so… funny story and some context,” he began, his voice wavering slightly. “I did a really intense leg workout after my last show, and then I went and sat… in a bus for six hours…” He laughed lightly, but it felt strained, as if the effort was too much. “My legs are, like, crying. So I’m just gonna sit sometimes if that’s cool with you all?”

The crowd cheered, their support palpable, but Lewis could feel the heat rising in his body. He sank into the chair, grateful for the support, but as he settled, the nausea hit him again. He took a moment to collect himself before starting “Chanel.”

As the music began, he stared into the crowd, locking eyes with Sebastian, who was standing at the edge with a worried expression. The familiarity of Sebastian’s gaze gave him strength, but it didn’t alleviate the sickness creeping in. He took a deep breath, trying to focus on the lyrics.

“My guy pretty like a girl

And he got fight stories to tell

I see both sides like Chanel

See on both sides like Chanel”

He sang, his voice steady at first, but as he continued, he felt the world tilt.

“Swimmin’ laps through pool water

Heated like I’m underworld

Hide my tattoos in Shibuya

Police think I’m of the underworld”

The lyrics flowed from his lips, yet each line felt like a heavier weight. He swayed slightly in the chair, feeling sweat trickle down his back.

His voice began to waver as he pressed on. The lyrics hung in the air, and he could feel the room’s energy shift, the audience swaying along, but he was losing himself in the discomfort.

“I see both sides like Chanel

See on both sides like Chanel

It’s really you on my mind

It’s really you on my mind”

He managed to finish the whole song, but the nausea intensified. As he looked back at Sebastian, he silently pleaded for understanding, wishing he could just push through the song without feeling like he might break apart.

Lewis braced himself for the next song, feeling the energy of the crowd wash over him. He could hear the music start, a familiar beat pulsing through the venue. With a slight nod, he looked up into the crowd, gathering his strength, and began to sing:

“I took my drugs and took my lovin’ when I left out the spot

I left the party with a German, markin’ X on the dot.”

He paused, feeling the eyes of his fans on him, and decided to make it personal.

“She calls my phone up but I told her, ‘I’m a loner’ (uh)

But she likes my watch and my droptop and my persona (uh)”

The audience erupted in cheers as he changed the lyrics to reflect his feelings, twisting the words just enough to make it feel intimate. It was a fleeting connection, one that momentarily took him away from the nausea that churned in his stomach.

“We hit the highway, 1-5-5, with my whole foot on the dash

She’s in my ear, she’s got no fear, she could care less if we crash.”

The energy was electric, the crowd screaming in response, their excitement feeding into his adrenaline. But as he sang, he felt his body betraying him again, the rush of heat creeping up on him, and he could barely keep his focus. He had to push through; there were still two more songs to go.

Lewis leaned into the microphone, trying to hide the strain in his voice as he continued.

Lewis could feel the sweat dripping down his back, each drop reminding him of the struggle he was facing. He fought through the discomfort, pushing the nausea aside as he delivered the last notes of the song. The crowd cheered, their energy fueling him for just a moment longer.

Taking a deep breath, he prepared for the next song, one that would delve into the themes of intimacy and desire. He decided to change his approach; instead of searching for Sebastian in the crowd, he would close his eyes and let the lyrics flow, as if he were singing them to each individual listening.

With the music starting, he began to sway slightly, feeling the rhythm seep into his bones.

His voice, though strained, was laced with sultry undertones. He imagined the faces in the crowd, each person captivated by the way he poured his heart into the lyrics. He could sense the electricity in the air, the way his words stirred something deep within them.

He kept his eyes closed, letting the sensations wash over him, trying to ignore the dizziness that threatened to pull him under. The song was meant to be an escape, and he hoped to share that feeling with everyone present.

As he continued, the familiar feeling of exhaustion tugged at him, but he forced himself to remain present, to embody the passion of the song. This was the connection he craved—the kind that transcended the physical distance between him and the audience, and he wanted to give them everything he had, even if it meant pushing through his own limits.

