Summary
Yuji doesn’t know when it happened. It did, though, some time ago. Maybe it was before Shibuya, maybe it was after their first mission, or maybe it built up like snow on a mountain and this is just the avalanche. His chest feels heavy and light at the same time and he’s aware of Megumi’s hand on his thigh and the way the couch shifts as Nobara sits back down. The movie doesn’t even matter, not really, and Yuji can’t bring himself to care about what’s happening on the screen.
Do they know it, too? The feeling that presses soft cotton between his ribcage, that makes him feel that under his sunburned skin there’s bright and beautiful colors that he’s never seen before? Do they feel it in this shape, or is Yuji the only one?
