It’s midnight, and the whole house was silent. Rain poured from the sky as it stormed outside, and Alban was still awake preparing his big heist. He’s never done something like this before, he’s never even dared to, but he’s going to do it right now! The brown haired catboy was planning on sneaking into the room next to his, all because he was frightened by the sounds of the thunder and lightning. This wasn’t just some urge that he got though! Alban’s already planned everything out. In the room next to his, Sonny is staying in there and Alban would rather sell every organ he has than give up on a chance to sleep together with Sonny for the night.
Fluffy ears twitch on top of his head as Alban grabs his blanket and drapes it over his shoulders. The first phase of his plan was to make himself look as cute and pitiful as possible so Sonny would have no choice but to let him cuddle and sleep together. Thankfully enough for Alban, he didn’t need to do a lot of that since he already knew that Sonny has a weak spot for him anyways. He’s trying to make his footsteps as light as possible. As a catboy himself, Alban knows that every catboy’s ears are sensitive to sound, so if he even makes one noise that was too loud, Sonny could catch him in the act and ruin all of his plans immediately!
His hand holds on to the cold doorknob in front of Sonny’s room, sucking in a deep breath as he turns it. God, why is he so hesitant to even walk in right now? The real deal hadn’t even started yet! Alban eventually found the courage to push the door open, his entire body being hit with the cold air from the air conditioning blasting in Sonny’s room. The calico-cat boy had fully expected Sonny to be asleep by now, but to his shock, the bright blonde-haired man was laid on his side, scrolling through his phone. Alban stopped himself from letting out a gasp just as bluey-purple eyes met his own.
“Alban? What are you here for?” Sonny shut off his phone immediately, standing up to walk up to Alban who was frozen still at his door with a big blanket around him. The blonde-haired man was undoubtedly confused, but he welcomed him into his room anyway. It wasn’t like Alban was a stranger to him. “Um! Sorry to disturb you, Sonny, but uh..” His voice came out a little soft and awkward, almost embarrassed now that he really was caught! If he’d sneaked in while Sonny was sleeping, at least he could take advantage of his sleepy self and just slip right into his arms!
“Would you mind if I slept with you tonight? It's storming really hard out, and.. I’m kinda cold..” It wasn’t 100% a lie! Winter was approaching slowly, and the weather had been getting colder and colder daily. It was hard for them as catboys, you know? Thankfully enough for Alban, Sonny was big-hearted enough to buy his excuse and happily allowed him to slip right into his bed with his back facing Sonny’s chest. Alban piled his own blanket that he’d brought into Sonny’s bed too, giving more warmth and things to cover themselves up with. He sure was happy that Sonny didn't ask why he chose to sleep with him instead of Uki or Fulgur. He definitely wouldn’t have an answer for him then.
“Are you scared of the thunder, Alban?” Sonny’s voice is much softer when he asks the question, arms going to wrap around the smaller man’s to comfort him more. Alban was embarrassed, hesitating on his reply. Sonny would never make fun of him for being scared of thunder, right? “Um… yeah, a little I guess.” The truth was that Alban’s always been afraid of loud noises, especially if he can’t anticipate when it’s gonna happen. Soft ears flattened to the top of his head as he shuffled a little closer to Sonny, burying his back into the soft fabric of Sonny’s shirt. His blanket that he had brought in was long forgotten in the corner of the bed.
“I see..” Sonny’s voice trailed off a little, leaning down just to press his face into Alban’s fluffy brown hair. A fierce blush spread like wildfire over the calico catboy’s face, trying desperately to get his heartbeat to slow down before Sonny could hear it. “Well, if you’re ever scared you can come to me, m’kay? I’ll protect you.” There was a ghost of a smile dancing on Sonny’s lips as he spoke. A gentle voice that was smooth like honey flowed right to Alban’s ears, warming them up. He could only nod, too afraid that he wouldn’t like the way his voice would come out if he tried to speak out a reply. Is this real? Did Sonny really just say that he’d protect him so casually? This definitely wasn’t a normal thing between friends, right? Call him delusional, but Alban was a hundred percent sure that there was at least some kind of spark between them!
“Why weren’t you asleep yet?” Alban mumbled out quietly, lucky that Sonny couldn’t see his stupid strawberry-red face right now. God, this was so embarrassing but he doesn’t regret it one bit. “I was just catching up on some things, and I didn’t really feel sleepy then.” It was unfair just how much sexier Sonny could sound when he was getting sleepy. His already hot voice becomes a million times hotter by dropping a couple octaves. The way his words slurred a little, it had Alban shuffling around a little in the bed as he was trying desperately to keep himself sane.
“A-Alban.. Don’t move so much.” Sonny muttered out, his hands held on to the catboy’s sides as he tried to stop the movements of his hips. The sudden touch of Sonny’s hands on his hips made Alban’s eyes widen. “Huh? Sonny, are you okay?” He tried to turn around, the moment Alban’s tail swayed against the lower part of Sonny’s body, his face flushed even redder at the feeling of something that poked out from Sonny’s pajama pants.
Oh.
Oh.
Alban's body immediately went still at the realization, his ears perking up. “God.. I’m sorry Alban, I-” Sonny muttered out, desperate to defend himself. He definitely seemed like a pervert to Alban now, didn’t he? “No, it’s- it’s okay Sonny!” Alban’s ears twitched, tail flicking from side to side on instinct as he got more and more nervous. He tried to get it to stop so he wouldn’t accidentally brush it against “that” spot again.
“Um.. Let’s just go to sleep?”
“Oh.. Okay.”
Surely Alban’ll forget all about this in the morning, and they’d never have to discuss this again.