Finally, as the song reached its climax, he opened his eyes just for a moment, scanning the crowd before his gaze found Sebastian, whose unwavering support grounded him.

Once he finished the song, breathing heavily.

The crowd erupted in cheers, their excitement propelling him forward, yet Lewis felt the weight of fatigue settle on his shoulders. He had one more song to sing, and he knew he had to dig deep to give it his all.

Here’s a revised version with more detail and correct punctuation:

He heard his stomach churn, the medicine wreaking havoc on him. He prayed the crowd didn’t notice, pushing through the discomfort as best he could.

For the last song, he sang quietly, turning the performance into something intimate. His voice was soft but full of emotion, making each word feel personal to the audience. As he finished, he took a shaky breath and thanked everyone, his voice barely steady. Then, he waved to the crowd, calling his manager over before slowly exiting the stage.

He leaned in close to speak to his manager, unaware that the microphone was still live.

“Miles… I can’t feel my legs. I’m struggling—I can’t stand… to—” His voice cracked through the speakers, echoing across the venue.

His eyes widened in panic as he realized what had just happened. The entire crowd had heard his words. The fear in his voice was unmistakable, and the arena fell into a tense, uneasy silence as they all realized something was very wrong.

Lewis stared out at the crowd in disbelief, and his manager followed suit, frozen for a moment before they both rushed off stage in a panic. The second they were backstage, Lewis hunched over a trash can, violently vomiting, his body trembling. His knees buckled, and within moments, he collapsed, unconscious on the cold floor.

His manager, now frantic, knelt beside him, shaking Lewis, trying to rouse him. In desperation, he splashed water on his face, his eyes darting around for help. The sight was chaotic, filled with fear and confusion.

Then, Sebastian appeared, pushing through the crowd of crew members. His heart sank when he saw Lewis lying there, pale, weak, and alarmingly thinner than before. He knelt beside him, gently lifting his head and holding him close, his face full of concern.

“Hey, I’m here,” Sebastian whispered, his voice trembling as he ran his fingers through Lewis’ damp hair, hoping his presence would bring him back.

Lewis stirred, his eyelids fluttering as he regained consciousness moments after Sebastian arrived.

“Bastian…” he whined weakly, his voice barely a whisper, thick with exhaustion. Sweat clung to his forehead, and he felt disoriented, lost in a haze of nausea and fatigue.

Sebastian’s heart ached at the sight of him; he quickly wrapped an arm around Lewis, gently lifting him off the cold floor. “I’ve got you,” he reassured, his voice steady despite the panic rising within him. He carried Lewis to the nearby break room, where the air felt cooler against his flushed skin.

Once there, Sebastian settled Lewis onto a chair, grabbing a bottle of water. “Drink this,” he urged, placing it against Lewis’ lips. The water was cool and refreshing, but it didn’t stay down for long. Lewis’ stomach churned violently as he gulped, and with a sudden wave of nausea, he bent forward, retching into a trash can nearby.

Sebastian held his hair back, whispering soft encouragements. “Just let it all out. You’ll feel better, I promise.” With each heave, Lewis emptied the remnants of the pills that had tormented him, his body shaking with the effort.

The hours passed in a blur of anxiety and concern as Sebastian stayed by Lewis’s side, offering him water and a steady presence. Every small victory was met with a gentle squeeze of Lewis’s hand, and every setback was met with comforting words. Lewis was exhausted, his body marked with the remnants of his struggles. He felt a deep ache throughout, an unsettling mixture of exhaustion and pain.

“I can’t… I can’t, Sebastian…” Lewis cried, the tears spilling down his cheeks. Each sob was a reminder of the toll that the tour and the pressure had taken on him.

