"Do you want a drink?" Jaemin manages to ask politely this time, motioning for Renjun to sit next to him. The latter complies, although he still looks a little bit annoyed at Jaemin's earlier behavior and perhaps also insulted at the perceived disinterest. That's actually far from the truth as objectively speaking, Jaemin finds Renjun attractive. But that's something Jaemin can fix much later on in the night.
In the meantime, he needs to establish the rules first.
"I already know about it," Renjun says after a sip of whatever fruity drink the bartender has given him. "Donghyuck told me and you don't have to worry. The last thing I need from you is commitment. I will never expect a serious relationship."

Summary
Look, Jisung is a good guy. He’s never drunk or smoked or snorted any funny substance despite what his peers usually find themselves doing. Jisung prefers to stay indoors, holed up in his movie room with some popcorn. So, something like frickin murder is an astronomical step up from lounging around like a couch potato, languishing the days away.
Or: Jisung sees a dead body, he meets Zhong Chenle, and things start to take a more disturbing turn.