Sebastian’s heart broke at the sight of him. He leaned closer, brushing his fingers gently over Lewis’s damp hair. “You can, Lewis. You’re strong. Just take it one step at a time.”

Eventually, Sebastian took it upon himself to bring Lewis home. He drove with care, stealing glances at him in the passenger seat, his heart aching at the sight of the man he loved so deeply in such a vulnerable state. The quiet hum of the engine filled the car, broken only by Lewis’s soft breaths and occasional winces of pain.

As they pulled into the driveway, Sebastian parked and turned to Lewis, gently cupping his face. “I’m right here,” he said softly, leaning in to kiss him gently, pouring all his love and reassurance into that small gesture. “Let’s get you inside.”

With careful hands, he helped Lewis out of the car, wrapping an arm around his waist for support as they made their way into the house. The warmth of their home enveloped them, a stark contrast to the chilling reality of the night. Sebastian knew they had a long road ahead, but he was determined to be there for Lewis, every step of the way.

The amounts of pills he had been consuming had completely fucked him up, leaving his body aching and his muscles straining under the weight of exhaustion. Every slight movement sent shockwaves of pain coursing through him, a cruel reminder of the toll he had taken on himself. Lewis felt as if he were caught in a relentless storm, the aftermath of which had stripped him of both strength and clarity.

Sebastian noticed the way Lewis grimaced, his brows furrowing in discomfort as he leaned against the wall for support. “I’m here, Lewis,” he said softly, his voice laced with concern. “Just breathe.”

“I don’t know what’s happening to me,” Lewis whispered, a tremor in his voice. The reality of his situation sank in deeper, a heavy weight pressing on his chest. “I feel so lost.”

Sebastian moved closer, wrapping an arm around him, grounding him with his presence. “We’ll get through this. You’re not alone. I promise.” He guided Lewis toward the couch, helping him sit down gently.

As Lewis settled in, he felt the softness of the cushions beneath him but couldn’t escape the gnawing sensation in his stomach or the tightness in his chest. “I thought I could handle it all,” he confessed, the words slipping out in a shaky breath. “But it just… it got too much.”

“It’s okay to admit that,” Sebastian replied, his eyes earnest. “You’ve been under so much pressure, and it’s not weak to say you need help. You deserve to take care of yourself.”

Lewis looked down at his hands, trembling slightly. “I’ve let it get out of control. I didn’t want to disappoint anyone.”

Sebastian knelt down in front of him, placing his hands on Lewis’s knees. “You could never disappoint me. I love you too much for that. Let’s focus on you right now, okay? We’ll figure out the rest together.”

Lewis refused to go on social media for a week, seeking solace in the quiet moments he shared with Sebastian in Germany. With his lover by his side, he focused on regaining his ability to feel emotions without the numbness that had plagued him for so long. The chaotic whirlwind of fame had left him feeling hollow, and the aftermath of his breakdown weighed heavily on his mind and body.

His muscles were tense, each movement a reminder of the toll he had taken on himself. The pain lingered, but he found comfort in the small things: the warmth of Sebastian’s hand in his, the sound of their shared laughter echoing in the quiet apartment they rented for the week, and the soothing rhythm of Sebastian’s voice as he read aloud from books or shared stories from his childhood.

Sebastian took a week off work, fully committed to supporting Lewis in his recovery. He made it a priority to create a safe space for Lewis to heal. Each morning, he would prepare light meals, carefully choosing foods that Lewis could tolerate, encouraging him to eat without fear. They spent afternoons taking slow walks, the crisp German air invigorating but not overwhelming, allowing Lewis to breathe in the present moment without the weight of expectations or deadlines.

“Just focus on me and your recovery,” Sebastian would often remind him, his voice gentle yet firm. “We’ll take it one day at a time.”

Lewis appreciated the way Sebastian seemed to understand without needing to say much. When the memories of performances haunted him or the shame of his actions threatened to pull him back into the darkness, Sebastian was there, grounding him with his presence. He would hold Lewis close, whispering soft reassurances, reminding him that it was okay to be vulnerable, to lean on someone else when he felt weak.

At night, they would lie in bed, Sebastian’s fingers tracing gentle patterns on Lewis’s arm as he shared dreams of the future—dreams of a time when they could travel without the burden of stress, when music would once again bring Lewis joy rather than anxiety. These conversations, filled with hope and love, helped soothe the edges of Lewis’s pain.

As the week progressed, he began to feel glimmers of his old self returning. He could laugh more freely, the sound bubbling up without hesitation. The tension in his muscles started to ease, and for the first time in a long while, he felt like he was slowly reconnecting with who he was beneath the layers of fame and expectation.

By the end of the week, Lewis was still on his journey to recovery, but he knew that with Sebastian beside him, he was no longer alone. Together, they were forging a path toward healing, one step at a time.

As Lewis settled back into a sense of normalcy, he felt a familiar tug in his heart—a desire to create. He wanted to write music there in Germany, away from the chaos of the spotlight, where he could pour his experiences and emotions onto the page without the pressures of fame looming over him. The beauty of the countryside and the tranquility of their surroundings ignited a spark of inspiration within him.

He opened his phone, hesitating as he scrolled through the notifications. The messages flooded in, reminders of the world he had temporarily stepped away from. There were videos, too—clips of his last performance, where he had appeared sick and unsteady on stage. His heart sank as he watched himself, pale and fragile, leaning heavily on the microphone stand, his eyes filled with uncertainty. The sight of his own vulnerability was jarring, a stark contrast to the vibrant persona the world had come to know.

Lewis felt a wave of shame wash over him, but Sebastian, sensing his discomfort, gently placed a hand on his back. “Hey,” he murmured, drawing Lewis’s attention back to the present. “You don’t have to look at that now. Focus on what you want to create. We can tackle everything else later.”

Taking a deep breath, Lewis closed his eyes, allowing Sebastian’s warmth to reassure him. “You’re right,” he said, trying to shake off the negativity that clung to him. “I want to write. I want to channel this experience into something real.”

With newfound determination, he grabbed his notebook and pen, sinking into the cozy corner of their rented apartment. The sunlight streamed in through the window, casting a warm glow on the pages. He began to write, letting the words flow freely, transforming the pain and struggle into melodies and lyrics that spoke to his soul.

Each line he penned felt like a release, a cathartic expression of everything he had endured. He wrote about the darkness that had threatened to consume him, the love that had pulled him back into the light, and the hope that flickered in the distance, guiding him toward healing.

Sebastian quietly watched from the other side of the room, a soft smile on his face as he observed Lewis finding solace in his music once again. He could see the tension gradually lifting from Lewis’s shoulders, the way his eyes lit up with passion as the words began to take shape.

After hours of writing, Lewis leaned back, stretching his arms overhead. “This feels good,” he said, glancing over at Sebastian. “It’s like I’m finally putting all of this into something that matters.”

Sebastian nodded, his heart swelling with pride. “You’re making art from your truth, Lewis. That’s powerful.”

Encouraged by Sebastian’s words, Lewis decided it was time to reconnect with his manager. He picked up his phone and hesitated for a moment, considering what to say. When he finally typed out a message, it felt liberating—a declaration of his intent to take control of his narrative moving forward. He wanted to work on his terms, away from the suffocating pressures of the industry.

As he hit send, a sense of clarity washed over him. He was no longer just a figure in the spotlight; he was an artist reclaiming his voice, ready to share his journey with the world on his own terms.

The days in Germany became a sanctuary for Lewis, a time for reflection and rejuvenation. With each passing moment, he felt stronger, more in tune with himself, and deeply grateful for the unwavering support of the man who had stood by him through it all. Together, they would navigate whatever came next, armed with love and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.

He needed the break and Sebastian plus his little tiny house might be his forever house.
